Jung frowned when the old gas stove clicked empty. He’d just woken up from his usual early morning, and he had already fed the cow. Now he was getting ready for school and hoped to fix his parents some breakfast when the new problem aroused.
The damn LPG gas cylinder barely lasted them 3 weeks. It's particularly cold this morning, and his mom’s joints will ache even more. He should at least offer her a hot cup of coffee, but now this.
Jung left the house and walked towards the forest with an old ax. He quickly gathered the dried branches and set them to one side. Then he eyed one dead tree he had already marked and started chopping it. His STR is now 3, and the task barely gave him a sweat.
But it took him several trips to gather all the logs, and that took time. So he needed to hustle. He placed them in a nearby fire place they had already made a long time ago for the same reason, and he made fire the old-fashioned way.
An ingenious wire holder hanging above the fire pit made the clay coffee pot boil in no time.
His mother was just sitting down at the small table when he served them coffee and a few heated breads and eggs for breakfast. “Good morning! ” Jung said cheerily. His mom just grunted.
They talked for some time while Jung cleaned up and did his normal chores around the kitchen. Eventually he finished just as his dad staggered to the table next to his mom. Jung took a quick cold bath and readied himself for school. He kissed his parents goodbye as he started his long trek to school.
As he jogged across the rugged terrain of the forest on his route to school, he began whistling. His whistling ability is currently level 3, while his jogging ability is level 7. Although the dirt road was unusually slippery and hazardous today, he was hardly exhausted by both chores. He adjusted his arm swing to keep the small LPG tank in rhythm with his whistle. Later, after school, he will buy a replacement for the tank.
“Maybe I should just take the entertainer class,” Jung mused to himself. “I’ll just have to whistle all day, and I’ll get to level 100 easily! ”
He knew that was not how it was going to work, but a boy can dream.
He still hasn't chosen which class he plans to use since he doesn’t want to regret it. Once he has chosen, it will only be by level 30 when he can replace that or choose a secondary subclass to complement his primary class. According to the information in the system, he can only get a maximum of one main class and two subclasses. The subclasses must come from the same main attribute category.
For example, the Entertainer class came from the SPIRIT attribute, while the Scholar class came from the MIND attribute. Both the farmer class and the crafter class came from the BODY attribute.
So if he chooses the Farmer class as his main class, then only sub-classes with the BODY attribute can be offered to him in the future, such as the Crafter class. Unless he chooses to replace his current main class with another. By then, he needed to wait for another 15 levels before he could get another subclass.

Unfortunately, right now, the farmer class is the last one on his list. He doesn’t have any problem with becoming a farmer, but he just feels that he can serve the fatherland by becoming something ... more.
HIs mind narrowed it down and is debating whether he wants to become one of two classes only: either the scholar class or the crafter class.
Right now, his primary source of income in the foreseeable future is the items he repairs or builds to be sold elsewhere, and he doesn’t believe that will change anytime soon.
But he is also planning to go to college one of these days, and by choosing the Scholar class, he would improve a lot faster than he is now. It will become a great boon in his studies.

Just before lunch, a timid young high school junior approached Jung and gave him a letter. When he opened it, it was a summons from the principal to meet him in his office at his convenience.
He got a lot of ribbing from his friends that day in school. First because they thought the junior was confessing to him. And when they got the time to read the message, they started speculating about what the principal wanted from Jung.
No one is really worried, including Jung. First, because he believes he didn’t do anything wrong, and second, because the principal is a good man and will not just punish Jung without hearing his side of the story.

During lunch, Jung took a stint in the school clinic again. He wanted to check a particular healthy cell sample of the mysterious plant number 2. Jung saw a bit of mutation in that cell and now he wanted to see what made them different from the others.
When he finished with that, Jung Hee went to the principal's office. Jung didn’t remember doing anything to warrant a reprimand, so he took his time, but he couldn't delay it forever. More than likely, another appliance item stop working, and the principal needed Jung’s help.
Jung happily greeted the middle-aged secretary named Mrs. Shin outside the office of the principal and inquired about her gardener husband.
Jung had spent almost 10 years and all of his school life in the same state-funded school since it housed both primary and secondary schooling. And since Jung has been in and out of most district academic contests and science project fairs all his school life, he is bound to know most of the faculty members of Guanzu Primary School, including the principal and his auburn-haired secretary.
“Your cheeks are getting rosier than usual, aunty,” Jung said. “What kind of beauty regimen do you do?. I imagine you’d be spending hours to get a result such as yours!”
Mrs. Shin did not smile, but the amusement in her eyes shone clearly to Jung's observant nature.
“Stop sucking up. You won't get any information leak from me, young man.”
“Oh come on! At least tell me if this is going to be good news or bad."
“Nope.”
Eventually, Jung sighed and dropped the subject. He may not know what this summons is all about but he knew he didn’t do anything wrong. So he wasn’t worried, just curious. They chatted a little bit. Mostly Jung giving the latest gossip around the school, until an unknown signal told the secretary that Principal Noh is ready.
So she buzzed Jung in and the boy walked inside the principal's office.
"Hello, Principal Noh," Jung greeted and bowed. "You wanted to see me?"
The balding principal looked up at his notes and smiled amicably at the young man. The short, older man had been the school principal all of Jung's stay in the school, and everyone liked him. He is an amicable older man with a perpetual smile on his face. Besides, he is a good and fair boss who handles the school affair with ease due to his long career and experience. "Hello, Jung Hee. Have a seat."
Without any hesitation, Jung happily sat down on the nearest chair and then attentively watched the principal.
"I just had a talk with a comrade of mine in the ministry of Education and I have some good news for you."
"Oh? what is it?" Jung asked curiously.
The principal gave him a genuine smile. "Congratulations, young man, your full scholarship to the DongChaek University of Technology has been approved."
Jung stared at the man for a moment, and then what the principal said was absorbed by his frozen brain. Jung jumped for joy and grabbed the old man in a hug. His boisterous laughter even forced the principal to join him in jumping up and down the office. The secretary saw them and could not help smirking at them both.
"Am I dreaming?"
"No you are not, young man."
Eventually, they got their composure back in order, but Jung couldn't stop the smile on his face. "When I become rich and powerful and get a medal of appreciation from the great leader, I will not forget to mention you in my speech, Principal Noh."
"Oh, you better not! I worked hard to get that damn thing for you!"
"I'll make you proud of me, sir. I promised!"
"You already have son," the older man said with solemn dignity.
He is warned not to share the information for now since the school plans to announce it in the next morning's ceremony. Jung promised and thanked the old man profusely again, then he is shooed out of the office. But not before he also hugged the secretary, who sighed at him exasperatedly.
Jung was bouncing in his steps as he walked back to his class. He couldn’t wait to tell his parents about it.
