They had arrived, only took a month, luckily for me Leech Wood was one of the final stops so I had only been here for about a week. Either way we had arrived at the nearest military base, it was known as the Bone Field due to it's history where a B tier dungeon break had happened, it resulted in multiple towns and villages being destroyed resulting in around 30'000 thousand civilian deaths and around 4000 Military personnel lost when the army arrived to suppress the dungeon. Besides that lovely little piece of history I hadn't been able to extract much more from any of the Military personnel that were too protect the carriages.
Even when I got them to talk they seemed very nervous when speaking about this place, and I'm sure that's a great sign. Either way I couldn't choose where I was to be assigned so it didn't really matter what I thought. At the moment they had arrived near the front gate. The place looked first incredibly large, it was surrounded by massive stone walls reaching maybe around 60 feet high. You would expect this place to be a city and not a military outpost. After they were escorted inside they were brought to a large empty space to the right of the large iron gate before one of the escorts walked up to the back of the carriage and started eyeing them before pointing at the man next me. "You first, stay close, don't want you wandering off, follow me." With that done me and the few others started what would apparently be a fair wait.
----------
1 hour later
----------
I gazed up at the sky like I had been doing for maybe an hour. Another guard rounded the corner around the carriage next to me. I felt my heart beat faster and faster as he got closer. Unfortunately he walked up to the carriage next to me, ah, is this what it was like for the Inn staff to graze your table then turn away and head over to another, guess I'm not done yet.
----------
After maybe another 10 minutes another guard rounded the corner, and this time I was not to feel my heart hit the floor. "Come with me" The guard spoke with a gruff tone that contained no anger but perhaps an extreme amount of "when the fuck will this end.", I think I can understand that. I was lead out of the little encampment of carriages and was brought to the main "road", I was sure with walls like these they could afford a good road but it was a dirt path, probably more a conditioning then a we can't afford it way. After a nice not so quiet 5 minute walk I had been brought to one of the only buildings here. Most of it was large tents that I guess made sense. If they had soldiers who couldn't take a little bit of low quality sleeping conditions it wouldn't turn out too good. Either way the building I had been brought to was quite small, and soon I was brought inside.
The first thing to note was he already knew what was to happen here the moment I stepped in, in front of me a women sat at a simple wooden chair with a white glowing orb placed on a stand in the middle of a wooden table. He didn't need to be told what too do since it was pretty easy to understand what they wanted. I walked up to the chair opposite of her and pulled it out before taking a seat, and behind me my escort exited quickly, overall she stood out a fair bit with 1 long scar that snaked up from below her shirt all the way half up her neck, she was taller than me than as well so she was slightly higher than me in the chair, her hair was a nice dark that he thought looked good with her green eyes. She examined him for a moment before she spoke with a commanding tone. " Place your hand on the Orb, once you do you will not be able to lie for the next 30 minutes, so don't try." Naturally I did as asked and once I placed my hand on it I didn't feel different, but I guess that was all I needed to do as she pulled a piece of parchment out of what I assumed was her inventory, along with it she also pulled out an ink well and a quill, she sat silently sat forward and looked me in the eye.

"Name?"
----------
What ensued was a string of simple questions as she filled in the parchment on the table, after maybe 1 minute she had finished and leaned back in her chair.
"Take a look and tell me if anything is wrong, can you read by the way?" I paused for a moment "Yes, I can" She paused slightly with a slight smile. "Good." I gave it a quick skim over but decided to really make sure and skim again.

She leaned forward and I slid it back over to the table before laying it out in front of her. "alright one last question, why do you want to join?" She looked him sharply in the eyes. I found myself a little stumped, the truth orb meant I couldn't lie, I couldn't say "I wanted to get a free class" that would paint me in a very bad light. However it didn't seem to matter as I felt a pressure in his head like something invading his brain. It was definitely the Truth Orb, it seemed that was a lie as well, and it was doing it's job, looking for the truth. Without notice the pressure faded instantly and words rolled out of his mouth. "Because it feels right." I felt a little stunned, did I really mean that? That made no sense and yet it felt wholly truthful. My answer seemed to surprise her as well, "That's one of the more interesting reasons to join I've heard." She leaned forward a bit before rolling the parchment and binding it, I'm certain that would smudge the Ink but I assumed it would be fine considering she did it in the first place, never know, maybe it's magic ink that can't smudge.
She stood up walked over to the door. "Follow me, It's time to Awaken you, or at least try." She brought him outside where she stood for second before looking over the camp, she seemed a little zoned out so I figured I should snap her out of it. "Lead the way." That quickly gathered her attention before leading me down the path and after a minute or 2 of walking we stopped in front of another building. "I'll give you the rundown, you will awaken here if your incredibly lucky you will get your own class, if you don't, you will be assessed to what class would fit your build the best, you seem fairly strong but with lacking knowledge they won't grant you a mage class, probably a warrior or a ranger with your archery experience." With that said she opened the door revealing a much more comfortable space with much better furniture, a nice chair that sat across a fairly strong looking man with an Alien like perfection to his skin, ah, an Elf, the incarnation of perfect skin, how incredibly unsettling. What really matter's though was a basin filled with a shimmering liquid sat still between both the chairs
