Charles and his warriors were strengthened by Athena’s ability while the enemies were weakened. The mastermind behind the scheme was ready to retreat once he saw Athena.
Few Miles from the battlefield, three individuals were watching the play from the sky. They were sitting on top of a cloud and were cloaked with an invisibility skill.
The three individuals were responsible for the problems and it all happened because the youngest of them was the grandson of Baron Stephen, Mars.
Mars was a young talent that had joined one of the global powers called the Myriad Beast Association. He had heard about Charles causing his family problem and wanted to help out. The helping hand would get two birds with one stone, as he would also give his father the boost needed to become the head.
It all seemed very easy since he had friends in high places and was very close to some seniors at the association. The seniors took it as a challenge and helped out.
Subduing the monsters and transporting them, everything went as planned. But, Athena’s appearance was beyond his worst nightmares.
Mars calmed his wild heart and cleared away the cold sweat from his forehead. Turning to his seniors, “We should retreat…..”
Mars tone was calm even though he was scared shitless, but his seniors seemed to be crazier than what he had expected. It seemed things were completely out of hand now.
The two seniors were called Ur and Abrax. Both of them were foreigners from one of the top powers in the world, Empire of Gold.
It was the region where the HQ of the association was located. It also meant that both individuals didn’t have the same level of respect for Athena, since she belonged to the rival pantheon.
Ur was a man of 35 with tanned skin and brown eyes along with black hair. He was a tall man with a slim build, short beard and moustache. He had sharp eyes and was dressed in pure white with dashes of gold.
He looked exotic and powerful with the golden scepter in his hand that held a sapphire orb. Ur was a tamer but he didn’t forget about his other powers. His element was water and the orb boosted his abilities.
The cloud they were riding was his creation.
Unlike Ur, Abrax was on the muscular side and was older. He didn’t wear full clothes and left his upper body bear except for the golden metallic symbols etched on the body. Finally, he also had a desert eagle tattooed on his back.
His weapon was the Khopesh, the sickle shaped sword. It was obsidian in color mostly with some gold and he had two of them.
Both of these men were followers of Montu, the Immortal of War. Athena’s appearance had awakened them from their boredom and put a fire into their heart.
They were overjoyed to come across such an occasion. They had been given the opportunity to fight against enemies that were backed by a rival pantheon.
They were full of energy, but still had their mental capacity. They knew that death would come to them if they persisted pointlessly without support of their master.
So, they only planned to fight and get a taste of such a wonder.
“Mars, thank you for bringing us here. Your debt has been repaid with this.” Ur was smiling brightly as he patted Mars. He was truly pleased by the event.
Mars felt his legs go jelly, “Senior,…please.”
Unlike the duo, he felt like dying. He was literally on the wrong side of his belief and fighting without any powerful support.
“You don’t have to participate. Wait for us, we will get you once we are done.” Abrax didn’t feel like waiting anymore and with his words, Ur separated Mars from them.
Mars was dropped outside the forest while the duo dropped few miles from the battlefield. They summoned their other partners and created a barrier of clouds and sand. Clouds formed around them like a dome and sand mixed with them. It made it impossible for others to see them or attack them. The sand and clouds were strong enough to easily block grenades and even missiles.
With the protection taken care of, they focused on the battle with Charles using their strongest monsters.
Ur’s strongest beast was the Royal Guard called H while Abrax’s strongest monster was the Grinder Worm called Mott.
Both Tamers synced with their beasts, allowing them full control and even adding their own energy to their partner’s energy.
Charles Inferno Bull Charge was an exceptional attack for a Knight living in a village, and would have required H to dodge it. That is, if he was a Wild beast and wasn’t Ur’s partner.
The fact that the strongest move was taken care of easily should have decided the battle, but that was not the truth anymore.
Ur and Abrax were unsure how much stronger their enemies had gotten after the boost, but they had been weakened by at least 20%.
‘I will take the Red Knight.’ Ur communicated with Abrax.
Abrax looked at the battlefield through his Ki vision and through his motion sensors. Usually, he would take the strongest but this day he was rearing to try the group.
The group was given blessing by an immortal, so it wasn’t fodder anymore.
‘Fine’ Abrax replied and without much hesitation, he dived into the battle.
Charles was completely satisfied at the moment and held no worry about the situation or the people. He was actually feeling relaxed and curious, as he was seeing some new monsters. He had never seen both these creatures since the Royal Guard was only found in High ranking places like the Forest of Death and the worm was found in an another country.

Nonetheless, he wished to fight the stronger beast. H was faster and overall better than Mott, even without their individual master’s addition.
“Noah, take care of the worm. I will handle the Wasp.” Charles muttered as he commanded Noah to take control of the group and face Mott while he faced H.
“Understood!” Noah replied with joy and excitement as his son was chosen by Athena. His fears and worries had been blown away.
With that shout, Noah took hold of his large blade and faced the huge monster with 25 warriors while Edward stood back with 25 warriors to provide support to Charles and Noah.
Charles felt the energy inside his body recharge and grow. He felt stronger. He felt he was at least twice his real strength.
The boost given by an immortal was truly a miracle. It was truly unfair for their foes, since the enemy wasn’t just weakened but Charles group also had protection.
“I don’t know who you are. But, you will pay for what you have done.” Charles spoke as he walked towards his foe.
H didn’t respond to his words and didn’t really care about them either. Having observed the changes, H started the game. The battle was a game since they didn’t intend to fight till death.
H was a Wasp that was humanoid and its body was equipped with golden armor. It specialized in speed and power, but the defensive power wasn’t bad either. The golden armor was made from an alloy of special metal called Gold Mithril and Tungsten.
It was strong enough to withstand low level attacks without a scratch and allowed H to brush off missile level damage.
H made the first move. He released a sound attack that was only focused on Charles. It was potent enough to shatter metal but it didn’t even break through the protective cover given by Athena.
Just as the attack hit Charles, he retaliated by throwing knives clad in flames. The two knives shot out like bullets and burned with intensity.
Regardless, they were too slow and weak. H blocked them casually with his plasma blade and unleashed a flame slash at Charles.
There was a distance of 5 meters between the combatants, but the attack arrived instantly. Nonetheless, Charles countered it.
He would have never been able to perceive it normally, but the power boost had allowed him such an opportunity. Charles matched the attack with his own attack. Boosting his body with Inferno Bull strengthening technique made his body reach monstrous levels. Without boosting his body, he was able to move at mach 10 speeds and lift 100 tonnes. With the boost, he moved at mach 50 speeds and could lift 2000 tonnes.
That was his real range and now he had been given blessing, so he reached mach 100 and could lift 5000 tonnes. This new level of power had allowed Charles to feel closer to the next rank and given him insight to improve his abilities.
Following the body boost, Charles clad his fist in flames.
Flame burst
He punched the attacking come at him and cancelled it out. Charles didn’t stop there and spun with his hammer, causing a cyclone of flames to form.
Charles expected H to move towards him next, so the cyclone was to counter the next move and he was right.
H planned to start the close combat next since he had confirmed the range of the protection. With the cyclone in the way, H had almost flown into a smashing hit.
Charles was spinning at full speed, mach 100, and using flames to his full capacity. The cyclone had grown in size quickly but didn’t damage his people. Charles had confirmed that the blessing had somehow made it possible for followers to brush off his attacks.
Such an intense move would have pulled all of them into his attack and crushed them, but now none of them even felt it.
It allowed Charles to fight without a single worry of friendly fire.
The intense attack destroyed everything in the way and pulled H towards it. But, the foe easily flew out of the range.
The powerful move made H happy and he didn’t take the easy way out. He could easily wait for Charles to stop, but he decided to compete directly.
Boosting his physique, H locked on to his target. Flames gathered in front of him, forming a circle while his body was also burning up.
H shot out like a cannon ball through the flame circle with his plasma blades in front of him. His body spun while flying towards Charles.
He was like a flame bullet that was shot in to the cyclone. Both attacks collided instantly; the brief impact was forceful and destructive. The impact deepened the crater that was the battlefield and released shockwaves.
Nonetheless, H overpowered Charles attack and pushed through. Charles was enjoying the power rush but never let it get to his head.
He expected his foe to overpower him and followed with his next move that he had been brewing since the cyclone started.
Charles had been spinning on his left leg while his right leg was being charged with his finisher. The moment H collided with him; Charles followed it with his kick.
Infernal Impact
The flames had reached a range that Charles had never seen with the help of the boosted cyclone and the force behind had also gone to a new horizon.
The flame kick slammed into H’s chest and sent him flying in to the sky. The force was so intense that he dropped his blades and his mind was shaken for a moment.
His body reached the clouds instantly while the armor had been damaged. It felt like he was about to fly out of the planet but regained his bearing and stopped his body.
H looked incredulous as he hadn’t expected such a move. He had been looking down on Charles and treating him like a toy.
H felt anger but didn’t blame Charles. He accepted that his foe wasn’t a low skilled warrior and that he had made a blunder.
‘Not bad, he is a good fighter. Those were some good moves.’ H commented as he checked his body for the damage. He had almost been taken out and the body was moderately damaged, while the armor was useless.
‘The power of immortals is truly great!’ H smiled as he looked down towards his foe and made blades of flames that shot towards Charles.
H flew behind the blades and commanded his Plasma blades to attack at the last moment.
Charles expected as such since it was a basic combat tactic.
Inferno bull smash
Charles focused on his war hammer, forming a flaming bull on it and swung it upward. The hammer flew from his hand towards H while he created a barrier of flames to block the Plasma blades.
H dodged the hammer and formed chains of flames around Charles. The chains moved extremely fast and coiled around Charles once the plasma blades broke the barrier.
H charged his energy and flew into the sky before dropping like a meteor. He stopped at the last moment and swung his plasma blade that had combined into one.
The charged power with the intense speed and force hit Charles who was coiled by the chains and sent him flying outside of the forest.
Charles quickly stopped his flight as the protection had guarded him from any serious damage. He didn’t go too far and looked at his surroundings.
The region was trashed and they might even destroy the village, if they continued. He needed to finish it before that happened.
Focusing on his heart, Charles unleashed his innate ability.
Inferno Berserker
He entered a berserk state that dramatically increased his stats while damaging his body and mind from the increase in power.
But, that wasn’t all. Charles went even further. He felt it inside his heart that the day was perfect for everything.
He had been working on a technique and he believed it would work at the moment.
Inferno Bull Mode
Flames covered his armor and Charles body bulked up while the flames became another layer of skin in the shape of the inferno Bull.
Charles power went through another layer of change and made him arrive on another realm. Just his mere presence was crushing everything around him and the air was burning, turning everything to ash.
He was unable to control the huge power and in a normal state, he would have blown up.
The new state shocked H and he was left flabbergasted.
‘He isn’t normal.’ H finally recognized that Charles wasn’t normal, as his father was a crazy bastard that had utilized forbidden techniques on him and almost killed him.
H didn’t hold back and unleashed tornadoes of flames with a flap of his wings. The tornadoes formed on all four directions around Charles and rushed towards him while H charged up his finisher.
But, that wasn’t to be.
Charles moved like lightning and smashed through everything. He was unable to control his charge and destroyed almost half of H’s body.
H crashed to the ground as his left side disappeared from the sudden impact. He was lucky that his heart wasn’t destroyed.
Without hesitation, he blocked the blood from flowing out and closed the wound while flying into the sky.
Retreat was the only goal on his mind.
