Into The Wild
“The gods have taken pity on the player and have reverted him back into a human. I shall now be hunted by the gods themselves. The hunt… Has begun.”

After making his decisions, I wake up on a rocky beach that reminds me of the opposite of something tropical. I sit up and realizing that there is a storm brewing above him that would get here in about an hour. I think that in about an hour, if I hurry, I will be able to make a makeshift base. Around the shore, there were medium sized stones and mist wafted thinly in the air.
On my right, I saw a rocky ridge and a small island, while on my left, the shoreline turned inward, and I couldn’t see much. Suddenly, I hear a rustling in the bushes. Instinctively, I whip around and notice a lone goblin charging toward me with his “sword”- or should I say stick drawn. Suddenly, a flash alert comes into my view defocusing me from battle.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
FLASH ALERT: You have encountered your first enemy! You can analyze them to view their level and stats! (Caution, viewing flash alerts doesn’t pause time)
When I read that I quickly exit the menu and pulled out my short sword. As if by reflex of me doing this for multiple years, I sidestep the goblin’s swing, and slit his throat the goblin dying with a sweet gurgle. Suddenly, a sweet tune plays (reminding me of the one that plays when you make a netherite hoe in Minecraft) And a pop-up float into my vision.
Level Up! You have advanced and are now a level 2 beginner player. You have gained 2 marks and 5 tokens.
Remembering that I have hundreds of marks and tokens I willed up the menu for choosing my skills. I upgraded my skill in armor and the short sword and unlocked the most basic shield skill, fire shield. Once that was done, I glanced at the description of it and saw that it would cost 50 mana per hour to maintain, and would decrease the damage input of all spells and attacks by 63 HP. Now, that the fight was over, I went over to the dead goblin and analyzed him. It turns out that they each have 100 hp and you can instantly kill them by splitting their throat.
At this point the storm was already almost upon me and I needed to hurry to build a shelter… If I would even be able to. Something was off…
