Noah PoV
I looked as Gunner removes his helmet inside the ship and rolls on the ground laughing, the pilot and co-pilot were also laughing there asses off like they had seen the funniest thing in the world.
“So what’s so funny? That was a bit of a serious situation you know?” Jessica asked.
“Lass, y-you really don’t know?! Fine let me tell you!” Gunner says as he gets up and sits on one of the seats.
“There is a deep hate between scrappers and mechanics of the stations, we are both mechanics in the trade but scrappers think they are better than us because they travel the universe and scavenge lots of different ships making instant profit normally large or small depending on the wrecks they find but stay poor during the time they can’t find anything. Those shitty mechanics makes scavenging the scrapyards harder because they invest money into tools and gear made specifically for use in space. That is why when in a scrapyard you should always be careful of them since they aren’t afraid to kill to take what you already scavenged. I didn’t destroy them because we had some valuable stuff this time but if it was any other occasion I would have left them as corpses in space, buck naked after killing and stripping them of everything and even taking their blasted ship and made better use of that flying scrap pile!” He says.
“Don’t forget to tell them that scrappers are the biggest pains in the ass!” The pilot shouted from the front. It made Gunner laugh again.
“Hey! What were those circle things you tossed?” Hilda asked.
“Oh this?” he said and brought out a circle thing that appeared out of thin air, probably from the inventory. This thing was probably a consumable. This one in particular was black but had blue lights, one glowing around the lines. A few others appeared each looked the same but had different colored lights.
“Dis one with the white light is a Flash grenade. Bitch can turn even the best beasties blind for a good few minutes. the one with red light is an laser energy shield used for blocken lasers but with some defense against plasma. the one with yellow light is a plasma shield and the one with blue light is a psionic shield. These in particular are my own personally built models.” He says.
“Are they hard to make?” I asked.
“Aye, bitches to make without them bursting in your face or activating.” He says with a grimace.
“Anyway lets get ready to move the stuff.” Gunner said and gets up and puts on his helmet.
I looked out the window and saw through the opening, that was covered by an energy shield, that we were already getting ready to dock.
I lift the crates up and Gunner pulls the Life support. As the ship docks I jump over and get onto the docks and pull over the girls first making sure they are firmly on the docks. Then Gunner pushed one crate at a time so that I can be safe that it would arrive.
The two girls hold onto them while I start to pull the tanks out.
I noticed how some dock personnel stared at what we were pulling out. Knowing the ship was one that went to the scrapyard. This meant there was some luck to be had there.
At the rear of everything Gunner came out shocking them people staring and they started to tremble a bit since they knew the fish was a bit too big to try and catch.
[table]
His commands were followed more or less okay but I was starting to get a headache from using so much Psi in such a short amount of time.
We had to travel up a lift around the outside of the station to get to the correct docks my husk of a ship was on.
Finally reaching the husk I found myself a bit out of breath from using the psi so much. I was trembling a bit as I try to take a few deeper breaths.
The others don’t miss it.
[table]
Gunner: Bring the crates while we take the Life support to your ship.Gunner: Lets take a short break or the kid will break and faint.
I let myself sit on the docks and rested on my back before I move my hand to my head that was hurting.
Gunner: you really need to get a Psi container kid. Dwarfs don’t have much but we got tech so learn more about it already
After a few minutes my headache subsided and I read the message and told Lia to note down the Psi container thing Gunner mentioned.
After my psi recharged I got up by simply pushing off the floor and let my upperbody rise while my feet were magnetically connected to the docks piers.
Noah: Alright, let’s go!
I tell them and then nod.
I grab the crates again and Gunner takes the life support and we reach the ship which was in the same place as before.
Hilda: Woah! This ship looks cool! It reminds me of a haunted house where you will suddenly see a ghost coming at your or even a zombie but since this is a sci-fi setting it just looks like an epic wreck!Gunner: Undead is nonsense but there is something that gets close and is 50 times worse than them. There is some people that went into space during the original space expansion and when they were encountered, they had mutilated themselves with metal shards and were mad. they are the biggest menace in space.
Gunners description causes us to pale but he never said their name as if it was taboo. He doesn’t care though as he jumps into the hole on the side of the ship and then pulls the girls in. I push his weapons out and he grabs them until finally the life support is last. Then I jump over. The weapon crates were left near the hole but hidden in the corner.
From there we took the life support and put the main machine in place where gunner began to teach us which wire would connect to which part of the machine. The wires had letters and numbers which represent their function so with him showing us and the AIs noting these down for us to review we connect the wires which would only work after we get a generator or an engine to power it.
When we got to the structural problem Gunner went out and brought back some metal sheets and then showed us how to weld and completely remade the area that was broken while checking the area for hardware damage but there was none.
Then we installed the tanks and it was done.
Gunner: you got lucky to get a life support system so quick. Don’t count on luck every time though, cause it will eventually run out.Noah: I know, we should probably return to work but recently I’ve been exhausted so I may take a few days off.
This was my attempt to buy me some time to take care of necessities in the real world that I had neglected.
He nods as did the two next to me which I don’t doubt were any different.
From here we exit the ship and pull out Gunners “decoration” and all the spare parts for Jessica’s railgun.
When we turn and start walking down the pier heading to the inside of the hangars I noticed a heavily padded person staring at my ship without moving.
Confused by who it was I walked towards him and noticed the long tail that was slowly waving from left to right which meant it was a tosk. Even the helmet had been shaped differently since it seemed to have some horn or spike protrusions from its head.
Noah: Can I help you????: Huh?Noah: You’re staring at my ship so I’m asking if I can help you with anything????: Oh sorry about that. I saw you guys bringing that life support up so I thought you had a ship and wanted to check it out. Was just lost day dreaming of flying something so epic. Just imagine it! In the middle of a bandit raid with everyone shooting you do flips, barrel rolls, fire cannons killing all of them, get hit in the wings and lose control only to gain it after a bit and turn to table on the enemy! *Pant* Just thinking about it is awesome! *Pant* The pilot courses I get here to train my small craft piloting skill is boring. I want to go around space and completely out maneuver all the shitting idiots I can find and get faster and faster ships that will leave everyone in my afterburners! *PANT PANT PANT PANT*
We all take a step back as we watch the Tosk actually get aroused. He was bending over slightly as he held his crotch and rubbing his legs making us wonder if the concept of sanity even pertained to him. Who the fuck gets aroused by flying a ship mid combat.
After a moment he seems to realize what he was doing and straightened up and looks our way as if nothing happened.
???: *Cough cough* My name is Alex and since you are building a ship I can guess you aren’t a pilot or even have a crew so can I be your crew's pilot?Noah: Hell no!Alex: Cool the… WAHH!! SERIOUSLY!!!Lia: Ahahahaha This guy is great! AHAHAHA! Let him join Noah, he is funny!!Noah: Shut up Lia! And how did you connect?Lia: Always been connected since all systems you use pass through me. XDAlex: Interesting AI you have, mines a bit of a strange guy. Not social but makes my life easy since I suck at stuff like selling items and all that.
”So he lets his AI sell his things! How stupid is this guy!” i thought.
Gunner: I really don’t get what kind of person you are but I prefer to keep away from freaks so I will let you guys deal with him.”Noah: I think we should go as well.Jessica: Agreed!Hilda: Yeah!
Like that we simply walked around the weird person, but sadly he started following after us.
We entered the air lock area and me and Gunner removed the helmets and stored them since it was borrowed from the station unlike the headphones.
“Finally! Cleaner more humid air and not some canned air.” I said.
When I looked back the two androids didn’t do much but were giggling. Suddenly we heard a crash and a voice that was at a tone that made you confuse weather it was a girl or a boy.
Looking back I saw the Tosk on the ground. He… wait is it a girl?
What I saw was the a very human like Tosk with somewhat girly face. He wore some padded clothes under the space suit but it ended up being really baggy and hid most of her curves but I was sure that it was a thin frame similar to a girl before puberty or a boy during the same period. The only way to know was the arm’s thickness the pc model on the left arm which was showed a thin arm.
The hair color was a green yellow that went down halfway down the back. Around the eyes were small yellow scales and his eyes were also yellow and had slit pupils. From under her hair came a few horns.
Everyone that was looking were a bit stunned and then a question surfaced. “Is that a boy or girl?”
When Alex finally noticed everyone's eyes he blinked a few times.
“What?” She asked.
“Um… this may seem rude but what sex are you?” I asked.
…
“Pff! AAHAHAHAHAHAH! Th-that’s a good one! AHAHA!! Good joke! Really, that was good! Seriously, it’s really obvious what I am.” He said holding her sides.
No one laughed and just looked at him confused.
“Hahah ehe… come on it’s obvious right?” She said as his smile dropped a bit.
…
No one could reply to this. Well everyone but one. Making four rotating text windows appear on my arm for everyone to see…
THIRD GENDER!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU FOUND A THIRD GENDER LIZARDMAN! OH THIS IS RICH! OH GOD MY CIRCUITS THEY HURT!! PLEASE, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME IT HURTS! I NEED PICTURES, MORE PICTURES I CAN’T LET THIS PASS I HAVE TO MAKE SURE TO REGISTER THIS!!! AHAHAHAHA
Yeah, it was more than enough to agree to what she said. This was without a doubt the infamous third gender but… but.
“You are an existence that should only exist in anime…!” I blurted out by instincts as my mind and mouth said and though in sync.
This instantly made him sulk and he crouched over in the corner mumbling…
“But… but I spend so long making this character… why am I still like this…” This was like a lightning bolt to the players that heard this since it meant she was similar to this in real life.
“O-oi Jessica… I’m not dreaming right?” Hilda asked after pinching her cheeks.
“Don’t think so. I’m very sure I am seeing this as well.” Jessica said.
“You guys are cruel! First you ignore my love for ships then you call me a third gender!!” Alex shouted.
“Ya can’t blame the kids, brat. No one can tell if you're a lad or lass so let's make this easier! I’m leaven.” Gunner said and simply left as easy as that.
“Yeah, I still need to log off, I’ve been here for 4 days straight so I need to do basic needs.” I said.
“No you’re not! Your AI called me a third gender and you denied my existence so you need to take responsibility!” Alex says as she gets up and points at me.
“Not interested in people who can’t decide on a sex.” I tell him.
“NOT LIKE THAT! I will be your pilot and that is fine.” She says.
“Don’t want it! Already got my dad to annoy me and I don’t need to personally add fuel to the fire.” I say.
“I have small craft piloting skill level 12 and Shuttle piloting at level 10.” He says.
I freeze in my step. Those levels were high for the time the game has been running. I know dad has some skills above level 10 already since he probably trained using real life skills he gained but for someone that doesn’t look 25 to have that he must actually be a pilot.
“... Can’t answer now since I don’t have a crew.” I said and start walking not wanting to hear more.
“Then Let’s keep in contact.”
ALREADY HAVE THE CONTACT!!! I WILL MAKE EXTRA SURE TO TELL YOUR FATHER ABOUT THIS GEM OF A REAL LIFE CLICHE!!
“SHUT UP LIA! I’ll call if my dad agrees.” I said glum now.
“AHAHA!! Hey when you do that call me since it seems interesting.” Hilda says nonchantly.
“Jessica, Noah’s dad is the uncle I told you about. The one that has level 15 in martial arts already.
“PLEASE MAKE SURE TO INVITE ME TO THAT CREW!” She shouted while bowing on the ground.
I glare at Jessica who smiled gently.
“I’ll keep in contact. I already arranged to be part of the crew if you make it with uncle.” Jessica says and I could only sigh.
“Whatever. I’m going to rest.” I say shaking my head.
I hear a loud “YES~!!” from behind me as I open the door into the hangars and start on my way to my quarters to get some log off time and eat.
Lisa PoV
I was sitting in one of the tranquil parks of Kelha Station with my Psi master Sir Alphenor. Around me were several dozen other elves. Sir Alphenor only taught elves since he tells us he gets frustrated by teaching people of other race that can’t achieve Exterior Psi manipulation like an elf.
Psi is a boundless energy that is in everything, similar to mana in fantasy games.
If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
The first part of training we all did already and that was to find every last Psi gate and open them to their limits with a technique to keep the pain as minimal as possible. Elves have 128 Psi Gates that cover our body. During the tutorials I was able to unlock 52 through the painful method of unlocking them but gave up due to pain. After learning how to properly do I even improved the quality of the gates by shaving the corners until it was perfectly circular.
For unlocking all your bodies Psionic Gates you get 10 Mentality and Willpower
Finally.
I open my eyes and a smile crosses my face as I call up my Stats and skills.

The Psi capacity of an elf is something to impress for sure. Looking at my skills I think about the starting skills I got but shrug it off since I don’t know if I will ever use them since I will be a healer.
“Lisa, I can feel the flow of Psi from you got smoother. Did you finish opening all your gates?” Sir Alphenor asked me.
“Yes Sir!” I tell him.
“Good, just wait until the others are finished before we can go. If I remember correctly, you took the mechanic course before coming here correct?” He asked.
I was confused by the question and it raised a brow. What did mechanics have with Psi training.
“Yes sir?” I reply still confused.
“Good, just meditate until it’s time for us to leave.” He said and went meditating himself.
I didn’t get what we were going to do so I followed him and started meditating and felt the rush of Psi start flowing through me and ending at the point of origin in my brain.
After a while, one by one, the others were finally able to unlock the remaining Psi gates they had been missing.
“I see everyone is done, good. Now split into four groups depending on the course you all took before coming here.” Sir Alphenor said.
We all were confused but we did as we were told.
We make four groups each with determined by the skill set we choose. I was wondering what we were going to do but my guess would be us getting work in these areas which I wasn’t particularly happy about since I choose Mechanic simply to choose something since I didn’t like any of the choices in particular.
Sir Alphenor called three other elves and told them to lead the fighter, Technician and Pilots groups and led the mechanics group personally.
We went down into the hangars but thinking we would work there we simply followed him.
The place was ear wrenching. I personally created two barriers around my ears to block the sound and anyone that knew barrier psi did something similar to themselves and those that didn’t know.
We went into the depot and then through the factory. We had to use our Psi to float through since we didn’t have magnet boots but wasn’t too much of a strain for us.
Finally we reached a large door and with Sir Alphenor walking to a panel he inserted a password and the door opened. Floating through we follow him to the other side. We were struck with fear seeing so much combat technology ready to make swiss cheese out of anyone unauthorized to pass through.
This new area was also a factory but this time the production we saw as we enter the hangar was for combat weapons, ships and more.
We took an elevator up and continued walking through a few airfields until we reached one filled with robots and mechs. Several of the male elves were nearly drooling after seeing the mecha. can’t blame them because, well…. mechs.
Sir Alphenor asked one of the mechanics there where someone called Colonel was. We were pointed to the most basic looking mechs were a group was working.
Following him we quickly reach the dwarves in that area.
“Sir Colonel!” sir Alphenor called.
Most of us were surprised that he referred to the Dwarf as “sir” but I had seen a few moments when they interacted. That time in the bar was one and I was really shocked when that Ogre was sent flying so easily by both the dwarf and Sir Alphenor.
Later I asked how the dwarf’s punch was so strong and he said first off it was Colonel but didn’t explain more about him but said that the power behind it came from Inner Psi Manipulation which elves can’t use since we open all our Psionic gates which are all over our bodies. For us to use it we need Psionic tech and train in it. That said, elves that do that are a 1 in 1 million since the power of a trained elf can match the power of the dwarfs technology.
“Sir Alphenor, what pleasure do I owe for your visit today?” He asked.
“I have finished basic training for this batch of children. These in specific took the mechanic course so I have come to leave them in your care for further training.” Sir Alphenor said.
“AH! Finally the battery chargers have arrived!! Good, good that Psionic cannon shot has been given me a headache to recharge the power of my armor!” He said nonchalantly making our jaws drop.
“Sir Alphenor! Are you seriously going to leave us with a dwarf that considers us only as a walking battery?!” I asked pleading.
“Of course, psionic technology is powered by psi, where do you think they gather so much energy. It would take them nearly 3 weeks for dwarves to fully charge the advanced models without the help of other races. Elves drop that time to 4 days even with recruits like yourself.” He says.
We were all shocked and it seems so were the dwarf players who were piloting the suits or trying to.
“Aye, everything has a balance somewhere, for our tech it’s the fact that it eats up psi like a bitch! Especially the big guns. That's why I prefer the Axe, such a beautiful weapon that can cause so much damage with so little effort!” Colonel said passionately.
“Yes yes, we know your love for a large axe or bludgeon. Anyway you should teach Inner Psi Manipulation to those who want it. A few are support types instead of combat so I would suggest finding the jobs they want and teaching them how to make the equipment they need for it.” Sir Alphenor suggested.
“Oh, not all are fighters eh? Interesting, kind of rare pure supports. I presume it’s the young lass I spotted you with at the bar a few days ago when that retard called my personal batch toilet water.” He said.
“Yes, it’s this young lady behind me. She specializes in support and healing psi.” He says introducing me personally.
I blushed because I was given preferential treatment.
“Oh! A doctor type, rare indeed! That said she’s a bit scrawny do you even exercise lass? Looks like you can’t even lift 20 kilos without your psi.” He says after giving me a one over.
I looked away since I couldn’t rebut him since my physical proficiency was extremely low.
“Thats a yes, well we will deal with that, some basic physical exercise should be enough to increase your stats. I’ll take them, you can prepare the next group.” He says to Sir Alphenor.
“Yes, there are a large number of elves and dwarf coming here, soon the number will be enough for terraforming projects.” He said.
Everyone gets interested by what they heard but the talk ended at that moment since Sir Alphenor floated into the air.
“I shall take my leave then.” He says and left without a second look.
“Alright, now then, raise your hand if you actually took the time to train your mechanic’s skill?” Colonel asked.
There were three or four that rose their hands.
“Those that did find Rachet and he will put you in some working function to fit your skill. the rest of you come with me. We will put you to train a bit.” He said then turned to those in the robot's.
“De rest of you keep opening the Tech gates like you did with your gloves!” He shouted and waved for us to follow.
We walked over to a corner with a lot of broken parts and several shelves filled with lots of new components.
“First job, fix this pile of parts, ONE! BY! ONE! Understood.” He said emphasizing one by one.
I kind of wondered about that but agreed.
I took one of the parts in hand and try to dismantle the part. When doing it by hand didn’t work I used psi which worked wonders.
I removed one part at a time and put it down and when I finally found a broken part I replaced it in pile I was making for the part.
I changed five parts and then turned to the pile and grabbed the first part and froze.
…
“Damn it!” I said.
I left the part completely dismantled in a random pile without copying the part.
“Max, please tell me you actually copied down the process I dismantled that part?” I wryly asked my AI.
Nope. To bored to do that but I took a pic of what it was like when you started.
He makes it appear and I could only sigh. Why and how did I get such a lazy AI. It all went wrong when he asked for me to connect an internet cable to the capsule. From that he watched so much Anime and manga and become like a shut in and a complete lazy ass that does everything half assed.
I could almost cry at having such a useless AI if it wasn’t for the fact that he was too useful if I bribe him with something he might like. When he became like this I had obviously removed the cable so now I bribe him with manga and anime so he can work.
“I’ll upload the last 2 updated episodes of O** P**** *** if you show me step by step how it was dismantled.” I said bribing.
SERIOUSLY! AH RIGHT!!! Been pumped for those episodes for so fucking long!!!
The hologram quickly came apart one by one and stayed floating over my wrist.
I lifted the pile of parts and arranged everything like that. He even told me which were wrong.
At least I still have some 20 different anime he was obsessed with. If I can get him attached to light novels now I will have a new arsenal of things to use against him.
Still with the part rebuilt I leave it in the repaired pile and get another one and already learning from my mistakes I keep it in the air and start this dismantling there since it’s easy to follow.
It was after my fourth part that I heard someone complain by how slow it was.
They grabbed two damaged parts and started to dismantle it with his psi and repair it.
I looked and saw some damaged parts but he didn’t notice all of them and rebuilt it like that and placed it in his repaired pile.
“So that’s why, huh.” I mutter and nod.
Grabbing the next one I repair and end up getting a level in mechanics and gained the dismantling skill and Parts Repair repair skill.
After a while all the parts were repaired, at least for those who weren’t impatient.
The dwarf came back and checked all the parts and it goes without saying that the tongue lashing all the impatient elves got was a very scary thing. Imagine an army sergeant but 100 times worse in a much more compact size but with a much heavier fist.
It felt like his yelling was worse than the noise in the factory. The tongue lashing even came to us who did it correctly because he wanted to make sure the lesson was taught that quality is better than quantity when you work with high level tech.
When he was done he told us it was fine and left the damaged parts for us to repair a different time.
We were free to look for anyone to teach us since we had gained a few levels in skill through this.
Since I didn’t really know what to do I went to the more basic level robot's looking for something to do and found Mr. Roktar there.
“Oh Lisa! Hello, how are things?” He asked as he notices me.
“Alright, finished psi training or at least the basics.” I say.
“I see, well I had my basics done before I even started. The skills just rose rapidly to accompany my real skills.” he said proudly.
“So what are you here for?” I asked him.
“Ah yes, I was given the opportunity to join the guards corps of the station for as long as I stay in the station. It gives a good income so I took it and came to check on my son who is one of these fighters.” He replied.
“Your son, I think you mentioned something about making a crew with him, right?” I asked.
“Yep, though I went to check requirements for an official crew. You need a 6 people at least. I got a call saying he met some people that wanted to make a crew with him so we total 5 at the moment.” He says.
“Hmm, I would have to meet them but if I think they are nice enough I may be willing to be the last member.” I tell him.
“What's this about a crew and who are you giant?” Colonel suddenly appears and asks.
“I’m looking for my son Noah, wanted to talk about it since we are forming a crew and are gathering money already to start repairing the husk of a shuttle I found.” He says.
“Already! Would've expected someone to buy the first ships but to rebuild one is a nice thing. Might be a nice chance to teach shipbuilding to newbies that never saw it.” He mutters.
“This is our ship so it’s our problem.” Roktar says.
“Aye but amateurs like you can’t build a complete ship yourselves. I gotta check with Gunner to see if we can’t teach Noah shipbuildings ins and outs. Maybe even help out to install hard stuff.” Colonel says.
“Well I don’t mind if it’s like that.” Roktar said.
“Also got to remind him to make his personal batch of some strong beer for when we finally finish building the ship.” Colonel muttered.
“Huh!” I exclaimed.
“Oh sorry, did I say that outloud, don’t mind it, just dwarf tradition!” He says with a laugh.
“So the owner of the ship makes a personal batch of beer? Then it's best you leave that with me, I brew things much better since he doesn’t like the taste of hard liquor. Kind of my fault though.” Roktar said.
“Bah! What dwarf doesn’t like a good beer! Still, since you're his dad it will work fine.” Colonel said.
“Just need the brewery machines which I guess you have some of, right?” He asked.
”I’m seriously lost right now? When did the talk of making a crew turn into who makes beer for a celebration that may take months before its ready.” I thought.
Lost in the middle of the strange conversation I just sigh and looked around for a senior elf mechanic and asked for instructions on what I could do and he showed me some tips on being more efficient with my psi when making equipment granting me a level in Exterior Psi manipulation.
