Tookami stepped onto the uneven planks of the dock, the creaking of the ship settling behind him. The ruins of Oracleuum loomed ahead, a silhouette against the darkening sky. The air was thick with an otherworldly aura, and the distant sounds of orcish and goblin chatter reached his ears.
Beside him, Captain Boojie nodded, his weathered face expressing a mix of respect and uncertainty. "Good luck, Tookami. If you ever find yourself in need, you know where to find me. I'll be at the docks for the rest of the day, about 10 hours or so."
Tookami acknowledged the captain's words with a nod, expressing gratitude for the alliance they had forged during their perilous journey through the Tempest Sea. As Boojie turned to walk back to the ship, Tookami turned his gaze toward the ruins.
The path ahead was dimly lit by the faint glow of torches and the occasional flicker of magical lights. As Tookami traversed the narrow, winding streets, the scent of burning incense and the rhythmic beat of distant drums filled the air.
Orcs and goblins moved about, their eyes lingering on the unfamiliar figure in their midst. Some regarded him with curiosity, others with suspicion. Despite the initial tension, Tookami pressed on, guided by the distant silhouette of the Ruins of Oracleuum.
The ruins were a testament to a history marked by conflict and resilience. Broken structures stood as reminders of a time long past, and the shadows seemed to dance with the whispers of ancient tales. The inhabitants, predominantly orcs and goblins, moved through the ruins with a sense of purpose.
Tookami's keen senses picked up on snippets of conversation. Orcish warriors discussed recent battles, while goblins engaged in lively debates about arcane artifacts. The air was charged with a mixture of anticipation and caution.
As he approached what seemed to be a central plaza, a towering structure caught his eye. It stood as a solitary sentinel among the ruins—a massive, weathered statue depicting an orcish warlock wielding a staff adorned with swirling energies.
Tookami couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to the statue. Perhaps this place held the key to finding Krothu, the orcish warlock he sought. With a deep breath, he continued his exploration of the Ruins of Oracleuum, navigating the intricate web of alleyways and courtyards that concealed the mysteries of this ancient orcish stronghold.
After some time of no good findings, and a little hour long exploration of Orcaleuum, Tookami brought his attention back to the statue that was clearly one made for Krothu, and he approached the large dark oak door. He rang the door’s bell that hung from the frame of the door, and after a few moments, two large peasant appearing orcs unlocked the hatch, the door opened.
In orcish fashion and language, they simply say “What do you need?” and to Tookami’s response, he would ask for Krothu’s whereabouts. The reply, a simple one, the door slams shut in Tookami’s face, giving him a hint of impatience.
Tookami stood there for a moment, the door now firmly closed before him. He could hear muffled conversation on the other side, the deep voices of the orc guards exchanging words in their guttural tongue. It seemed his request had not been well received.
Determined, Tookami knocked on the door again, this time with a firmer hand. The door swung open, revealing the same imposing orc peasants, their expressions unyielding.
"I seek an audience with Krothu," Tookami reiterated, his tone assertive. The orcs exchanged glances, and after a moment of silent communication, one of them grunted and gestured for Tookami to follow.
The interior of the tower was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of incense and the soft glow of enchanted orbs casting an ethereal light. The walls were adorned with orcish symbols and relics, each telling a story of the tower's history.
Tookami was led through winding corridors and up a spiraling staircase, the air growing heavier with each step. Finally, they reached a grand door adorned with intricate carvings. The orc guards opened it with a solemn ceremony, revealing a spacious chamber within.
Seated at a large wooden desk cluttered with parchment and arcane trinkets was Krothu, the orcish warlock. His eyes, sharp and piercing, met Tookami's as he looked up from his work.
"Tookami," Krothu spoke, his voice resonating with authority. "What brings my old friendxus to the Ruins of Oracleuum?"
Tookami took a moment to gauge Krothu's reaction. There was a sense of recognition in the orc's eyes, but also a guarded wariness. "Krothu, my old friend, it's been a long time. I come seeking your counsel and, perhaps, your aid. You see, I am now a king of an otherworldly planet called Nexus."

Krothu leaned back in his chair, his gaze unwavering. "Times have changed, Tookami. The Ruins of Oracleuum are not what they used to be. What makes you think I would offer my aid to the King of Nexus?"
Tookami sighed, realizing that the passage of time had indeed reshaped the world and its alliances. He needed to find the right words, to bridge the gap that had widened between them. "I seek allies in the impending challenges that face Nexus. Our realms are intertwined, and I believe together we can face what's coming."
Krothu remained silent, his eyes studying Tookami with a mix of skepticism and curiosity. The room seemed to hang in the balance, the weight of their shared history and the uncertainties of the present converging in that moment.
Tookami leaned forward, his eyes earnest as he spoke. "In Evermore, I faced a formidable foe – beings that sought to conquer and subjugate realms. I repelled them, but I know that their hunger for conquest is insatiable. They may come again, and when they do, Nexus needs to stand united."
Krothu listened intently, his orcish features showing a mix of contemplation and a trace of a familiar fire. "And what do you seek from the orcs of Oracleuum?" he asked, his tone measured.
"To forge an alliance," Tookami replied. "I want the strength of the orcs to stand with Nexus. Your people, with their resilience and warrior spirit, would be invaluable allies. I aim to create a realm where races coexist, where each contributes to the strength of the whole."
Krothu drummed his fingers on the desk, a thoughtful expression on his face. "The Ruins of Oracleuum have changed, Tookami. The orcs here have found a semblance of peace. Convincing them to leave that peace for the uncertainties of Nexus won't be easy."
Tookami nodded, acknowledging the challenges ahead. "I understand the importance of peace. But sometimes, it's the peace we forge together that is the strongest. Nexus is a realm of diversity, and the orcs could find a new home, a new purpose."
Krothu's gaze remained fixed on Tookami for a moment, and then he sighed. "I'll consider your proposal, Tookami. But know this, my allegiance lies with the orcs of Oracleuum. Their well-being is my priority."
Tookami respected Krothu's dedication to his people. "I appreciate your consideration. If you decide to join our cause, Nexus will welcome the orcs with open arms."
With that, Tookami took his leave, escorted back through the corridors of the tower. The orc guards watched him with a vigilance that spoke of their protective nature. As he stepped towards the door, a forced swing of his leg made him do a quick turn around, looking at Krothu once again.
“Do you happen to maybe have any orc and goblin prisoners that you wish to get rid of?” Tookami asked authoritatively.
“Perhaps, I know of some. If you want to bind them and take them to Nexus, feel free, they’re yours. You have helped me in the past, so I suppose a few scum bodies can be the least of what I can offer you.” Krothu, with a measured nod, acknowledged Tookami's unexpected request. "Follow me," he said, leading Tookami through the winding halls of the tower. The air within Oracleuum was thick with a mix of ancient stone and the lively energy of orcish life.
As they approached the chambers, Krothu gestured toward the heavy wooden door. "Here they are," he said. "Ten orcs and six goblins. They were sentenced to execution for various crimes against our people. If you can offer them a chance at redemption or a new purpose, then so be it."
Tookami nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. He pushed the door open, revealing a dimly lit chamber with barred cells. The orcs and goblins inside looked up, their eyes a mix of defiance and resignation.
"You are being offered a chance for a new life," Tookami announced, addressing the prisoners. "I am Tookami, King of Nexus. If you swear allegiance to Nexus and vow to serve in its defense, your lives will be spared. Consider this an opportunity for redemption."
Some of the orcs exchanged glances, while others stared at Tookami with skepticism. The goblins huddled together, their small forms tense.
Krothu observed the scene, waiting for their responses. It was a moment hanging in the balance, the fate of these prisoners now intertwined with the uncertain path of alliance between Nexus and Oracleuum.
After growing impatient, Tookami sighs and looks the orcs and goblins in the eyes, and mutters “Maybe this will change your mind.”
As Tookami's form shifted into a more intimidating demonic visage, a hushed silence fell upon the prisoners. The orcs and goblins, confronted with the otherworldly transformation, gasped and stepped back in awe and fear.
"Consider this a glimpse of the power that stands with Nexus," Tookami proclaimed, his voice carrying an otherworldly resonance. "Now, swear your allegiance, and a new life awaits you."
The prisoners, now thoroughly convinced of Tookami's might, quickly nodded in agreement. Krothu, witnessing the display, offered a nod of approval. As the prisoners voiced their allegiance, Tookami returned to his humanoid form, the eerie transformation receding.
Satisfied, Tookami turned to Krothu and extended his hand. "Our pact is sealed," he declared. "May our realms find strength in unity."
Krothu grasped Tookami's hand firmly, sealing the agreement between Nexus and Oracleuum. "May this alliance bring prosperity and protection to our lands," Krothu replied.
With the agreement settled, Tookami began the intricate spell of realm hopping. The familiar sensation of cosmic energies enveloped him, and in a blink, he reappeared in the heart of Nexus. Waiting for him were his friends, along with the newly acquired orcs and goblins, now willing to contribute their strength to the diverse tapestry of Nexus. The reunion marked the beginning of a new chapter, where the alliance between realms promised both challenges and opportunities for the united forces of Nexus.
