I stepped out of the house with a heavy heart. I didn't want to fight using a dagger of all things but then again, I also did fight with my fists before the sword didn't I? None of that will matter if I get the chance of taking my sword back though.
Yes, my sword. It's mine now according to the laws of cultivators.
I slowly made my to the spot where I knew I left my sword, the blizzard is now gone so I don't have as much cover as I'd liked. Learning that I can actually survive the blizzard produced by myself had been great, the only real problem that I have with it is that I had to learn it by walking through a literal hellscape while clutching my broken arms.
I was fine in the end, of course, but it still sucked.
While I was stuck in my own thoughts pondering about my problems and the negative things in my life, I stumbled my way back to my sword and... "...How the hell am I gonna carry this?" is that even a proper question? The sword in front of me (which I'm sure is mine by the way,) is a hilt and pommel with a literal pillar of ice in the end.
I was happy that it retained the shape of the sword and looking at the sharp edge that dug through the ground, I can at least tell that it's sharp but it's just too big.
I sighed and sat right next to my abandoned weapon. Gently, I started caressing the hilt, "I'll miss you, you know?" I said while staring at the weapon and I was about to continue my goodbye speech when I heard a ding resound right next to me-
I whipped my head back and came eye to eye with another ninja. The eyes visible through the slit in his mask narrowed and he jumped down from his spot. He walked forward slowly but I could feel the sense of danger that's starting to thicken around the two of us, unlike the last guy, this one wielded a simple club but the way he held the blunt weapon from the base made him look even more dangerous.
"Are you the one who did-" I didn't waste the opportunity he gave me and charged, Qi was already on my feet the moment that I saw him so I was pretty fast. I got close and stabbed, then he suddenly raised his club and blocked my dagger. He stared at it and then met my eyes, "I see,"
"Fuck." I said aloud before he pulled his club back and tried to hit me but I didn't let him, I pushed forward regardless of the danger and tried to give him another stab.
As expected, this type of invader is just so much more dangerous than everything else because my enemy didn't even hesitate to block my stab with his hand. I looked up and stared him in the eye, his look held no pity.
He swung his club and I jumped away. I looked at his hand and the dagger stuck there, please work. PLEASE WORK. I prayed.

I felt him circulate his Qi as he pulled the dagger out and I don't know what came over me in the next moment but instead of trying to take advantage of the fact that I just know he's poisoned, I turned around and started running away. My brain told me that I just wasted an opportunity but a small part of it managed to convince me that he wasn't poisoned.
He already saw the dagger you moron! I internally yelled at myself, He wouldn't try to block it with his hand if he knew what it did.
Or would he? I briefly thought and reasoned that I was aiming for his heart but I shook my head and put all that behind me. It's gone and there's no use thinking about it.
I turned left and crashed into a random hut, one that had small pieces of ice covering the surface of its wall. I felt proud that my blizzard even reached this far but I had no time because I started doing the first form of the Fist of Death. I don't know if it'll work twice, but I hoped it will.
I took a deep breath and circulated my Qi, my feet swept sideward and I pulled back my arm. With the stance now done, I closed my eyes and listened, there was no sound but my sense of touch caught something strange, a soft breeze inside a completely blocked room, the breeze is everywhere but it had a spot where it's the most prominent. To my left-
I punched and quickly pulled back when a sword threatened to slice my arm from the elbow down. The blade changed direction and I had to take a step to the side, then it changed again and I was forced to jump a few meters away.
I stared at the ninja. Did I really wish to fight people like this?
I ducked away from a blow to the head and thought that I really wanted to go back to the loudmouth, typical XianXia cultivators now!
I threw my arm up in an attempt to predict where the guy's wrist would be and I lost hope for a split second before I managed to make contact with skin. Pain electrocuted my entire right arm when I pushed Qi into it but the resulting pull that I got for doing so made it all worth it.
The head of my enemy got close to my face, we stared at each other, knowing what our circumstances are. He was halfway through falling while I am completely stable and upright.
I headbutted him.
A grunt, but I wasn't satisfied, I pulled my head back and did it again, my forehead met his lips and the tip of his nose. Blood spilled but the guy didn't seem down. Hell, he looked fine while he enhanced the arm that I'm holding and pulled back with much more force than me.
It was my turn to get pulled and headbutted and like some sort of sick yo-yo, he pulled me back in and did it for the second time, and the third, then the fourth-
I raised my leg and kicked him in between the legs. His body bent forward then I grabbed him by the hair and headbutted him. I pulled my left hand back and enhanced it with Qi, "bye,"
The simplest and first form of my palm strike hit him straight in the face and he was sent flying.
I don't know what's gonna happen to him but since I felt ice form on his face, it's probably not pretty. Even, the guy stood up and stared at me with frostbitten eyes. He grabbed his club in a batter's hold and lifted it up, then, while the club is glowing and enhanced with his Qi, he struck the ground with it and the earth shook.
"Good try," I said. I didn't even stumble from that.
I moved closer to him and the man looked resigned. I stared, hesitating. But only for a second before I grabbed him by the neck and started squeezing.
It was creepy, the way he just hang from my hand without reacting, he was just there, motionless until the life was wrung out of him and he died from getting choked.
