Chapter 1 – Rebirth
Warm…. the being tried to move but could only shift slightly in the warm liquid that encased it. Feeling tired it let exhaustion take over.
Waking up once more the being tried to remember what it was, pain came with trying to concentrate but it was rewarded with a name Sarah. Happy with the accomplishment the being “Sarah” let the pain fade into blackness.
Sarah didn’t know how many times it had awoken, but each time it felt it had grown slightly. Sometimes it would be able to kick at the walls of its warm safe feeling environment, other times it would just listen to the sounds from outside the place it was. Its favorite sound was a soft humming that seemed to come from the environment itself, it reminded Sarah of something she couldn’t place until hearing it while concentrating, a new world popped into Sarah’s mind of what it was called, Singing.
When the being which thought of itself as a Sarah awoke for the unknowth time it felt something odd, a pull of some sorts. Trying to figure it out, Sarah realized that the warm liquid had decreased and that its body was being pulled downward toward a small hole.
Pain, light, cold assaulted Sarah as she was ripped out of her safe warm fluid sphere. Sarah screamed at the attack until she was wrapped in something warm. Whatever had pulled and wrapped her made some noise, wait no words, Sarah thought as the new word popped into her head. She was then passed to something which seemed to have a more delicate hold. Sarah’s holder felt safe like her previous location and when it said some words Sarah realized that it, the singer. Feeling tired and safe in the singer’s hold Sarah let sleep take over.

It had been three months since Sarah had been reborn. Every time Sarah woke up she remembered more about herself or who she was rather than is. The first month she recalled the basics and general knowledge of her past life, the second month she spent remembering her past life’s memories, and by the third month she recalled what had happened after she had died.
In all that time Sarah had gained no knowledge about her new life since it had been mainly, wake up with bad to little senses, cry for food, eat, poop or pee in her diaper, cry to be changed, then sleep which was when she recalled her past life and after life experiences.
With new found determination of a three month old Sarah tried to stay awake as long as she could to learn about her new life since she succeeded in learning all she could from her last one. Looking around her position in the wooden crib, Sarah studied her room. The walls were stone rather than plaster and the only light source was the window. No lamps or light bulbs, or any other signs of technology. There was a table in the corner opposite of the cradle which had a chair up against it but that was all. Feeling depressed at the lack of discovery Sarah let her exhaustion take over.
Next time Sarah woke, she spotted a beautiful woman looking warmly at her. The woman had long golden hair covering slightly pointed ears, a heart shaped face featuring kind purple eyes, and a smile showing tender love as she looked down at her. Feeling loved for the first time in 15 years Sarah couldn’t help but start crying. The woman panicked and quickly picked Sarah up, murmuring in reassuring tones, and rocking Sarah back and forth. Unfortunately, seeing this woman care so much caused Sarah to cry even harder.

A crash echoed in the room as a man slammed the door open. He had curly brown hair and bright green eyes. His ears were slightly pointed like his wife’s. His shirt failed to hide his toned muscles as he quickly went beside his wife and child. Seeing his wife panicking and child brawling he tried to make funny faces in order to stop the crying. Sarah knew that she should stop crying but with each act of love her parents did she couldn’t stop the overflowing emotions.
Next a young boy around 7 years of age came into the room. He had a mess of golden hair and emerald green eyes, his ears were slightly pointed like his parents. Seeing the comical situation he could only sigh. Walking over to his sibling he plucked her from his mother’s arms and left the room leaving his parents stunned.
Sarah, being gently held in within, who she assumed was her brother’s, arms gradually calmed down. Turning her head slightly she realized he had taken her outside into a garden. It was a beautiful location filled with all sorts of plants, colors ranging from green to bright purple and size from a flower to a tree. In the presence of her quiet brother, beautiful garden, and tired body, Sarah welcomed sleep’s gentle hold.
After more three months and around six months of age Sarah had grasped some of the language and was able to learn slightly about her new family from the conversations they had around her.
1. Sarah was now Yue Cravaler, her mother was Grace Cravaler, father was Brian Cravaler, and lastly her brother was Kevin Cravaler.
2. Yue and her family were NOT human, nor was this Earth. The planet was called Galarain and her family was an offshoot race of elves. The average lifespan of a normal life of a Salran(the species) was around 200 years rather than the 800 year lifespan of an elf. Besides lifespan and appearance though, the Salran species were the same as humans and so their villages were most often found in human countries.
3. Although we were not nobles I do believe we were wealthy enough. We lived in a large stone house, and my family wore good but not fancy clothing.
4. The world seemed to be in a middle age era. The few times my mother took me around the village showed me this. Almost everyone in the village seemed to be what you would describe as a medieval commoner but I did see a small castle which I found out is where our village’s lord lived.
5. I have no clue what my family does for a living. My mother seems to be a stay at home mother and I only see my father at meals or short periods randomly throughout the day. I assume he is the bread winner of the family.
