The Legend of the Fake Hero
SS# 1: Ch 1 - Montage

SS# 1: Ch 1 - Montage

Sitting on his bed, Martel could not help but gulp as he looked at the opened door. There, he saw Miyuki. Her hair was still damp from her shower, and her clothing was not but a loose bathrobe. As he stayed there frozen, Miyuki walked over to him.

“Anata, I’m tired of waiting,” she said as she took his hand and boldly placed it on her chest. Martel involuntarily squeezed, which prompted a slight moan to escape her lips. She came close to Martel; her breath tickled his ear. “I want you to retake my first, right now.”

“Ahem,” a fake cough sounded before Martel lost his reason. The two looked over to the door and found that Freyja was standing there. There was a smile on her face, but her eyes were not smiling, and her eyebrow was twitching. “Miyuki, what do you think you’re doing?” Freyja said in a tone that sent a shiver down Martel’s spine.

Miyuki grabbed Martel’s head and thrust it between her cleavage. “Of course, I was about to make love to my husband. What’s wrong? Have you not done so yet? Well, it isn’t my fault you haven’t been aggressive enough and let me steal a march on you.”

“Hey, Miyuki,” Martel began as he realized that Freyja was starting to shake in anger.

Freyja quickly walked over, sat down on Martel’s opposite side, stole his head away from her, and thrust him into her chest. “It’s important to consider Martel’s opinion and not act shamelessly to seduce him,” Freyja said with an expression that showed her embarrassment for being so aggressive.

Miyuki grabbed Martel again. “Just because you’re his principal wife, does not mean you have to be his first wife.”

Freyja grabbed him back. “Yes, it does!”

“Enough!” Martel, who had been tugged from heaven to heaven, said as he finally had enough. He grabbed the two women and pushed them down on their backs before he violently stole their lips. “I’m flattered the two of you are both so passionate about it, but I don’t want the two of you to fight. I will be the one to make the final decision, and I hope the two of you will respect that decision. I want the two of you to remember that the one who made that decision was me. Any discontentment you have with my decision will be directed at me and only me. Have I made myself clear?” The two girls, subdued by Martel’s sudden aggressiveness, made a meek nod with flushed cheeks. However, Miyuki’s was more out of excitement than embarrassment. “Good, it’s getting late, you two should go to bed.”

The two of them nodded and exited the room without saying a word to find Anna standing outside the door. Once the door had been closed, Freyja turned to Miyuki. “Was this what you meant by acting out our jealousy? Is that why you told Anna?”

Miyuki tilted her head. “I was completely serious, and I didn’t tell anyone.”

“This one has been instructed by Master to ensure that his chastity remains intact until he willingly gives it up. Amongst all the mistresses, this one determined that Mistress Miyuki was the biggest threat, so I took the most logical course of action once a threat to master chastity was detected.” Anna replied.

The two young women looked at Anna and then at each other before they burst into laughter.

End of Day 4

“So, what is everyone doing up so early?” Martel asked.

“Martel, given what happened last night, everyone wondered how much longer we would have to wait,” Freyja replied.

Martel, slightly dumbfounded by her bluntness, was taken aback by the many expectant looks he obtained. “… Well, it’s not like I have an exact date in mind, but there are some things I want to get done beforehand.” He vaguely replied.

The girls gave each other a look before they suddenly rushed him. Surprised and unsure what they wanted, Martel didn’t resist, which led to being dumbfounded again when they threw him out the front door. Confused, he looked back at Freyja.

Freyja took a deep breath. “We have all agreed that until you have the intention to… consummate our relationships; you will no longer be allowed to see or communicate with us.” She said as the others all nodded and put up brave faces.

Martel was slightly astonished but didn’t object. Given the majority of their cultures, it was somewhat surprising that they were not insulted that he still hadn’t done anything. This was their way of letting him know that he should hurry up and get serious. “Although it pains me, I understand.”

“You are also not allowed to relive any of your memories or think about us during this time,” Freyja added, knowing full well about his endemic memory.

“Okay,” Martel said with a nod. “Oh, except that what I intend to do will probably cost money, so I’ll need to contact Miyuki to ensure that we don’t impede each other.”

“… Emails consisting of business only.” Freyja replied.

“I understand, then I’ll be going now. I’m going to miss you girls while I’m gone,” he said before he disappeared with a flash of purple.

“He accepted that better than I thought he would,” Lucibelle said.

“He probably feels guilty, so he’s going along with us,” Freyja replied.

“Well, now that he’s gone, I’m going to give everyone some fairly harsh training regimens,” Miyuki said.

The other girls looked at Freyja.

“Things like training and combat are not my forte, so I’ll defer to an expert,” Freyja replied.

Miyuki gave a content nod. “That’s right, and we have a lot to work on. Although it will be somewhat personalized, we will be focusing on muscle training, self-defense, Ki, magic, Soul Armaments, and normal training.”

“Ehhh? That sounds tiring.” Morgan replied.

“Oh, I’ll make sure it will be more than tiring,” Miyuki said with an evil laugh.

Activity Log – Subject: Martel

Day 5: Purchased a dozen androids (simplified versions of Anna named Nanna #(1-12)). Purchased a dozen specialized components for the MPU based supercomputer. Began construction of a secret base at the East Coast of the United States.

Day 6-7: Successfully created the means for MPU based AI (androids and supercomputers) to control the SRIN with simple hardware and sophisticated software addition. Left East Coast US base construction to Nanna X

Day 8-16: Secured five sufficient, remote, and undiscovered deposits of raw resources across the world required for base and mass production, including androids and supercomputers. SRIN under the control of a Nanna were left at each location.

Day 17-19: Successfully reverse-engineered the androids and supercomputers.

Day 20-21: Successfully finished East Coast US base and created equipment required for mass production of androids, supercomputers, and Sylvan batteries(small self-generating power sources for base power).

Day 22: East Coast US base becomes fully autonomous.

Day 23-27: Successfully located appropriate areas for construction of bases at: central United States(Total of 3 in US), South America(3), Europe(7), Africa(3), Asia (China (6), Russia(4), Kazakstan(2), Mongolia(1), Korea(2), Japan(2), Indonesia(1), Australia(1), India(3), Middle East(6)). All bases organized by those which will be full, minimalistic, sub, and emergency. Additional base locations to be decided later.

Day 28: Began the research for a mass transit network utilizing magic but powered by electricity.

Day 29: The first batch of androids and supercomputers completed.

Day 30-32: Delivered androids and SRIN along with sufficient materials to designated ‘full’ bases across the globe. This includes the Central US base, which has been designated as a transit hub. Base construction has begun at all locations above.

Day 33-35: Secured seven additional sufficient, remote, and undiscovered deposits of raw resources to meet heightened demand. Set priority to the discovery of further resource discovery to bases once base expansion has begun.

Day 37: Successfully created a system for mass transit. Electricity is stored within significantly sized energy crystals, which, at the control of the AI, is converted into mana, and controlled to go into engraving formula magic. Both previous steps are possible with an enchantment of Emotion Magic. The formula magic will lead to the transit hub, which will contain formula magic circles to go to each of the bases. This allows for fast transportation worldwide at no cost of mana to fixed locations.

Day 38-40: Completed transit hub to all appropriate base areas (both ways)(all have self-destruct capability). Current and future base construction, resource discovery/delivery, and additional bases location have been set to full autonomy controlled by the AI. (All supercomputers have the same AI, which is separate but occasionally sync together once integrity has been verified. All androids have independent AI, but the information is shared between them at intervals once integrity is verified). East Coast US base is treated as the main base in the event of a compromise.

Day 41: Met with David and obtained several items for customization.

Day 42: Finished customization. Sent a message, “making breakfast tomorrow”

“Are you girls going to come down? Foods ready.” Martel shouted as he finished putting down food on the table. From the time and the rustle he heard coming from upstairs, he knew that they had all been awake for some time.

“Okay, we’re coming!” Shiro shouted.

“In order,” Caelia said above the stairs.

“Awwww.”

Martel can help a chuckle as he could imagine Caelia holding Shiro back. When he heard footsteps, he turned as the girls all came walking in. His eyes noticeably widened as he watched. All of them wore conservative casual clothing with a slight touch of makeup.

“Miyuki chuckled. “Well, girls, it seems our husband approves. He’s doing everything but drooling.”

Martel made a fake cough. He’d been caught off-guard when he saw them. All of them looked fantastic. It was almost as if their figures were more refined, and they seemed even more beautiful than he remembered. “Foods getting cold.” He said to change the subject.

Everyone ate in peace and harmony making small talk. As breakfast wrapped up, Martel just watched over the girls with the content smile.

“What are you thinking about?” Freyja asked as she noticed.

“I think this last month has been good for me. It helped me realize just how much everyone means to me; how much I love you all. I’m so happy you’re all getting along well.”

The girls all had a variety of expressions from happy to embarrassed.

“So, what have you girls all been up to?”

“Will show you,” Miyuki said with a smile as she nodded to Freyja.

Freyja smiled and threw a Ki clad punch towards Martel. Martel caught the punch and was surprised to find that he only had a slight advantage.

“Peak Rank 10 Ki? Already?”

“Yes,” Miyuki said with a smile. Everyone worked hard to get stronger.” Miyuki replied.

“Let’s go outside so you can fully show me,” Martel said, unable to hide his happiness.

After quickly cleaning up breakfast, the happy family made their way to a part of the property that was used by the girls for training before.

“All right, so what you have to show me?”

“Freyja, you first,” Miyuki said.

Freyja nodded, looked towards where the target and pointed. A second later, a magical circle that flashed green and blue suddenly appeared at the tip of her finger. Highly compressed stream of water shot forth, piercing the target.

“You are already able to use magic involving mana. That’s wonderful!”

Freyja’s face took on a tinge of blush from embarrassment and joy at his praise. “It isn’t that impressive. When I was trying to figure out water-based attack magic, as water magic was always my forte, I had to ask around. Angelica came up with the idea, and Morgan came up with the formula.”

Martel thought back to the formula she had just shown. It was relatively complicated and incorporated elements of both wind and water to make a compressed water blade. He looked over towards Angelica and Morgan. “Well done, especially with the formula.”

“Angelica helped quite a bit too; she’s a fast learner with magic.”

“Can’t wait to see that,” Martel replied with a grin as he looked towards Angelica, who looked away with a blush. “Anything else?” Martel asked Freyja.

Freyja nodded and took a deep breath. Then, a crown appeared atop her head with a flash of gold.

“Soul Armament?” Martel said with surprise slightly caught up in the fact that her Soul Armament made her look even more beautiful and noble.

Stolen story; please report.

Freyja nodded. “Yes, but I don’t exactly know what it uses are, other than it makes people in a certain area feel more spirited.” She replied, slightly embarrassed.

Noticing the Freyja was slightly disheartened due to not knowing its effect, he reached out to stroke her head to console her. As he did so, his finger gently brushed against her Soul Armament, and his eyes widened in surprise.

“Crown of the Holy Queen (God Slayer Series): Upon activation, it creates a circular aura (focused behind) that grants a buff to all allies and increases healing. Increases affinity with the Holy attribute and healing.” Martel said in a daze.

Miyuki gave a surprised glance towards Martel. “That sounded awfully specific.”

“The words just appeared in my head when I touched her Soul Armament,” Martel said, pondering. “Such a description was also similar to what I obtained when exploring my Soul Armament, Crown of Origin, so that may be the reason. I did not have it as Shiba, which would explain why I only just discovered it.”

Miyuki nodded with a smile. “Well then, that will definitely be useful for the others.”

“Glad to be useful,” Martel said with a chuckle. “Anything else you like to share?” he asked Freyja.

Freyja made a bitter smile. “Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to create a Ki Manifestation.”

“That’s quite alright. Things like that shouldn’t be rushed. It’s only been a month, and your growth is astonishing. So then I guessed Morgan is next?”

“Can I go last?” Morgan asked.

“I don’t see why not. Miyuki, how about you?”

Miyuki smiled. “Nothing too special as you’ve seen my Soul Armament, the fan, and I already know what it does. Other than that, I’ve been working on turning my spells from written magic into formula magic. It’s quicker, but not as efficient concerning the power to mana ratio. Other than that, I’ve been working on perfecting Gale Step and Wind Blade. I just barely managed to create a Ki Manifestation for both my fan and katana.”

“Both? That’s quite impressive given how busy I know you are how short a time you’ve had Ki. Also, Gale Step and Wind Blade are difficult on the body. Are you okay using them?”

Miyuki nodded. “With Ki, it isn’t too taxing. Lucibelle, your turn.”

Lucibelle nodded. “I managed to learn gravity magic and the basics of space magic, but I definitely cannot be as versatile as you. I’ve mostly been focusing on self-defense and Ki. Otherwise, my Soul Armament.” She said as she extended her hand. With a flash, a black and purple scepter appeared.

Martel reached out and touched it. “Scepter of the Dark Queen. When active, it creates an aura (focused forward) that weakens the enemy and boosts ally offensive power. Increases user affinity with Darkness and Curse.”

“It’s basically the opposite of mine,” Freyja said with some surprise.

“Interestingly, Freyja’s Soul Armament encourages her to be closer to the frontlines. Lucibelle’s encouragers her near the back. Both are more effective in larger fights and used in conjunction. Caelia, your turn.”

Caelia stepped forward. “I managed to make a Ki Manifestation of the staff. As for magic, I’ve learned a little bit of each type, but only the most basic. As for my Soul Armament...” After giving a look as if she was slightly ashamed, a small moon appeared behind her with a flash. After he did so, her skin noticeably turned tan.

Martel reached out and touched it. “Lunar Descent: when active, a certain area around the user will be influenced as though under a full moon. Increases user affinity with Illusions”

Caelia looked noticeably disappointed. “It’s just as useless as I thought.” She mumbled.

Martel reached over and hugged her. “Don’t think of it like that. I’ve always had the feeling that soul armaments can continue to grow and evolve. Once we figure out how I’m sure it will be wonderful.” He said before his face broke out into an evil smile. “Besides, this means I can see your sexy tan form whenever I want.”

“Pervert,” Morgan mumbled under her breath as Caelia noticeably blushed.

“Shiro next! Shiro next!” Shiro shouted.

“Okay, okay,” Martel replied. “You started addressing yourself in the third person?”

Shiro tilted her head. “The three dumb-dumbs said I should.”

[What are those three idiots teaching her?] Martel thought as his eyebrow twitched. “Well, what have you learned?”

“Welllll, I’m no good with magic, so I just did lots of fighting!” Shiro said as she pumped her fist. “I can jump and punch really fast!”

“Gale Step and Myriad Punch.” Miyuki clarified.

“Really?” Martel asked, surprised.

Miyuki nodded bitterly. “She learned faster than me.”

“Also! Also!” Shiro said excitedly before flashes of white appeared on her hands and feet became cat paws, although they look more like mittens. “Nya,” Shiro said as she made a hand gesture.

[Cute] Martel couldn’t help but think. He turned to Miyuki, who he noticed was staring at him with narrowed eyes.

“Lolicon.” She said.

“How rude,” Martel replied.

“Freyja already told us your type. Still waiting for you to add a brunette.”

Martel rolled his eyes as he reached out to touch Shiro’s paws. After he did so, his face was covered in heavy black lines. “… Shiro’s Cat Paws: increases physical attack and mobility. Don’t get scratched, or you’ll bleed out, K! Increases user affinity with Metal... Why do I feel like I just got trolled?” Martel mumbled.

Shiro tilted her head cutely while the other girls chuckled.

“We actually did discover that anything that she cuts is harder to heal. On top of that, she accidentally fired a multipronged Wind Blade before.”

“That’s quite impressive.” He said as he rubbed her head, which prompted Shiro to laugh happily. “Cali?”

“Ki.”

“Peak Rank 10 Ki already? I guess you’re able to get Ki after you can make an actual human body. How about a Manifestation?”

“Any weapon.”

“Any weapon that you know? So, my Ki Armory? How about your Soul Armament?”

With a nod, two curved swords suddenly appeared in her hands. The white one was that with the white fire while the black one was encased in ice.

Martel noticed that the two swords fit together and were designed similar to yin-yang. He reached out and touched them. “Swords of Yin-Yang: Dual short swords (one Yin one Yang) can produce any element consistent with its respective category. provides comprehensive affinity and resistance.”

Cali tilted her head and, with thought, the white sword changed from fire to electricity while the black began to be covered in dirt.

“That’s an interesting Soul Armament. You are going to need to practice with that quite a bit.”

“Together?”

“Of course,” Martel replied as he patted Cali’s head as a rare smile appeared on her lips. “Shalgana?”

“Yes, Honorable Husband. I have been primarily focusing on Ki and swordsmanship. I’ve learned Gale Step and Wind Blade to that end. I’m quite bad with magic, but I picked up basic space formula magic relatively easily for whatever reason. As for my Soul Armament, it would be better if I showed you in practice.”

Martel was slightly confused but nodded, and the two of them stepped to the side. Martel withdrew Kuroka while Shalgana took out a scimitar in one hand. Martel was surprised when she extended her hand, and another identical scimitar appeared in it. Without saying a word, Shalgana began to attack. She attacked only with the original scimitar several times. Martel was gratified to find that her utilization of Ki and her overall swordsmanship had improved. Then, she suddenly attacked with her other sword straight to his throat. Martel attempted to block it with Kuroka but was dumbfounded when the sword went straight through it. That moment of surprise caused him to panic as he reached up with his other hand and utilized his Shield Soul Armament. However, Shalgana’s scimitar went straight through his shield, arm, and throat, dealing no damage. Martel had no time to be surprised as Shalgana had already attacked with her other sword as he had been thrust off balance due to surprise. Unable to block, he Gale Stepped away only to immediately be caught by Shalgana, who had done so. In the end, he managed to catch her sword with a Ki Dragon arm.

“Very good,” Martel said, unable to hide his surprise and admiration. “Mirror Sword: if one sword is held, an ethereal copy will appear in the other. Swords can freely switch between hands (takes time and will cause a subtle flash). If two swords are held, up to one sword can become ethereal temporarily. Increases affinity was space. This could be quite tricky to fight against.”

Shalgana nodded. “Unfortunately, it takes time to switch so it can’t be used as a long-term deception, but it can keep them on their toes and surprise them.”

“That sneak attack you did against me was very effective. However, you should focus on your swordsmanship in general, and use the Soul Armament is only a part. It will make it more effective and give you more versatility.”

“Yes!” Shalgana replied happily.

“Yutsuki, how about you?” Martel asked.

“Yes, Onii-sama, I have also been focusing on self-defense. I’ve successfully managed to create a Ki Manifestation for my bows and arrows. As for my Soul Armament, I also want to show you a practical example.” She said as she took out her bow and arrows.

Martel quickly created a distance between them. Yutsuki had the same ability as he, which allowed the user to precisely know where to aim a ranged attack to hit the target. However, it wasn’t perfect. After the ranged attack was launched, the target could still dodge as the attack was no longer under control.

Yutsuki took her bow and aimed at Martel before her arrow flashed and began to glow. Slightly wary, Martel prepared himself. Yutsuki released her arrow, and Martel got out of the way but was surprised when he found that the arrow was faster and also turned towards him. He further twisted his body to dodge, but the arrow seemed to have a mind of its own, and he still had to slightly deflect it with his Ki infused hand. Surprised, he reached and picked up the now ground-embedded arrow. “Tracking Arrow: increases the damage and speed of arrows. It will track its intended target to a certain extent and increases affinity with archery and wind and wind resistance. That’s extremely useful and somewhat scary when combined with your other ability.”

“I’m glad you think so,” Yutsuki said softly and happily.

“Angelica, how about you?”

“Angelica is quite amazing,” Freyja said. “She’s had to learn both Ki and magic from scratch in only a month with startling results.”

“Thank you, Freyja,” Angelica said with a smile.

“Don’t thank me, quickly tell him,” Freyja said with a smile.

“Well, I’ve also just reached Peak Rank 10 Ki. I’ve also created a Ki Manifestation that will increase the efficiency of any ammunition, including bullets and plasma. I have a basic understanding of Emotion Magic, but Formula Magic is amazing with my scientific knowledge. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out a use for my Soul Armament yet.”

“Show me,” Martel said with a smile.

Angelica obliged, and a flat-sided cone with a light at the end appeared floating behind her.

Martel reached out, touched it, and paused for a second before breaking into a broad grin. He pulled out a gun from his storage ring. “Angelica, point the light towards this gun and think about scanning it.”

Although confused, Angelica did. A light beam suddenly extended from the light at the end of her Soul Armament. After a couple of seconds, Angelica’s mouth was suddenly agape from shock.

Martel smiled. “Drone: can scan objects and give the user feedback of the composition, materials, basic functionality, etc. The user can also see from the Drone’s eye.”

Intrigued, Angelica closed her eyes and focused. “Hey, I can see!”

“Is it only sight?”

The Drone moved around. “No, I can tell the distance, measure wind, stuff like that.”

“Oh my goodness, that’s incredible!”

“Why?”

“Think about it. Your Drone is basically a superefficient spotter. With your wings to help give you access to any perch you want, you would make an incredible sniper.”

“That’s true!” Angelica said with a smile. “I was always a good shot. This will make me even better.”

“Kuromi, how about you?”

“Peak Rank 10 Ki and Emotion Magic to help my stealth...”

“That’s all?”

Kuromi nodded.

“Okay then, Morgan, your turn.”

“All right. Cali, the usual place, and bring everybody, please.”

Cali nodded and then used Dimension Door. The next second, everyone found themselves in the middle of nowhere. Martel noticed there was a significant amount of destruction in the area.

“I managed to get Peak Rank 10 Ki and learned basic self-defense. Otherwise, I am quite proficient in all forms of magic. As for my Soul Armament,” she began as a Golden wand that was like a twisted branch appeared in her hand with a flash.

Martel reached out and touched it. “Wand of the Fae (God-Slayer Series): Can increase the effect of any magic at the cost of exponential mana. Can use more mana at once. Grants affinity and resistance with all magic.”

“That makes sense,” Morgan said with a nod. “All right, stand over there and make sure that you use your full defense.”

Martel was slightly confused, but he nodded. Morgan pointed her wand at him, and he sensed the flow of mana, but he saw no formula or written words. Instead, all he could sense was that the wind began to change. He became slightly dizzy, and he realized it was because he was suffering from oxygen poisoning. He also noticed that Morgan had put in earplugs.

Cali looked at Martel. “If you don’t go all out, you’ll die.” She said.

Cali’s words struck Martel like lightning as he realized why he had such a bad premonition. He immediately draconified, used his Ki Dragon Manifestation, used all of his Soul Armaments for full armor, and took out Gram and thrust it into the ground blocking in front of him.

The other girls, confused as to why he suddenly went all out, looked at Cali, who put her hands on her ears.

“Cover your ears, or it will hurt,” Cali said, and everyone quickly did so.

“Explode!” *bang*. With a massive sound, an explosion quickly enveloped the area where Martel was. The girls all screamed from surprise and shock as the air and debris from the explosion traveled past them. After several seconds, Miyuki used her fan Soul Armament and blew away the dust to reveal Martel. His Ki Dragon was all but destroyed. It, along with his Soul Armaments, crumbled to reveal a slightly bloodied and battered Martel. “Ouch, that packed a punch.” He said with a smile.

Morgan let out a laugh before she began to fall over.

“Morgan!” Freyja shouted as she grabbed her sister. Martel quickly made his way over to her and checked her out. He concluded that she had the symptoms of being mana drunk. She had traces of practicing before and had most likely used the rest of her mana in the attack.

“Hee hee, I did it,” Morgan said, a little delirious.

“That was a wonderful display of magic,” Martel replied.

“I talked to a couple of people who also used magic. It turns out it is possible to use magic for mana directly instead of using catalysts like formula or words,” Morgan said with slightly slurred but coherent speech. “When I realized this, I also realized that most magic is mana controlled by imagination to create a result. However, this makes most people think about the result and not the process. I asked Angelica about some science things and made magic by using mana to separate and condense the flammable gases and air before igniting them, creating a large explosion. Did I do good?” She said as she looked at Martel expectantly.

“You did amazing,” Martel replied, impressed by her ability.

“I did good,” Morgan mumbled to herself before her smile disappeared, and she reached up and grabbed Martel’s clothing. “I did good, right? I’m useful, right?”

“Morgan, what’s wrong?” Martel asked, concerned from her sudden change.

“I’m useful, right? I’m not as beautiful, smart, or polite as Freyja. You won’t abandon me for her again, right?” Morgan said as tears began to form in her eyes before she passed out.

The girls all had a look of surprise in their eyes while Freyja and Martel had traces of trepidation. It seemed as though Morgan had an inferiority complex towards Freyja.

Martel gently took Morgan in a princess carry. “Come on, we’re going home.” He said as he created a Dimension Door back. No one spoke anything as he carried Morgan and led Freyja up the stairs to his bedroom. He gently laid Morgan on his bed, motioned Freyja to join her, got himself cleaned up, and joined the two of them. He lay down with Morgan between them.

Nothing was spoken as the two of them lay there for several hours, waiting for Morgan to wake up.

...

Morgan’s eyes fluttered before she woke up. She stretched a little before she looked around, flinching when she realized she was not alone. After a couple of seconds, she seemed to remember what had transpired, and she quickly dug her head into a pillow.

“Morgan, what’s wrong?” Martel asked gently.

“Don’t talk to me,” Morgan replied.

“If you don’t talk, I’ll spank you,” Martel replied.

Morgan sat up immediately. “You dare, pervert!” she shouted, noticeably not facing Freyja.

“Morgan, what’s wrong?” Martel asked again.

Morgan slightly turned until she could see Freyja in the corner of her eye before she turned back. “Freyja, I’m sorry, I said some things I shouldn’t have.”

Freyja quickly hugged her from behind. “No, you should’ve said it if those were your honest feelings. It’s okay. You know, right after Martel and I shared our first kiss, I know you were watching.”

Morgan flinched. “You knew?”

“Yes, and I realized how much you loved him; that I couldn’t have him all for myself. So, don’t ever say that he abandoned you, all right?”

Morgan nodded before she looked over to Martel. “Sorry,” she softly said.

Martel did not reply but gently held her bent down and took her lips. Morgan flinched for a second but soon gave in. The kiss was not full of passion but affection.

After their kiss ended, Martel stroked her hair. “Goldie, you are incredibly beautiful, talented, and I love you. Never doubt that.”

“… Pervert.” Morgan mumbled into his chest to hide her happiness and embarrassment.

...

Martel brought all the girls downstairs. “All right, girls, I want you to know some very important. I don’t want you ever to compare yourself to others. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses; everyone is different. If you are ever feeling down, or feel your abilities insufficient, I want you to remember that I chose you. I want you to take pride in that. You are my wives, who I love.”

End of Day 42
