Observing the aftermath of Purple Rod’s devastating Justice Punch left The Blur flabbergasted.
"This...this is madness!" The Blur shuddered. How could anyone hope to defeat a juggernaut wielding such casual planet-cracking strength? Was this the full might of Lord Skull's inner circle?
"Madness is the crux of creation, boy." Purple Rod laughed before his smile turned cruel. "But your tiny mind cannot comprehend cosmic truth..."
He began stalking through the debris towards The Blur, hefting his baton weapon. "So I will simply splatter it across this wasteland instead!"
Rainwater trickled down The Blur's mask as Purple Rod approached for the killing blow. In this dismal moment, he thought of his mother, friends, and all the innocent lives he had sworn to protect. Was this how their valiant stand ended?
No! Gritting his teeth, The Blur forced himself upright. Though his muscles screamed in protest, he would never yield to evil! Whipping dreadlocks into an electrical vortex barrier, he faced Purple Rod's charge head-on. Elemental forces collided in a shockwave of power as the two titans clashed amidst the raging storm!
Their duel intensified as Purple Rod battered The Blur's dreadlock vortex with crushing blows. Each collision rattled Devon to his marrow, forcing him back inch by inch. He struck back desperately with Dread Webs and Tesla Blades whenever gaps appeared, but his electrified attacks barely left scorch marks on the violet villain's impervious skin.
“Urh…”
Cocoa Fox peeled herself off the rubble where Purple Rod had tossed her, head still spinning. Rain plastered orange fur flat as she sought her ally frantically. Through the chaos and smoke, she spotted The Blur staggered but defiant as he faced the enemy's charge.
"Blur, no!" Cocoa Fox tried dashing to his aid, only for a sudden kick to her ribs to send her tumbling painfully. Coughing, she glared up at Poison Dart leaning casually against a cracked wall.
"Leaving so soon, puppy? But you'll miss the main event," the assassin sneered. Almost faster than Cocoa Fox could follow, Poison Dart snatched up a handful of gritty mud and hurled it straight into her opponent's eyes.
Blinded and caught off guard by the dirty trick, Cocoa Fox scrambled back snarling threats between furious paw swipes trying to clear her vision. By the time she blinked sight clear, only a fading rustle marked Poison Dart's swift departure towards the treeline.
"You're not getting away!" the fox hero yelled before bounding into pursuit. Anxiety gnawed her belly leaving The Blur unaided, but capturing this viper took priority with so much at stake. Tanya refused to fail her partner or their cause!
Poison Dart slipped gracefully between the towering teak and bamboo groves lining the gully slope. But raging determination lent Cocoa Fox greater speed. She rapidly closed the distance just as her quarry vaulted a twisted banyan root stretching across their path.
With a grunt, Cocoa Fox hurled her twin bolas, the cord neatly snaring Poison Dart's ankles and sending her crashing down in a startled cry. In a flash, Tanya pounced and pinned the criminal under her paws.
"Gotcha at last, baby bird!" she hollered in Fox form. But her smugness died swiftly when Poison Dart's hand slashed suddenly across her cheek. Fiery pain erupted as the assassin's toxic nails introduced venom into Tanya's bloodstream.

Hissing curses, Cocoa Fox recoiled from her trapped foe, cheek already swelling ominously. But then brutal training took over. Ignoring the creeping coldness in her veins, Cocoa Fox struck Poison Dart's temple sharply with the pommel of one katana, instantly knocking her unconscious.
Panting, Tanya then lopped off the lethal claws with a quick blade swipe before binding both the assassin's hands and feet securely. She would pay for her vile tricks later. But first, Cocoa Fox had to hurry to assist The Blur before that Purple brute pummelled him to paste.
"You can't keep this up forever, pest!" Purple Rod jeered amidst the raging storm. To prove it, his baton released a blistering arc of sonic frequency, badly singing The Blur even through his protective dreadlocks coiled overhead. The crackling blast still knocked Devon off his feet once more onto the muddy rubble.
"Had enough yet?" Purple Rod mocked, planting one huge boot atop Devon's heaving chest. "Scurry creatively for a few seconds more then I'll end your worthless little life."
He raised his right arm which was swollen with JUSTICE and now buzzing an angry violet for the finishing blow. This fight neared its climax beneath gathering thunderheads. Either the heroes triumphed against the odds or darkness claimed Portland parish completely tonight.
However, in the heart of the chaos, The Blur refused to taste defeat. His mind searched for a way out, anything he could do to save his neck. As he struggled, his mask’s HUD began flashing a dire warning - only 2% Dread Charge remained. The situation was getting worse for The Blur by the second!
Whoosh!
“Say goodnight permanently, little pissant!” Purple Rod's colossal fist drew near in a bone-crushing 'Justice Punch!'
‘No! It can’t end like this. I have so much I want to achieve…’ The Blur's thoughts turned desperate as he watched with swollen eyelids JUSTICE descending swiftly.
“Ha-ha-ha! Now you die!”
Boom!
Suddenly, a jagged bolt of lightning streaked from the heavens and struck The Blur directly.
“KYAAAAAAH!”
He released a dreadful scream upon impact. The surge of energy was unlike anything he'd ever felt; it was electrifying him with renewed power.
The sky darkened ominously as the lightning's crackling energy enveloped him further. In a flash, The Blur's senses heightened, and his body surged with an otherworldly force.
“Hmm? What the hell is this now?” Purple Rod who was momentarily stunned by the sudden lightning strike, hesitated for the briefest moment to land JUSTICE.
Seizing the opportunity, The Blur unleashed a powerful electric force that blew Purple Rod away. The brute tumbled several times in the mud like a swine.
“Wow, I’m feeling energized!” The Blur had never been able to draw on this much electricity before, his Coco cells were maxing out blissfully.
“Now then… I better end this quickly.” Knowing that this electric boost wouldn’t last forever, The Blur gathered his resolve before taking a deep breath, triggering 'Hyper Rush,' the world around him slowing to a crawl.
With time seemingly suspended, The Blur became a blur himself, darting around Purple Rod at blinding speed while unleashing a barrage of powerful blows that could put several dents into a tank! However, his electrified attacks barely scratched the surface of Purple Rod's invulnerable violet skin. He had to think fast and switch his tactics.
“If fists won’t work then I’ll use these!” Using his hair, The Blur gathered nearby debris—logs, rocks, and metal—hurling them at his adversary with precision. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Despite the barrage, Purple Rod remained unyielding, his resilience was impenetrable.
“Then I’ll have to go all in! COME NOW!”
Summoning his last reserves of strength, The Blur aimed a precise kick beneath Purple Rod’s chin that launched him skyward. In a freakish display of power, The Blur transformed his dreadlocks into a massive, intricate cannon crackling with electric energy—a 'Dread Bolt Cannon.'
“GO!”
The cannon discharged a torrent of green lightning, a searing beam that struck Purple Rod with ferocious intensity. The villain was engulfed in the electric surge, hurtling higher and higher until he vanished beyond the clouds.
“Huff…huff…” The natural flow of nature returns to normal which saw The Blur breathing heavily. Exhausted but determined, his focus shifted to finding Cocoa Fox and recapturing Poison Dart. The battle had drained him completely. As the remnants of electricity flickered away, he collapsed, unconscious, sinking into the muddy ground.
The world spun around him as he drifted into unconsciousness, his heroic efforts having pushed him to his limits. The rain continued to fall like a relentless rhythm against his mask as he lay motionless and spent from the tremendous battle.
