Kauri stood in front of Dolen and Anushna, he was stuck in quite a scuffle. There were not many options he had, he couldn't just run away carrying for both Anushna and Dolen was too much for him, he could not just take one at a time as they could hurt the other one, going to ask for someone's help would lead to the same conclusion. The only thing he could do was fight, but his weapon was not with him, so he started his assault.

The bandits started to run towards them, but in just a moment before they could realize what was happening, he was in front of them, and before they could react, he dealt a full-force punch to the bandit leader's face.

The leader even flinched seeing this, everybody was shocked at how fast this boy was. But the punch was much less impactful.

"Wait, I didn't feel a thing", exclaimed the leader in surprise.

Kauri was shocked too, he knew he was quite weak in hand to hand but this was outlandish.

"Let me show you what a good punch looks like", and with that, the bandit leader punched Kauri in his stomach and unlike Kauri's punch, it dealt damage, lot of it. It made him go flying up in the air, lost in the canopy for a second. Then, he fell near his friends.

"Are you okay!!?", asked the princess in a worried tone.

"Yeah", that was a lie, he was not as strong or sturdy as Idris, who could take multiple hits from a dragon but he still got up. " only if I had my sword then I could easily take these men down", he thought to himself.

"Come on, is that all you got? Would this be the show you be putting in front of a lady, talk about lame", insulted the leader.

"Don't worry, it was nothing", lied Kauri.

Once again, he went on the offensive. Before doing so, he whispered something to both Dolen and Anushna. He faced the bandits once more, but this time they wouldn't catch him off guard. They couldn't even lay a finger on him; he was too quick for them."You bastard!!", shouted the leader.

But that man was smart too, he threw his axe towards Dolen and Anushna, who had stood up and were trying to run away from there, but before it would touch them it was stopped by Kauri, not his hand was bloody and he had a vertical deep cut on his left cheek.

At that moment, that man got a hold of Kauri's hand, this time kauri couldn't run or dodge.

But at that moment the princess started running towards the bandits, in her mind she was thinking of Kauri's plan, he had told them that while he was fighting Kauri they must run away and get him a sword, any sword and after that, they could leave everything on him. Dolen was too much of a coward to do that, but she could. She was at that moment able to see a dagger that one of those bandits was holding.

That bandit tried to get a hold of her, but to his dismay princess was not a shrimp, she may not be able to take down a dragon but she could hold her own in front of this man. He dodged and slapped the man hard and then went for the dagger, she took it and threw it towards Kauri.

"Catch it kauri", she shouted.

However, she did not have time to enjoy it as the man punched her, causing her to fall. Another man, angered by this action, tried to attack her, but she was saved by Dolen. While not a strong fighter, he was able to hold his own for a moment. Unfortunately, it was not enough, and both of them ended up on the ground again.

"I just had enough of you", shouted a man and swung his axe towards them, he was able to do a full range of motion but both of them were alright.

"How", he shouted and then he looked at his arm, the palm was missing and so was the axe.

He screamed in agony as all of them looked for who had done it.

"Thanks for that Anushna, but you know you shouldn't have put yourself in that situation. Leave the rest to me", said Kauri setting both his companions near the tree as blood dripped down the dagger he was holding.

"What you but you were held my boss", they shouted and when they looked towards where their boss stood, there was only a heap of blood and flesh.

How could someone do something so gruesome so quickly and why didn't their boss scream or anything? But one thing that did was make them angry, they were ready for an act of revenge.

"You will pay for this", with that they started running towards him, with axes, blades and whatever they had, maybe with the numbers they could kill him. Seeing this Kauri closed his jacket up," I don't want to dirty my white t-shirt", he proclaimed.

And in a split second, he had severed the arm with which they were holding their weapons. Before they could react they were on the ground, as their tendons were severed.

That moment when Anushna saw what kind of world Kauri was from, he stood there breathing a bit heavily and blood slowly dripped from his hair, white hair soaked red by the blood. But in his eyes were trying so hard to not show any emotions, she would see a glimpse of sorrow and guilt, right now he had killed ten men, maybe evil she knew what kind of evil things, killing, kidnapping they did. But for him, he had just killed ten men, nothing else.

And in that moment she felt pity for the man, she wanted him to be happy and to smile, to talk more, more with her.

The walk towards the palace started very quietly, they stopped near a stream of water, so he could clean himself and then, they started again.

"So Dolen, tell me about the other world, you are from?", asked Anushna.

"Wait, you believe me", Dolen with his eyes sparkling.

"You don't have to-", said Kauri." yes!!", interrupted Anushna.

"Finally!", cried Dolen," oh right this is not the first time this thing has happened, people of my world called it isekai. Japan is the country, I am from, it was at least 2000 years advance from this world. We had cities filled with buildings taller than the palace and made machines that could help us fly and even go to the moon."

"Oh was it so", said the princess, she knew he was delusional but of this high grade she could have never thought.

"You don't have to hear his weird talk princess, just forget it", Kauri said," he once even tried to name my sword Katana or something"

"Cause it is a Katana, it is not any usual long sword so what did you think it was?", Asked Dolen.

After thinking for a moment, he answered," A weird curved one-sided long sword".

That made Dolen scratch his head and scream making Anushna laugh.

In a moment, they were at the palace, and Dolen went back to the inn, he was staying at.

During the walk," Hey thanks for that", said Kauri.

"What"

"You know during the walk, you were trying to help me get over what I did"

The princess gave off a smile and "Yes of course."

" you have been so helpful to me till now, I don't know how to pay you back, princ-" he was saying but suddenly Anushna placed a finger on his lips.

"No more princess", said she," we are friends now, call me anushna from now on, that is the payback I want."

He was flustered by that but he got himself together," Right then", he answered.

But Princess was looking at him with anticipation, her eyes straight up staring at his soul and that made him break.

"Right then, Anushna!".

That made her give off a big smile, her eyes lighting up with joy. "Much better," she answered, her voice filled with glee as she turned and ran away towards her room, her laughter echoing in the hallway. It was a great moment, one that filled the air with warmth and happiness, leaving a lingering sense of joy in Kauri's mind long after she had disappeared from view.
