> I've taken the train home. I was planning on a longer stay at the Fair, the excitement with the president has me on edge.

> I suppose I'll work on the LED, try and make something useful with it. I believe I'll be far too busy to pay attention to my journal until I reach a breakthrough.

Inside the dimly lit pawn shop, Edward's eyes adjust to the low light, revealing a cluttered space filled with an assortment of trinkets and forgotten treasures. Behind the counter stands an elderly man named F, whose demeanor and mannerisms harken to a stereotype of a criminal from 19th century England.

F notices Edward's arrival and greets him with a toothless grin. "Well, well, what 'ave we 'ere? A new face in town! Welcome to F's Pawnery, lad. What can I do for ya?"

Edward returns the smile and approaches the counter, intrigued by the character before him. "Good day, F. I heard there might be some work opportunities here. I'm in need of some extra coin. Do you have any jobs available?"

F's eyes light up mischievously, his voice laced with a hint of excitement. "Ah, an eager one, ain't ya? Always got a job or two up me sleeve, I do. Tell ya what, I got a special task for ya, a way to earn some coin and gain a bit of adventure."

Edward leans in, captivated by F's words. "I'm listening. What's the job?"

F lowers his voice conspiratorially. "There's a certain someone who owes me a bit of money, ya see. They've got some lost property I'm keen on gettin' back. I need someone with a bit o' stealth and cunning to retrieve it for me. Think you're up for the challenge, lad?"

Edward's eyes light up with excitement. A quest to retrieve lost property—this was his chance to prove himself and explore the depths of his abilities. "I'm in, F. Consider it done. Just point me in the right direction."

F nods approvingly, reaching under the counter to retrieve a small slip of paper. He hands it to Edward. "Here's the address and a few details. Be discreet, lad. Remember, this ain't a lawful venture, but a venture nonetheless. Best of luck to ya."

Edward takes the slip of paper, glancing over the address and the specifics of the quest. A sense of determination fills him as he tucks the paper safely into his pocket. "Thank you, F. I won't let you down."

"A moment boy! It's dangerous to go alone, I've this dagger, take it with you!"

Grabbing the dagger, and with a nod of farewell, Edward leaves the pawn shop, anticipation building within him. His path now set, he sets off to embark on his first true adventure, guided by the thrill of the unknown and the promise of a successful outcome. The world of possibilities within The Eternal City awaits him, and he's ready to embrace the challenges and rewards it holds.
