Special: The Fallen

Special: The Fallen

Once there was nothing and from the nothingness the universe appeared. Worlds took shape, yet only this one was truly blessed by God.

All kind of beings were made, from monsters to humans, they were all equal once. They were equal for the guardians looked over the world.

The Nephilims, the guardians made to defend life… To keep a balance, to be judges… They supervised all and made sure all beings would live in harmony.

Vesper the first king, he was given power over everything. He had the power to end worlds, to end evil yet he did not. As a guardian he had to keep the balance, as tempting as the power was.

For thousands of years he protected what he had to, he took the Nephilims into a remote place and created the Hushed Weald and the city of Silacet. He surrounded the forest with mountains and made sure they could live in peace. He built the city from marble and made statues to oversee it.

He knew demons will try to mess with him yet his arrogance put everything to an end. His youngest son had his mind slowly broken by the demon. Nearly all of his children fell to the demon’s tricks. His son which was born so different from all of his brothers and sisters. An easy target, slowly he fell into madness even more so than the others.

Vesper tried to stop him, but he couldn’t kill his son, he loved them too much. He was his precious little boy, he couldn’t even think about it, but Tarex…

He killed many Nephilims, he went outside the Weald and started to destroy cities, villages… He killed innocent people, kids and monsters alike. It was like a fire that couldn’t be extinguished.

Vesper made his choice, the power that was given to him by God, he will give it to Tarex in an attempt to bring him back. It helped a little for Tarex was on his knees, with his father dead at his feet. He was angry, so angry at himself for letting something like this happen. He returned to the city… Empty, devoid of any life… He sat in his father’s throne and closed his eyes.

The only thing he truly remembers is the pain in his heart for what he had done.

“What is this, WHOAAA!”

And with such simple words the King awakened.
