The Necromancer of Justice Chapter 6

At first after finding out that his life was now tied to a weak looking undead he just felt sorry for himself. Looking at the cute little thing he tried to think about how he should handle the situation.

“Maybe it’s not so bad. Possible it just looks weak. First thing first I should check it’s status window.” He thought to himself.

“Undead rabbit states window”

Please assign undead rabbit a name.

“It needs a name? I thought it was just a generic zombie. What should I call you?” He wondered while looking into it’s dead little eyes.

“I’ve got nothing. Whatever I should just pick something even if it’s stupid. “

“Justice Bunny.”

“I guess it really is kind of bad”

Next he decided to check how his own states had changed after becoming a necromancer.

"State Window"

Not much better then the rabbit, but he still had 60 state point to use so it was about to get better. thinking about it logically necromancers weren't really front line fighters. If he and the bunny stayed in the back protected by an army of the undead then his new fluffy weakness shouldn’t really be a problem. What he really needed was a powerful undead army.

To that end he put all of his states into intelligence. Intelligence increased mana, mana regeneration and also made spells more powerful which meant he could raise more powerful undead. After putting all his points into intelligence it went up to 70, his Mana went up to 318 and his Mana regeneration went up to 0.37 mana a second.

His Basic Resurrect Dead spell cost forty mana to reserect a body, and an addition 1 mana every 2.5 minutes to maintain the undead minion. Currently he regenerates 0.37 mana per second which meant he generated 55.5 mana every 2.5 minutes meaning that he could maintain a maximum of 55 undead minions.

"Not bad." He thought smiling. Nodding to himself firmly he set out into the night.

The first thing he encountered was a fox. Using chain shot he managed to shoot three arrows before it reached him and two of them hit the target.

"I'm getting better at this" he thought to himself happy.

At the last moment he jumped to the side to void the fox's attack, but he was only partially successful. At least he managed to avoid a critical strike. He noticed that the damage was much more than it was during the day. If he wasn't careful he would be dead before he built up anything.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

The fox prepared for another strike while he took out his knife. When it moved back it he waited for. He manage to land another strike, but the fox did as well and this time it scored a critical dealing 32 pints of damage. He staggered back from the impact. Not good. A few more hit like that and things wouldn't end in his favor.

For a while they exchanged blows, but it was quickly becoming apparent that he was at a disadvantage. The fox still had fifty percent of it’s life left while he was down to thirty. He'd over estimated his strength. Even though he was at a higher level he was still a squishy mage without any decent fighting skills.

“Justice bunny I choose you.  Attack it from behind.”

The undead bunny seemed to understand what he wanted and attacked from behind knocking it’s health down another ten percent while drawing its attention.

Taking advantage of the opportunity he cast Minor Restore Undead on it taking out most of it's remaining life.  After that using a pincer attack the bunny and him managed to finish it off in short order.

New state Leadership has been created.  Leadership is the act or instance of leading a group or an organization.  In general Involves providing guidance, and direction.  This stat effects your ability to control the actions of NPCs.

Good.  He was going to need leadership if he was to succeed as a necromancer.  He used his magic to resurrected the fox, then had the two undead guard him while he meditated to restore his mana.

"With three of us now the next one should be much easier." He thought.

It was easier but building his undead army was still a slow and painful process.  As he got more minions adding more became easier, but zombies weren't known for their speed.  Most of his time was spent just getting to the next fight, but still he was happy with the progress he was making.  It was really starting to look like becoming a necromancer was the right choice after all.

The wolves were restless.  They smelled a wrongness in the air.  It smelled of death and dark magic.  Many of the smaller animals were disappearing even though the adventures didn’t come out at night.  They formed a pack of close to twenty wolves.  They would deal with this new blight before it doomed them all.

Howling battle cries they followed their noses to the source of the corruption.  In a small clearing there was a groups of animals including foxes, rabbits and raccoons.  By their smell the wolves could tell they were the enemy.  Growling deeply they attacked.

They tore through the ranks of the undead with their furious charge.  The low level undead tried put up a fight, but bunnies, raccoons and foxes couldn’t stand against the ferocious wolves.  It was like something from a horror movie except it was hard to tell which side was the more horrifying.  Was it the fuzzy little criters covered in gore with their glassy dead eyes or was it the furious wolves.  At any rate it was enough to give someone nightmares, but soon it was over.  The powerful wolves beat the more numerous undead without any casualties .  Soon there was only one undead left.  A small little fox that had escaped destruction by being apart from the group and not engaging in the fight.  The ferocious wolves moved in on for the kill.

*boom*

The fox exploded taking out most of the wolves instantly.  Only the wolves that were the farthest away survived and they were badly damaged in a state of shock and confusion.  That was when the second undead army struck.  They came out of the trees surrounding the clearing limping limping on their little undead paws making eerie noises.

The sight struck horror into the hearts of the remaining wolves.  With their reduced numbers and injuries they would have trouble with a group of the same size as the first one they had fought, but this group of undead was even larger.  Some of the wolves tried to run, but they were quickly surrounded and brought down by the undead horde.

The remaining wolves steadied their resolve and prepared to make their last stand.  Packing themselves close together they instinctively formed a circle with back facing each other while slowly the undead army tightened the noose.

The wolves fought valiantly, but one by one they fell.  As they did the other fell back more forming a tighter circle.  Soon there was only a handful left.  Instinctively they knew it would soon be over.  Howling their defence they charged into the ranks of the undead.  Fighting fiercely for a short time the undead were driving back, but it couldn't last and soon the last wolf fell into the endless night.

Mounted on an undead wolf skylar surveyed his army.

"Good, very good."  With the addition of the new undead wolves things were going along quite nicely he thought.

At first when he heard the wolves howling he thought he was doomed, but then he remembered the self destruct potions.  Poring one of them down the throat of one of his undead minions he left it in the clearing along with some bait, and everything had worked out perfectly.  Justice was truly smiling on him this night.   Now he would go out and conquer new areas.

“Forward my minions, for justice.  Hahahahah…..”
