Chapter 41: Night Visit

After Zaydas returned with the dead infernal wolves couple and the surviving pups, a funeral was held.

The concept of gathering to bid farewell to a loved one did not seem uncommon in this world. Even the elves joined in.

"What a shame." Hiraku sighed beside him.

The infernal wolves couple's pups whimpered as their parents' graves were made not far from Zaydas' mansion.

Later, Zaydas named the six pups: There were two males and four females. He named the males Shadow and Hades. The females were Luna, Bella, Ruby, and Ivy.

"Only when we are strong can we control our destinies," Zaydas told them. "If you don't want this to happen again, become strong."

Looking at the sky, they howled. Even though it was a childish howl, it was filled with their determination to stand firm and grow stronger.

Creating a hole in the ground and leveling it, Zaydas transformed demonic power into water and filled the hole with it before pulling out the body of the Purple King Cobra.

When the pups saw the body of the Purple King Cobra, now with its frozen head full of cracks, they began growling in hatred.

"Calm down, I will prepare this for you to eat," Zaydas said. "Eat the flesh of your enemies to grow stronger."

"Howl!!"

Shadow howled, and the others followed suit.

"This..."

The elves swallowed hard.

"Yes, it's a King Cobra..." Rize's voice trembled as she spoke.

"So that's what killed the Inferno Wolves parents, makes sense..." Ria commented.

"King Cobra?" Hiraku stared, touching his chin. "Does that taste good?"

"After I remove the poison, we'll find out," Zaydas replied.

"I can't wait." Hiraku smiled a little.

"Are they really going to eat that?" The elves looked at each other.

"Well... If the poison is removed, it should be tasty, I guess..." Riri said.

As for that, there was no way to know without tasting it.

Touching the Purple King Cobra's body, Zaydas used Modeling, separating the scales from the flesh and organs. Everything was done with such precise control that Zaydas heard murmurs of admiration.

'This skill is just too versatile,' Zaydas thought with a small smile.

The Purple King Cobra's scales were beautiful and durable, and they could be used to create items later. Because of that, he created a magic circle on the ground to store them.

Then, he also stored the venom sac.

And, nearly finishing up, he placed the Purple King Cobra's flesh and organs into the water.

Opening a smaller magic circle in the air near his hand, Zaydas pulled out a glass vial filled with a bright, transparent liquid.

Pouring it into the water, he watched as all traces of poison were eliminated.

Touching the water, he assessed it and, seeing that the lingering poison was completely gone—

'It worked~'

Taking the organs of the Purple King Cobra, Zaydas made the ground smooth and free of dust near the hatchlings and placed the organs before them.

Without needing to be told, the hatchlings, despite being small, began eating ferociously as if this were their mortal enemy. Well, it almost was, despite being parts of their enemy.

"Okay, all set, I'll start preparing." Zaydas turned to the elves and Hiraku.

"I'll help," Hiraku offered.

"Okay." Zaydas nodded.

After lunch, Zaydas began preparing the materials he had purchased earlier.

Outside the house, he used a spell to divert attention whenever someone looked in that direction while Hiraku and the elves returned to working on the plantation.

On the ground, there were various construction materials such as pipes, wires, and others.

Flying, Zaydas used Modeling. He connected the house's entire piping and plumbing system, extending it to the garden, and completed the house's wiring, distributing it to every corner, including outlets, lamps, etc.

Satisfied with the internal work, he prepared for the next step.

He took large stones from his storage dimension and used Modeling to erect a sturdy tower capable of supporting a full water tank.

With the tower completed and well-buried to prevent collapse, measuring seven meters in height and five in diameter, with 30 cm thick walls, Zaydas brought out a 20,000-liter tank, measuring 3.66 meters in height and 3.5 meters in diameter. Using Telekinesis, he made the imposing structure float and positioned it precisely at the top of the tower.

Following the manual, he connected the main pipeline to the underground water source, linking it to the water reservoir. Then, with branched pipes leading water to three houses—his already connected, but with the valve still off.

Testing first to ensure he had done it correctly, he let the water tank fill, and seeing no issues, he turned on the valve.

Entering the house, he tested it, and soon, clean, filtered water began flowing from the sink faucet.

'Very good... The filter is working perfectly,' Zaydas thought with a smile.

Now, he needed to take care of the solar panels.

Although usually installed on rooftops, he had purchased models designed for ground installation, already equipped with foldable mounts.

A bit further away, he created an area enclosed by thick stone walls, then raised the ground, elevating it 20 meters above the surface, and brought in the solar panels.

Arranged in rows and connected to each other, they were linked to solar inverters positioned just below.

It took some time, as this was Zaydas' first time doing this, but it wasn't complicated. Finally, he ran a thick underground cable to a photovoltaic inverter fixed to the outer wall of the house, also connecting it to a rechargeable generator (already charged) to ensure continuous power on cloudy days or at night.

'Ugh~ finished...' Zaydas sighed lightly.

Going to the house, he tested turning on the light switch in the entrance hall. When he saw the lamp he had installed earlier light up, he murmured, "Not bad, it wasn't that difficult..."

Even though he said that, it took several hours to finish everything. In the meantime, while he used magic to divert attention from his house so no one would notice what he was doing, by the time he removed it, Hiraku and the elves had already finished their day.

There was a system that would indicate if there was any issue with the installation, and seeing that everything was green—meaning everything was functioning correctly—he called for them.

"Zaydas, is this what I think it is?" Hiraku was astonished.

It was rare for him to show so much emotion.

But, of course, he would be—he was looking in the direction of the solar panels.

"If you're thinking they're functional solar panels, then yes, that's exactly what they are," Zaydas said. "And that's not all—I also installed the water tank."

"Simply fantastic!" Hiraku exclaimed.

"Haha, now I'll build your house as promised," Zaydas said. "By the way, do you have any specific requirements?"

"If it has a bathroom with a bathtub, that would be perfect," Hiraku replied.

"Yes, that must be done," Zaydas said. "That being the case, you don't mind if your house is dismantled so your new home can be built in its place, right?"

"No, go ahead," Hiraku responded.

At this point, Zaydas could sense that he seemed to feel a little bad.

Well, considering how much he had done, he could tell that Hiraku felt like he owed him a huge debt.

"Don't think too much about it. We're friends, right?" Zaydas said.

"Yes, we are," Hiraku said, getting excited again.

Until then, the elves had remained silent, though their eyes sparkled with curiosity. After all, this was something unknown to them, and they couldn't join the conversation since they didn't understand the topic.

Just like the process of building Zaydas's house, Hiraku's house was built with nine bedrooms on the second floor, with the master bedroom being a suite. The entire electrical and plumbing system was installed.

As for sanitation, he created a well that connected both his house and Hiraku's. It was a deep enough sewage well to avoid any concerns.

Entering the mansion in front of the great tree, Hiraku went to the switch, and when he turned it on and saw the light come on, he was moved.

"Mm, long live civilization..." he murmured.

"Magic?" The elves, who had followed inside and saw this, wondered.

"Not exactly," Zaydas explained in the simplest way possible. "This is called electricity, and it is generated from the sun's energy through those panels on the tall structure outside that you saw earlier, which reflect sunlight."

"Is that possible?" Ria was quite surprised—and she wasn't the only one.

In this world, they used magical energy to produce light and other necessities. This way of generating energy was something entirely new to them, after all.

14 days later...

During these past two weeks, the elves continued to live in Zaydas's mansion.

Everything in his mansion, such as the refrigerator, the bathroom with a shower and bathtub, among other things, caught their attention. But it was the video game that entertained the elves the most during their free time.

Because of this, they didn't feel like leaving and having their own house. They started to feel spoiled by such things and were reluctant to separate.

Even Hiraku would come over to play video games sometimes.

Zaydas was grateful that Hiraku didn't ask questions about how he got these things.

However, Zaydas simply assumed that he must have thought he created them with his powers, just as he had seen him build the house.

Well, that was precisely why he made sure that Hiraku was present when he built his mansion that day.

Besides that, the infernal wolves that Zaydas had adopted had grown enough to develop horns. Now, they looked a bit more like Kuro, Yuki, and their offspring.

Another thing that happened was Zabuton coming out of her den. Along with her, several baby spiders accompanied her.

By the way, it was the first time the elves had seen Zabuton and... well, they fell backward with their eyes spinning...

'This really happened just like in the manga...'

But it was understandable—after all, Zabuton's threat level was even higher than that of the infernal wolves, and she was known as the "Harbinger of Death and Illegal Demon Spider."

During these 14 days, Zaydas went out every day, partly searching for something valuable, partly hunting some tasty monsters, and... well, he had other reasons beyond those, but so far, he hadn't been able to find what he was looking for.

It was already dark, and night had fallen. Zaydas was in his room after having dinner and taking a bath.

"Uh?" At that moment, he sensed the presence of the elves in front of his door.

Sitting on the edge of his bed, turning on the light switch with telekinesis, he said, "Come in."

The door opened, and the elves, wearing outfits that barely covered their charming bodies, became visible as they entered the room.

Most of them were blushing slightly while fidgeting restlessly. Their outfits consisted of short silk shorts and sexy baby-dolls in various colors that suited them.

'So, they finally decided to take action.'

Zaydas even thought it had taken quite a while. After all, almost every single day, he had received their hungry gazes.

Even with the air conditioning on, Zaydas preferred to sleep wearing only short silk shorts, without underwear, enjoying the smooth touch of the fabric against his skin; his upper body was completely bare, exposing his strong physique in all its glory...

A few swallowing sounds were heard.
