Chapter 16 – Siola and Her

Magical orb said to be containing the protection of dragon.

“Did it leave this for me? How sweet.”

‘Back when it was a game, it’d give me a prompt if I wish to consume something like this.’

Siola put her palm on its surface, and it’s burning.

“Mmm…”

It continuously does so until she felt somewhat uncomfortable by it and by then, she couldn’t even retract her hand from it.

“Gahahk…”

The orb dropped to the ground disappear into thin air, leaving red palm

“Ouchie.”

‘Let’s see… new abilities I haven’t seen before.’

‘It’s a bit odd that a Priest— Saint, can conjure an undead, but since it’s summoned, it’s probably okay. Probably just a spectral or something. Considering it’s special—”

“Oww, it burns.”

Oddly shaped runes are carved on her palm. It’s oddly, eerie.

“Let’s see it.”

“Shock Lash.”

Electric whip appears and wielded in the palm of her hand but soon, a fiery red flame imbued into the whip, blending into it in fusion.

“Hohh, amazing.”

“I’ll have to thank the dragon the next time I see it. Or maybe not considering this is its way of gratitude. Anyway, are there any treasures in here?”

Further at the back, she found a single well-ornated chest.

“Ohohoho.”

‘Reminds me of my past.’

Expecting to see golds and treasures, she found only one of them.

* Undeath Necklace / Legendary / Greatly increases INT and MP. Conjure an undead dragon priest at the cost HP. All undead minions have extra HP.

“Heresy!”

“These vile items shall be disposed!”

“…”

“Except for the fact that I don’t know how to dispose of them. And I shall not let anyone touch them either!”

Making her smiles, “Back then, I used to have someone who would take it from me.”

“…”

“Oh wait.”

‘I remember that I have that thing.’

Upon willing it, a mini portal opens up and she stores every time in the chest to that.

“There. It is now… disposed!”

‘It’s basically Inventory now that I think of it. I should use it more often.’

“Alright then. Onto the fun part of dungeon conquest.”

“BACKTRACKING!”

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

“WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!”

And thus, the second round of undead turning into ashes began once again. Like blinding flashes upon flashes as a shout of “Sacred Wrath” and “Divine Smite” were heard by the undead.

Eventually, she starts seeing other adventurers of which she pays no mind to. Although, there are only a few of them at this time.

‘Hmm… I entered sometime in the afternoon. I wonder how long I’ve been in.’

“There you are,” a dagger to her neck, “You little piece of shit.”

A familiar voice. Siola smiles as turned to see the furious Lyra.

“Oh hey, fancy meeting you here.”

“Don’t fancy me. You’ve been in the dungeon for too long, that woman Vanya starts pressing me to find you even though she could’ve just gone by herself!”

“But still,” Lyra retracted her dagger, “Somehow, you look… different.”

Siola looking at her sincerely, “I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“Let’s get back. Boy I’m hungry.”

Lyra follows without questioning her any further. Upon leaving floor 7 and the dungeon itself, Siola found out how long she has been in the dungeon.

“Huh, it’s… morning already.”

“Over here.”

Siola guides her to a tent where two bunny rabbits reside with their mother feeding them. She then sees Siola and Lyra returning.

“Siola, you’re… you’re okay.”

Lowering her body to pet the rabbits, “Yes, sorry it took quite a while.”

“Mm. I’m glad nothing happened… or is it? What’s that on your forehead?”

Brows raised, “What?” feeling it, “My forehead?”

“Some sort of marking…”

‘Marking?’

‘Ahh.’

“It’s a sigil. What does it look like.”

“Hmm, it looks like a bird. It has its wings sort of closed together. And there’s a… sun?”

“It’s the sigil of the Divine Order, you fool.”

“Shut it, elf, I know! I’m just describing it to her. Wait, doesn’t that mean, you’re Armalia’s champion?”

She stood, “Not yet.”

“Eh, not… yet?”

“Like I said, I’m on a pilgrimage. We’re done here. So, let’s get to Hikanda town.”

“Wait.” Said Lyra.

“Before we resume, there’s someone you have to meet.”

With a brow raised from both Siola and Vanya, they went to follow Lyra in the other part of the encampment where a wooden building resides. It’s guarded by a few what seems to be thugs.

“Oi oi oi, dark elf lady bringing in some fresh meat and a cow.”

“Kekekekeke, welcome back, Lady Lyra.”

“Scrounger inside?”

“Why, yes. Of course, my Lady. But what about those two?”

Approaching Siola with his face close, “Yeeeah, lookin’ tasty.”

Eyes at the delicate part of her as he started to drool. Vanya was ready to snapped but then Siola open her palm at him.

“Huh?”

“Purification.”

All eyes widened at the sign of light descending from the sky, cleansing the man.

“What a beautiful sunlight. What is this. Ahh, I feel blessed.”

“Wha? Brother?! Hey, what did you to im?”

“S-Siola, was that really… purification?”

“Yes.”

The man suddenly becomes lucid, “Oh, right. Lady Lyra, let me guide you to the boss.”

She nods. The gang follows while the brother of the purified man stands outside with his jaw dropped, shocked at how polite his brother has become.

“Still, I can’t believe you can use such miracle.”

“Why, is it that strong? It looks like she just made him sober.”

“You elves lives so much longer than us humans and you’re still ignorant enough to not know that Purification is an incredibly important miracle that can cure both curses and anomalies. Poisons, illness, even wounds that have been purified will heal at a much faster rate.”

“And you probably don’t know that only Arch Priest can use it.”

“So, it’s a heal and cure spell combined, got it.”

“You,,,”

The two soon arrive at a double door. Despite the questionable guards standing outside, the space inside is relatively clean albeit somewhat minimalistic. Two women, one is standing.

“Oh, that’s the merchant we got the rabbit from.”

“Right.”

The one seated is different in stature. Similar to Lyra, a dark-skinned woman who is muscular. Except for the fact that she is a human. Body is full of scars and a missing eye.

“Yo, Lyra, that the girl you talked about?”

“A bit different than what you told me though.”

“She’s the one, Scrounger.”

“Well, have a seat for now. Siola, right?”

“Yes, ma’am!”

Both Lyra and Vanya were shocked at Siola’s energetic and questionably respectful tone.

“So, you got Lyra beat and is about to turn Clearwater upside down.”

Vanya raises her brows, “Clearwater upside… what did she mean, Siola?”

“You didn’t know? Ooo, that’s bad.”

“Secrecy between party members often lead to their downfall. I know that all too well.”

“Siola?”

There is no change on her joyful expression, “It’s complicated, Madam Vanya. Though it is indeed possible that I will be the one responsible for it. Hench why…”

“We have to make haste to Hikanda Town.”

“Stop with the Madam. Just… what happened exactly?”

“Well, your friend here turned some people into very problematic undead. Soon, every single person in clearwater would be eating each other out mindlessly.”

“What?”

“No, that’s impossible. Siola is a Priest. How can she—”

“Oh, that’s the neat part. The reason why I wanted to talk to her.”

All eyes looking at Siola.

Sighing, “Conveniently leaving out the fact that I was surrounded by Mad Dead fanatics and had to defend myself somewhat. Nonetheless, I’m here on Lyra’s request. So, why am I here?”

“Well first, my name’s Ragna. This here is Elara Windsong. I think it’s best if she explains it herself.”

The woman bows slightly at Siola, and she returns it.

“The Windsong family is looking for promising warriors to join its military ranks. Your friend Lyra is exactly the person we need.”

“However, she told us that she is unable to join us due to a curse that was put on her. Presumably by you.”

“Ohh, right, you did say that before.”

“Yes, and I want it removed.”

“So, you brought me here to what? Relinquish control over my body?”

“The last time I did, immortal undead shows up and Lyra got beat up so bad, I had to spent all night healing her.”

Ragna says, “Should be different now. No one’s here gonna harm you.”

“That is correct. We simply want to convince the other you to lift her curse.”

“W-Wait wait wait,” Vanya’s head spinning, “What do you mean the other her?”

“You shall see soon enough, Madam.”

“That is, if she is willing to.”
