*Change of P.O.V*
I gave a lazy yawn. Pushing against my two forelegs, I shoved my rear into the cool evening air. Striking my usual languid pose, I gave another silent yawn before turning around to inspect the rest of my sleeping skulk.
Big Sis had been climbing back down earlier today when she had fallen asleep against the tree. Her arms were now jutting out on either side of the trunk as she leaned against the bough. Shifting my nose down, I looked at the other two sleeping on the ground. They seemed to make the same weird noises as big sister. I couldn’t understand them either, so I decided to call them Auntie and Stinky.
Auntie I called Auntie because she is the tallest and biggest and she is very nice. She gave me food. She petted me. Scratched me. Rubbed me. And gave me food. Mm, mmm! She reminded me of mother. She even comforted Big Sis when she randomly started crying. But she isn’t mother and Big Sis is better. Big Sis is stingy with food and strict, but she is family! She trusts me and she forgives me for my mistakes. She didn’t even punish me like Big Bro did. So Big Sis is better than Auntie, which is why she is Auntie. Uhhh, but food is nice, so Auntie is also nice.
Then there is Stinky. Stinky is smelly, short and very stinky. She started off smelling like poop, and then she started smelling very fishy. After that she smelt like insects, then some very spicy smell. My nose was very itchy afterwards and I couldn’t stand her anymore so I peed on her. Afterwards, she smelt much better, but she still has a stench. I nosed her rear- she was still stinky. But we did eat lots and lots and lots of apples underneath the trees together. She enjoyed the food, but still shared it so I guess she is also nice.
Big Sis, Auntie and Stinky were still sleeping, but I was thirsty. Should I wake them up, or should I wait for them? No, I will just go myself. I still felt ashamed for running away before, but loud noises are scary. Still, next time I will definitely protect Big Sis- I will better warn her before we run into monsters!

Perking up my ears, I made sure to listen carefully. Like I thought, I could hear the trickling sound of a river. The wind was coming from the same direction as the sound of water. I raised my nose into the air. Sniff-sniff. Nothing: nothing to be afraid of at least. I snuck away from our skulk towards the river.
Whilst heading there I had nothing really do, so I started to think about Big Sis. Until recently, I haven’t seen her for a really long, long time. I felt like I had grown bigger, but she has grown much, much bigger. Although Auntie was slightly taller, Big Sis felt scarier. Maybe my memory idolised her, but she seems weirder and scarier. She hasn’t played with me much so far and she seems distracted all the time. She doesn’t check on me much either, but that’s probably because she trusts me. Still, she’s changed and I kind of miss the old Big Sis…but I can’t complain, I'm just glad to have even met her again. The forest has changed and I must have unknowingly changed with it.
But maybe…Big Sis doesn’t really need me anymore… When she mysteriously started crying before, she decided to hug Auntie instead of me…wait no, Auntie decided to hug her and she just hugged back. Mm, mm. Why else would she hug the cold Auntie right after a cold wind blew by, and not a warm fur ball like me. After all, my coat loses to no one! Right, Auntie must be the source of all these changes and issues…Does that make her good or bad then? …Yes, she is bad, but I will still accept all her food as an apology! Food is always innocent.
Licking the drool off my mouth, I noticed I had reached a small stream. It was clear and sparkling, and a bunch of colourful plants sat around it. Although I could hear the sounds of more water ahead, this stream would do. Sniffing the air again, I smelt nothing dangerous nearby. Darting my head around to check, I then quickly gulped down many mouthfuls of water. Ahh…much better. With my thirst satiated, I started heading back.
Thinking back, there was that interesting day where Big Sis did something very unusual. Instead of just signalling me, she tried to mimic my hunting style. She even tried to speak to me, but I had no idea what she was saying. Seeing her do it felt weird, but cool at the same time. And then we chased that bird huh. I nearly caught it, but I got to eager; it just looked too tasty sitting there, I couldn’t wait. Seeing her act like that, maybe she does still really care about me-huh?! But than later that day she left me behind with Stinky and went off with Auntie…. so it is all Auntie’s fault!
Suddenly, the direction of the wind changed completely, the wind now blowing from Big Sis towards me. Idle thoughts blown away along with it; I started dashing back to her. This was bad, I smelt the same enemy from before! None of them were awake when I left, they might all still be sleeping. Hoping that I would make it, I bounded back as fast as I could.
