“Of course, she refused… I was a mere stranger. I was just a moron trying to fill the agonizing emptiness. Ah… I really was annoying now, wasn’t I? Calliope… I wanted to keep you close, I wanted that so much, but I failed you… I failed everyone… They accepted that I am such a fool, they loved you as much as me… I’m a fool, damned moronic fool…”
“Who are you talking about? Who did you fail? Who were they…?”
“They were… They were my family… They were… I don’t know anymore, everything is just pitch black, I want to remember their faces, their smiles… I want it all back… I want it! I want it! I WANT IT! I WANT IT!”
He peered into the abyss surrounding him. A familiar figure, it looked just like him yet the armor was beautiful and polished. A jet black version of himself with a red mantle. It looked down at him.
“I pity you wretch. We had all we ever wanted and you shove it all away. You drove them away. You BETRAYED EVERYONE.”
The figure kicked him to the ground. It looked at him as one would look at a mongrel.
“Traitor, I was no traitor how could you make me do such thing. You indulge in your desires, you gave in to your lust and anger, you defy all that I used to be. Of course, Calliope refused me, of course she would despise you. You killed everyone in your path, you said there was no other way… I will crush you, I will emerge once more and make everything right.”
“You say it like it’s all my fault. You were there as well, you could have forced me to stop, you just wanted to see what happens. We are both guilty my friend… For we are one and the same.”

“I am nothing like you insect. I despise that we share the same mind, I despise you very existence, I hate you… I hate you so much…”
The figure began to cry and kept muttering how much he hates him.
“We hate ourselves, but in the end that is all we can do. We will set things straight… Someday…”
“No… I will, once you disappear… Once you will recover these memories, I can finally come back.”
“What do you mean?”
“Your mind is broken. You might remember this for now, but this is just a dream… You will forget it when you wake up… I will fade away once more… But try to remember… That demon is out there, you met him. He is the one who broke us. HE IS THE ONE THAT WILL PAY! Stop sulking around and get to work."
Darkness engulfed the both of them. Only the abyss remains, a deep pit of sorrow and regret, but even in the depths of such an abyss there is a ray of light. Without darkness there would be no light, without evil there wouldn’t be any good…
The rivers of blood flow… It calls to them, the red plague… Turning water into blood, desecrating any life that it touches. The people affected by this atrocity will drink the blood to satisfy themselves. It calls demons from other planes of existence, it opens gates to a world where not even death will save you.
For thousands of years a city was affected by this plague and nobody noticed. The King calls this his home, Sanguinem Lapis.
In this city blood is the currency. They create blood stones for trade. What would they trade? Of course... slaves, weapons, armors even demons. The plague itself gave them power to enslave lower demons, even higher ones.
The city was protected by a barrier which kept unwanted attention at bay… Now there is no barrier and the city, left open, unprepared for what is to come. They are strong for the many years let them gather a high number of people, demons and weapons. Will that strength suffice?
The Order is strong, they own armies, weapons, equipment… All meaningless, the true power they wield is a special regiment… The Hounds of War.
They used to be the elite of the Nephilim armies, with the death of the king Vesper and the betrayal of Tarex they serve the Acolytes, until the day the true king returns.
