"Going out?" Vincent ask, while his eyes focused on the game he was playing. His hands busy pressing buttons on the PS3 controller.
Ekko fully dressed from head to toe. He was wearing a dark grey woolen hat. It was the cheap kind as you can tell from the loose strands that was slowly popping up. He matched it with a maroon sweater together with a black sweat pants.
He choose an old worn out shoes, with the engraving of a Puma on the side.
"How do I look?" Ekko asked Vincent as he was scrutinizing his appearance on the living room mirror.
"It looks good." replied Vincent taking a brief glance at his brother.
"Just going to the forest. I feel stuffy being inside the house for a few days now. As you know I don't particularly like the overly bright sunlight. So the forest will provide the shade I'm craving as well as the fresh air from nature." announced Ekko as he grab a back pack filled with snacks.
"Hmm." said Vincent.

Ekko Sunlight arrived in the outskirts of the forest. It wasn't very far from where he lived. In fact it only took him about half an hour to get here. Not many people go here ever since a murder incident occurred where a man killed his wife and two children on Christmas and attempted to bury their decapitated body here.
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
After that. Rumors came flying around that the ghost of the wife and kids linger around this forest, making anyone who encounters them suffer the same tragic fate.
But Ekko Sunlight was no coward. Those bunch of pansies. There were no simply such thing. Although the eeriness of the forest doesn't help its currently rising reputation.
'It's none of my concern. Besides they weren't even buried here.'
"Hmm?"
Suddenly Ekko heard a growling noise from a far. He's sensitive ears, picked up an unusual sound.
The hair on his body began to stand on end in terror.
'Could it be true?' he asked himself nervously.
He looked around his surroundings, unknowingly he began to unconsciously walk deeper towards the forest while lost in his thoughts.
Just to be safe, Ekko quickly made a run towards a nearby tree, he hid behind the body of the tree, and he looked towards the source of the noise. After a few minutes has passed, Ekko did not hear the noise again.
'Must have been my imagination of course'. He sighed in relief.
There was a flash of movement and behind him was a growl. The sort of growl a dog would make except it was deeper and far more sinister.
He slowly turn around to find a giant dog staring at him with its red eyes. Its size was so large that it could have been mistaken for a cattle. But Ekko was sure that the thing before him was a canine. There was no mistaken the shape of its head, its familiar features. The only thing different was its color and its eyes.
From head to toe, the large canine was black. It was pure black, almost like concentrated black ink from a pen.
The large black canine inched closer and closer, it bared its unusually large fangs at Ekko.
Ekko was frozen. He find himself unable to move. Like rabbit in front of a predator.
His body was shaking, not from the cold but from the sheer terror he felt.
"Damn it!" he cursed.'Why me?' He questioned.
As he pump some courage into his terrified legs and ran for his life.
