Zane wakes up and stretches. He takes a deep breath and sits up. He's in his room, and he remembers everything that happened yesterday. He looks around, and sees that he's alone. He was hoping to see Dre again, but he's disappointed. He gets up from his bed and walks to the door. He opens it and steps outside. He closes the door behind him and makes his way to the training grounds. He can already feel the animals waiting for him. He enters the training grounds and finds that he's able to sense the animals better today. He can tell which ones are ready for battle, and which ones are just looking for a friend.
He senses a large bear, and he knows it's one of the bears he fought last night. He also senses the cougar, and he knows it's the same one he fought. He continues about his normal training routine and heads home to rest for the night, late at night a piece of glass shatters downstairs, alerting Zane.
He immediately runs down to the ground floor and rushes into the living room. It's empty, and there are shards of broken glass everywhere. He looks around and notices a shadowed figure standing near the stairs. He hears a loud crash, and turns to look at the window.
He knows the person who broke the glass is here.
He steps towards the staircase, and the shadowy figure leaps out of the shadows. They have dual daggers and they know how to use them.
They come at Zane from both sides, and he barely manages to dodge their attacks. He moves backwards, trying to stay away from the two attackers.
The man on the left comes at Zane again, but Zane manages to dodge his attack. He then charges at the man on the right, and knocks him to the ground. The second attacker comes at Zane, but Zane dodges his attack and grabs the man's dagger. He holds the blade to the man's throat, and forces him to drop his weapon.
"Who sent you?" Zane asks.
"No one sent us! We just want to kill you!" the man yells.
"Why? Why would you want me dead?" Zane asks.
"Foolish boy" The man says, before tripping zane and rolling over and out the window. Zane grabs his katana and gives chase through the front door. Awaiting him outside were more attackers, armed to the teeth with various weapons.
"What's going on!?" Zane yells.
"We've been hired to kill you" One of the men says.

"I see..." says Zane. " His eyes glow white and he awakens his third eye, and ready's himself for combat.
The assassins charge at him, and he swings his katana in a wide arc, knocking several of the assassins back. He then swings his blade down, slicing off an assassin's arm, causing him to fall to the ground.
"This isn't good" Zane thinks to himself.
The remaining assassins surround Zane, and try to stab him. Zane uses his foot to trip one of the assassins, and then slices his neck with his katana. He continues to fight as more assassins arrive.
He fights his way to the end of the group, and then he realizes that he's surrounded by even more assassins.
Zane looks around and sees that he's completely surrounded. There's no escape, and he's outnumbered. He raises his sword and readies himself for the final assault.
The assassins begin to charge at him, but Zane jumps up onto a table and swings his sword at the charging assassins. He hits three of them, and they all fall to the ground. He then kicks another assassin in the face, sending him flying across the room.
Zane swings his sword at the remaining assassins, and he then uses his powers to send them flying. He lands on top of one of the assassins and proceeds to chop his head clean off. He then turns to the other assassin, who has been knocked unconscious.
Zane picks up the assassin's knife and slashes the man's throat. He looks around and sees that everyone is dead. He checks their bodies and finds a note written in blood.
It reads:
"Dear Zane, You're the best fighter we've ever seen. You're worth more than any amount of money. You deserve to be rich. We'll give you whatever you want, just leave this world and join us.
Sincerely,
The King of Thieves"
Zane grimaces and balls up the bloodied letter and throws it in the fireplace. He walks upstairs and goes to bed, exhausted from the long day.
In the morning, he wakes up and decides to go to work. His first priority is cleaning up the dead assassins laying in the front yard.
He takes a quick shower and then heads downstairs to get started. As he opens the front door, he's greeted by the sight of the blood-soaked letter.
He stares at the paper for a moment and then crumples it up and tosses it in the fire again.
"The hell" Zane says and keeps cleaning.
After finishing the front lawn, he goes inside and starts on the kitchen.
He then hears a knock at the door.
"Yes?" Zane answers.
Dre and his wife returns the following morning to find the mass grave Zane buried the bodies in. Zane explains the situation and Dre looks relieved.
"The King of Thieves huh?" Dre says.
"That's what I said" Zane replies.
" That's interesting, that's a name I haven't heard in a very long time" Dre says.
"Yeah, I think I might have a lead on who hired those guys" Zane says.
"Good, let's talk" Dre says.
Zane and Dre sit down at the table and start talking about the case.
"So, what did you do to piss off the King of Thieves?" Dre asks.
"Nothing really, he just wants to kill me" Zane replies.
"Yeah you're right, he's always had a grudge against me. It seems my secret apprentice has been found out, I knew it'd be a matter of time before you were discovered." Dre says.
"Well, I'm glad I can help" Zane says.
The two clean up the house and fix the kitchen window before turning in for the night.
