Dear reader,
Hello and welcome.
Thank you for reaching the end of my story.
It’s been a long time coming and frankly I feel like I’ve rushed it in many places – but I feel like that no matter how many times I rewrite.
The adventures of all the characters you’ve seen are not over yet.
Luckily the story world I’ve created allows for anything to happen. Please let me know what you want to see. I want to try a murder mystery. It’s my favourite genre, getting into the mind of a killer. Building layers and layers of suspense that leaves you wondering when the seemingly unstable construction will all topple over… Tugging at a single thread and finding you are unravelling a web of lies in which everyone seems to be ensnared in some way…
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
But that’s neither here nor there.
What did you think of the direction the story took?
What would you wish for?
Can you figure out what the final wish was?
Did you learn anything about the world we live in?
Did you learn anything about yourself?
Did you learn anything about how to think, fight, sacrifice, dedicate and live better?
I hope the answers to some of those questions are ‘yes’ in a positive sense.
That’s the power of storytelling.
If I managed to get a ‘yes’, that to me means that I can do this for a living. Changing people’s lives with stories.
Otherwise I’ll be forced to accept that I’m fated to change people’s lives with my engineering (or teaching!) degree…
‘So I lay down my pen for now and pray that I may pick it up again soon.’
Yours sincerely,
Michael Kim
