Ch. 4 A dungeons Debut pt. 4
Shane’s party was cautious of the dangers of a newly formed dungeon. This dungeon didn’t have any lighting, so they would be forced to use their own light source. Alex cast a simple light spell and then an orb of light flew to be above Shane. Then they looked to advance into the depths of the dungeon. Their formation was with Shane at as the lead do to his experience in dealing with dungeons being the highest among the group. Next was Ellie, as she was equipped with a short sword and shield, she would be able to back Shane up should anything unexpected happen. Walter whom uses a bow drew out a dagger, staying close to Alex in case they encountered an ambush.
Thus they headed deeper into the cave-like interior, the entryway to the next room was a more narrow formation that allowed for two people at a time to travel through. Thus the party advances in pairs of two. Advancing into the next room, the light slowly reveals a fox crouched and growling.
Shane motions with his hands, signaling to stay put. He then approaches the fax after drawing his two-handed ax. With no other creature in sight, as well as this being a low-leveled dungeon, this was going to be a straightforward fight. Both he and the fox charged forth.

Shane swung his ax at the fox as is jumped towards him. Despite being a veteran of many battles, he didn’t see through the fox’s attack. While he was still in the back swing the fox seemed to cough outward a ball of flame. Shane was struck on the chest by the flame and staggers backwards from the shock of the attack. He walked backwards, patting at his chest to remove the flames, which vanished quite quickly.
As Shane retreated, the fox tried to once more assult him, but was stopped by a round metal shield. As the fox collided with her shield, Ellie swung her arm forward, causing the fox to be sent flying. Before it could get up, Ellie stabbed it with her short sword, ending the fight. Ellie then went to dismantle the fox.
“What was with that flame attack!?” Walter exclaimed as the fight ended, “since when could a fox do that!” “Walter calm down, it’s nothing we can’t handle. Don’t forget, this is still a fledgling dungeon. And while there was some surprises, it seems to be a beast dungeon. Now let’s get through this.”
After passing 3 more rooms encountering one other fox, they have arrived at the core room. They saw a final fox. Before the fox even had a chance to attack, Alex cast stone spike. A stone spike rose up and stabbed through the final fox. “Now that that’s finished, let’s leave the dust and go.” Alex said indifferently. Shane took out the bag of powder and placed it under the green crystal that was the dungeon core and they left the dungeon.
