Floor 32

"Run! Selvia, run! I'll hold them off!"

"No! Damian, you can't! You can't face them all alone!" Selvia cried, her voice filled with despair. "Go, I'll be right behind you!"

Running away, the woman with blond hair, blue eyes, and the face of an angel, who indeed was an Angel of the DEMI-GOD rank, clutched a child who looked no older than a few months. The child had black irises and white eyes that seemed to glow in the night, with gray hair to match. As she ran, carrying the child, Selvia started to cry because she knew Damian was lying.

With resolve, she quickly put the child to sleep with a spell, then started casting a Tier 5 spell, True Invisibility. After entering a cave, she finally stopped and canceled her spell. She put the child down, trying to wipe the tears from her cheeks. She looked lovingly at her baby boy.

"Lucian. I think I'll name you Lucian."

Quickly, she pulled a few items out of a small blue portal that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. These items were very expensive; Damian had bought them at an auction held by a mysterious witch on Floor 35. First, she picked up one of the items, a necklace with a pendant that had both a smiling and a sad face. It was a sealing item. Placing it around her son's neck, a system message appeared.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

*Ding!*

*Would you like to use the (semi)legendary item Seal of Incognito?*

"Yes!"

*Please choose what to seal away.*

"Seal my son's race. Make him look like an ordinary human and seal any possible racial skills he might have."

*Understood.*

*Warning! It is detected that the item is not permanent. Maximum estimated duration: 15 years.*

"I wanted the seal to break when he was 18, but it seems the item is damaged."

Picking the next item, an inheritance bracelet, she explained aloud to herself. It holds a voice recorder, various information about the tower, and also one of her and his father's classes. Setting the timer to 15 years and putting it on her son's arm, the item seemingly disappeared.

It would seem they were prepared and knew their son would be in danger. Finally, she held the last item in her trembling hands. Looking into her son's eyes for the last time, she couldn't help but shed a few tears.

"I'm sorry, my child. Please forgive your mother and father for the sin they have committed."

Finally, she broke the item.

*Ding!*

*Would you like to use the World Traversing Token?*

With tears in her eyes, she managed to utter, "Yes."

*Ding!*

*Please select the world type:*

Various options appeared before her. She chose to send her son to a planet that consisted of various races so that once the time comes, he wouldn't be badly discriminated against. It was also pretty far away and had almost zero influence from the various factions in the tower. The planet also harbored the region of Midgard. Finalizing her option:

*Ding!*

*Options confirmed. Beginning the transfer!*

A beam of light appeared, sending her son away.

"Goodbye, my son. My Lucian."

Suddenly, her tears dried as a serious expression replaced her sadness. She left the cave, searching for her husband.
