THE MONTH OF STRONG HEAT(JULY), 4TH DAY, YEAR 506 OF THE IMPERIAL CALENDAR.
It had been a week since the first day of school. Weirdly enough, there were still five school days in a week .
All we had been doing in these several classes were taking basic arithmetic, practicing writing the demonic languages alphabet, practice of proper speech, and basic history.
There were only 5 hours of school, since they gave a whole hour for lunch period.
I actually enjoyed coming to school, and having childish conversations with Larine. Can you imagine it, someone with a 20-year-old mind spending their time with a 7 and 12 year old. I had been 15 when I first came here, and yet here I am 5 years later still able to have childish conversations.
I’ve also decided the next chance I get, I am going to ask Dralden if I can invite Larine to the palace, because I haven’t had a sleepover with a friend in the longest time.
I was now leaving from my last class of the day with Wilheim. Normally, I would leave to my carriage, but today is the day that new students are to have their affinities checked if they did not already know their magical affinities.
Neither Wilheim nor I knew our affinities so we were required to go and find out, since later in the year, we would begin to practice magic.
I slithered ahead of Wilheim by a few feet. As I was coming around a corner, I bumped into someone.
I inadvertantly apologized and looked back up to the surprisingly tall person. He wore scholarly robes, but gave off a vibe of bloodlust and anger. He had hooves instead of feet, and two horns curving outside of his head, and to top it all off, had a bull ring.
He stopped for a moment before putting an angry expression on his face.
“Can’t you watch where you’re going!? Damn women…” he said before cranking his arm back, preparing to hit me.
Luckily, Wilheim intercepted and caught the brutal blow heading towards me.
“I’m sorry, but I cannot allow you to do that” said Wilheim as he held onto the guy’s fist.
“Why, you little!” he said before pulling his other arm back.
He never got the chance to swing, because Wilheim pulled with all of his might, and flipped the guy over.
While the man was confusedly still down, I recovered from the shock.
He just tried to hit me. Hit. ME.
Suddenly my mind reverted back to that of an adult, as I glared at him and scrunched my face.
“Did...DID YOU JUST TRY AND HIT ME?! INCONCEIVABLE!” I said exploding with anger.
I hated abusive men, and I hate men that abuse women that are weak or do it like like it’s nothing. The first thing that was going to change around here in this empire was how women were treated. Even if it took 100 years.
“DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU JUST TRIED TO HIT? I AM DEMON EMPRESS SIAMARA LE MARIA DAWSTEN, BITCH! I SHOULD HAVE YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY DISGRACEFULLY EXECUTED!” I yelled still fuming with anger.
This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.
There had been bystanders already around when the even the whole fiasco had begun. I turned and looked at them, taking my anger out on them too.
“I SHOULD HAVE ALL OF YOU COWARDS EXECUTED AS WELL, JUST FOR STANDING BY AND DOING NOTHING. YOU WOULD LET A FELLOW STUDENT GET BEATEN UP, AND TURN A BLIND EYE?! ESPECIALLY A GIRL?!”
They all looked down shamefully and clenched their fists. Before I could say anymore, Wilheim stepped in and grabbed my shoulders.
“My lady, please calm down, you need not be concerned about them. I’ll have them dealt with accordingly; we must hurry so that we aren’t late for our Affinity Search.”
I slowly took in deep breaths, and calmed down. I turned away from everyone and began returning en route for my destination. Wilheim decidedly followed behind me.
There were no words from any of them. They knew that the gossip would spread eventually, and disgrace many minor noble and merchant families.
I continued down the hall without a second glance.

I was in a foul mood as I left for the academy library.
Once Wilheim and I arrived, we were greeted nervously but politely by the librarian assistants.
We entered deep into the heart of the surprisingly large library. There we found the head librarian at a table, with a transparent orb. The head librarian was an old man who was clothed in green and blue robes. The librarian wore a hood to keep his face covered, revealing only his short white beard.
“Welcome, Your Grace, how is your day?” he asked politely.
“Terrible actually, I do apologize if some students stop appearing to the library” I said jokingly with a dark look on my face.
He looked taken back, before continuing.
“I hope your day gets better, Your Grace. Now, to find your affinity, I will have you place your hands upon this orb here, which will reveal your magic affinities.”
“Wilheim, you can do it first” I say to him casually.
“Ok My Lady.”
“Wilheim, you know you don’t always have to respond with “My Lady”, it’s fine to just say ok.”
“As you-...Ok” he replied, catching himself.
He walked up to the orb and placed his hand upon it, and waits for a few moments, before light blue particles begin swimming around the inside the orb.
“Ah, yes, you have the magic affinity of Ice young one” says the head librarian.
Wilheim removed his hand from the globe and stepped back, and appeared to quietly read to himself. While he was occupied in his thoughts, I made my way to the table and place my tiny hand upon the orb. The orb then began to fill up with a purple haze, along with bluish sparkles.
“Oh my…” said the head librarian softly.
“Hmm? What’s wrong sir?” I replied curiously.
“It is rare to see someone with two affinities, and on top of that, one of your magic affinites is extremely rare. You have the magic affinity for both Poison magic, as well as Spatial magic. As expected of our great and powerful Empress.” said the head librarian proudly.
I took my hand off the orb, and watched the particles fade away. I thanked the library, and decided it was time to leave now that I was done. I was extremely exhausted and cranky, and if I don’t get home soon to a bath and bed, I may order some more executions.
I begin to leave the library, with Wilheim in tow. The head librarian bid us farewell, as he took down our results.
I wondered what I could learn, and how I could make use of my magics.

I was finally back in my bedroom, in a nice silk gown after taking a nice hot bath. Although I was still extremely pissed, I decided to invite Wilheim into my room and rant to him .
“Urrghh, I’m just so mad, I hate scum like him, the people that will hit women with second thought, I’m definitely executing him.” I said, still venting.
“I have a suggestion…” said Wilheim trying to hold back from saying “my lady”.
“What is it?”
“Instead of executions, why not let him live in utter shame.”
“I’m listening…”
“How about we look into what family he is from, tell the head of the family about what occurred, and that we are taking custody of him for his punishment, though we do not have to let them know it is not execution.”
“So what are you getting at?”
“I’m saying we should make him live the shame from being an heir to some family into a lowly servant.”
“You know what Wilheim, I like your thinking. I’m glad that you’re my friend.”
“Friend…” Wilheim muttered quietly to himself.
“So be it; make it happen.” I said clapping twice.
He then left the room, and began preparing for my revenge. I was thoroughly looking forward to it.
