“well I am going to grab some snacks, just continue without me,” says jay to his friends as he presses the mute button on the voice chat app he and his friends use.

Jay stands up from his black colored gaming chair in front of his desk and stretches his arms a bit. “I should clean tomorrow,” he says as he grabs some of the old bags of chips and cans of cola from under his table.

“Hello Jay” Martha, Jay’s mother says in response to hearing him coming down the creaking stairs.

“hi, mom. What are you watching?”

“Oh this is a documentary about environmental changes, did you know that the bio-industry in one of the leading causes of environmental change?”

“yea my teacher forced me to read an article about that some time ago, anyways have fun watching your documentary,” Jay says as he promptly throws all the junk in the trash and grabs some wine gums from the drawer.

“What have you been doing,” Martha asks him.

“oh, nothing special just playing games with my Luke, Alex, and Nathan.”

“well have fun and put on your headphone because I’m planning to go to sleep after this is finished”

“sure” Jay responds while going upstairs again

The next day

“dammit allergies,” Jay says as he wakes up with a face that feels like it’s blown up.

Jay rolls over and grabs the package full of pills on his nightstand, takes a pill out of it, and swallows it before putting the package back and standing up and seeing the open window.

“well that explains it, but I was sure I closed it… Well guess not”

“Anything important today,” Jay asks himself while grabbing his phone and looking at his schedule for today. “ah nothing, that’s nice” then Jay quickly puts on some clothes and walks downstairs to make breakfast. “Huh guess mom is working,” he says noticing that Martha is not there

Walking towards the fridge Jay says “What should I take? Currant buns, chocolate sprinkles or bacon and eggs…” and after a moment of intense pondering he says “bacon and eggs it is.”

Jay grabs a baking pan and throws some oil in it before cooking some bacon and then eggs.

“bacon and *scrambled* eggs then,” he says as the eggs stick to the pan and break.

Jay goes to sit on the couch whilst turning on the television and zapping to the news channel.

A few minutes later, Jay finished his food and has put it in the dishwasher and he hasn’t got any reaction from any of his friends.

“guess they’re still sleeping because if it really where them their moms would have called me already asking me if they were here,” Jay says to himself as he walking upstairs again, planning to play some games, but the moment that he sets his foot on the topmost step the world around him changes and Jay suddenly finds himself in a different room.

Jay looks around being disorientated by the sudden change of location. “The hell?”
