Today was a nice day. Just as good as every other day. Dino stayed by the lake, drinking water, splashing around, and feasting upon the unlucky little creatures that came his way. It was a simple but solitary life. Dino had no more family and was bad at making friends since every other creature feared him. But that trauma is for another day. dino was okay with this. He could live this same day over and over again for the rest of his life and never get tired of it. Dino pondered this as he floated through the water basking in the sun. It was a perfect day, the wind was a gentle breeze which slightly ruffled the leaves of the trees, the water was just right, and the sun was shining bright without a cloud in the sky. Actually, now that he thought about it, the sun was shining a little too bright, and it was getting bigger! Upon closer inspection dino could barely comprehend what he was seeing. It was a giant rock looking thing with holes all over it falling from the sky! As it barreled towards the earth a trail of a blazing red and orange substance trailed behind it, burning everything in its path. It was a fearful sight, but yet also a little beautiful. The way the fire danced and flared on its way down was mesmerizing. Dino stood there perplexed, scared, and amazed all at the same time. What was this strange thing? Why was it falling from the sky? HOW is it falling from the sky!? Dino had so many questions, but as dino was pondering these thoughts, he noticed the thing was getting closer and closer, and it looked like it was heading straight for him, but he couldn't move, at least not in enough time, or maybe he was too mesmerized by the fire or too caught up in his own questions to realize his soon demise. He did not know what this strange object was, but he knew that when it collided with him, he and every living thing on earth would die. But this couldn't be! Dino didn't want to die! He still had a long and happy life to live. He could have lived this day over and over again for his whole long and happy life (besides the giant thing barreling towards him at this very moment). Living a life of almost complete solitude and everyone you meet either turning into lunch or running away in fear... Now that dino thought about it, his life was actually kind of sad. All the semi fun things he did all day was to distract him from his loneliness and the pain of losing his family, and it's not like he could make friends either. Every other dino feared him. As he discovered the sad truth of his life the big rock was coming closer, but as it came closer dino decided not to move, but instead to accept his demise. Even if he moved there's no way he could outrun it now and if he did survive his life wasn't much worth living. He had no family or friends and lived the same day over and over just to distract himself from the pain. Dino accepted his death with open arms and as the rock hit him, he hugged it. He had not hugged anyone in a while. It felt nice. The rock felt hard and rough, but the glowing colors felt nice and warm, glowing around his body. it felt like the rock was hugging him back. He closed his eyes knowing he would be dead soon, but that didn't happen. he felt himself lifting off of the ground, The rock was going back up!
