The Last Spade Master
Fire meets the Fire

Fire meets the Fire

Hearing the screech of a car, the mechanics of Sydney Ignites turn their heads towards the source. The classic black Mercedes Maybach halted in front of the shed. The workers curiously waited for the person to step down from the car.

They had seen many luxurious cars and bikes in the shed, so they could tell that the one which halted in front of the shed was definitely not as low key as it seemed on the outside.

Raven stepped down from the car and adjusted his crisp white shirt. His sleeves were now rolled up to reveal his strong arms. His impeccably styled black hair, usually tamed, now danced in the breeze, lending him an air of casual authority.

As he made his way toward the workshop, his gaze swept over the modernized interior, taking in the glassy windows and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Though his features remained stoic, there was a hint of appreciation in his observant eyes.

Aiden, who is sitting on the bonnet of the car, is now busily eating the biscuits, unaware that his father is here to hunt him down.

"Does it taste good?"

Aiden jerked hearing the sudden voice and dropped the biscuit in his hand, but Raven caught it before it touched the floor. Aiden's surprise turned to wide-eyed astonishment as he looked up at his father looming over him.

Raven took a bite of the biscuit, a smirk playing on his lips as he met Aiden's gaze.

"Do you think you can escape from me?"

Aiden's eyes gaped at his father, wondering why he was there.

"You haven't had your breakfast yet. Let's go," Raven declared, effortlessly lifting Aiden from the bonnet.

"But she said I could go with her to Ms. Pakpao's restaurant," Aiden protested, squirming in his father's arms.

Raven's lip twitched. "Who is she?"

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

He inquired sharply, his curiosity piqued. As far as he could recall, Aiden wasn't one to indulge anyone who didn't captivate his interest or entertain him. For his son to visit someone on a daily basis, she must be extraordinarily special.

"Me," came the response from behind him.

The voice was neither sweet nor meek; instead, it rang out with firmness and a hint of iciness. Raven didn't need to turn to recognize who it belonged to. After all, the purpose of today's visit was to meet the woman who had captured his son's attention.

Turning on his heel, Raven found himself face to face with her. The young woman leaned casually against the car, arms folded across her chest. Her midnight-black hair was swept up into a high ponytail, and her lips were set in a thin line. Sharp electric blue eyes narrowed curiously as they met his gaze.

Raven had encountered numerous beautiful women in his lifetime. With wealth, charm, and good looks at his disposal, he was not lacking in any aspect. However, the dangerous aura that surrounded him prevented most from daring to approach him. Even his enemies hesitated to make eye contact with him.

Yet, this woman stood before him calmly, her gaze unflinching and boldly meeting his own. While her beauty may not have been the most striking he'd ever seen, there was something lurking in the depths of her eyes—a darkness, a sinister energy, like a scorching flame ready to consume anything in its path.

For a moment, they locked eyes, their gazes so intense that those around them could feel the weight of their presence bearing down upon them.

Raven strode purposefully towards Siren, his gaze penetrating as he approached. Breaking the tense silence, he uttered a few words that left everyone speechless.

"I am hungry."

Siren: "…"

Aiden: "…"

Everyone: "…"

Siren silently observed the two figures engrossed in their meal, almost forgetting that they were essentially freeloading off her hospitality.

Pakpao's restaurant was located near the high school, typically catered to students and office workers. However, today it was unusually crowded, with the attention of many high school girls fixed on a particular table in the corner.

Despite the stares, neither of the two seemed bothered. Their focus remained solely on the food before them.

Raven ate his breakfast and he seemed satisfied with the taste. It was a simple breakfast with a banana pancake with maple syrup and cheese.

Siren couldn't help but notice the man's every move exuding elegance. His manner of cutting the pancake with a knife and lifting the fork spoke volumes, indicating he was out of place in such a setting. She shifted her gaze to the young fireball seated beside him.

Aiden, who had eaten waffles in the shed before, simply settled for a bread omelete. Taking a big bite, crumbs of bread clung to the corners of his mouth. Observing this, Siren leaned in and gently wiped the corner of his mouth with the tissue.

Raven observed the scene silently, his attention now diverted towards the window as he gazed into the distance.
