Prologue

This is my first FanFic, so I hope you guys like it, I am an ESL student so I think there will be a lot of mistakes that I made. If you can, please correct my grammar or words that are misspelled.

I am a passive learner, I can read and hear a conversation without a problem, but I had a lot of problems when I was asked to write or speak in English, I memorized all tenses but for some reason I find it hard to use it when writing or speaking, I didn’t even know, lf what I write right now are grammatically correct or not. Please don’t go easy on me because I have to improve my writing skil.

Erica Silverwood was walking through a park, it was a beautiful day with blue sky without a cloud, the wind was blowing gently and the sound of birds chirping in the morning that makes the hearts of those who hear it to be peaceful, without realizing it, she began to sing accompanied by the chirping of the birds, with melodious voice and beautiful melodies she attracted the attention of several students who happened to be going to the same school through the park.

"Hey, do you know who that little girl?"

"I don’t know, I’ve never seen her before

“But she's wearing our school uniform.”

“Maybe she is a first year."

There were some senior students who deliberately slowed their steps to listen to her songs and some even used their mobile phone to record a video of her who was singing.

Erica was a 16 -year -old teenage girl, with height 124cm, smooth white skin, a straight beautiful knee-length silver hair , blue eyes, and a really pretty face, she looked like a fairy. Because of her small frame, many people thought that she was an elementary school student.

After she finished singing she heard someone clapping behind her, she turned around and found a girl with shoulder-length brown hair, green eyes and wearing the same school uniform as her.

"You are really good at singing."

"....."

"....."

“Hey, say something.“

“.....”

It wasn’t that Erica did not want to talk, she was not the type of person who liked to talk, she spoke only as needed, even if she wanted to talk, she didn’t know what to talk to a stranger.

"Ah, sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Anna Wintersand, you can call me Anna."

"Erica, Erica Silverwood." In a soft voice Erica introduced herself .

"I'm sorry if I surprised you, I was fascinated by your beautiful singing voice and I involuntarily applauded."

“No, it's okay, I'm also singing without realizing it.”

"How can you sing without you realizing it?"Anna looked confused.

"I just knew that I was listening to the birds that were chirping and without realizing it I began to sing." Erica also seemed confused.

"Ha ha ha ha, this is the first time I heard of anyone who could do that."

"....."

"So, if I'm not mistaken your uniform, it looks like we're in the same school and in the same year."

"....."

"You didn’t seem the type who likes to talk."

"....."

"I was in class 1-C, what about you?"

"1-S."

Anna's eyes widened when she heard Erica was in class 1-S. "Not only beautiful and good at singing but also a genius."Anna looked at her with awe.

Special class or more commonly known as class 1-S was a class for gifted children, the material taught in this class were several times higher than that taught in the regular class.

When Erica was 4 years old, she was able to read and write well, She often went to her father’s study room to read books for hours, her father once asked her if she understood all the contents of the books, she told her father that she didn’t quite understand the contents of the books she had read, but she memorized everything, her father didn’t believe that she had memorized everything so he gave her a few questions about some of the contents ot the books and she answered all the questions exacty as were written in the books, at that moment her father realized that she had the ability to memorized all that she had seen before even though she had only saen it for a moment (this ability was called photographic memory).

They both walked to school when they heard some students talked about a game,“Did you watch this morning news?”

“You mean the news about Royal Road.”

Royal Road was an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that was developed by Unicorn Corporation, this game was different from the usual MMORPG because this game sytem used a new Virtual Reality (VR) technology with 99% reality and you used a capsule to play this game,the players could use their five senses just like in the real world, this game will be launched today.

“I want to buy a capsule this morning so I called Unicorn and ordered a capsule but they said that the entire stock sold out, so I’ll have to wait till next month to get my hands on that game.” Anna looked disappointed.

Erica actually already had a capsule in her room , she got it even before the Unicorn announced the launch of Royal Road, this was because she was the largest shareholder in Unicorn, so even though she did not ask for it, Unicorn would gsve her one automatically.

It all started 10 years ago, when Erica was 6 years old, she competed in a jigsaw puzzel competiton, she won and got the prize money of $ 1 million, with the prize money she bought a new laptop and kept the rest of the money in the bank, when she got home, she tried to open some websites with her new laptop, after opened a few websites, she found a stock market site, she had read a book on economcs in her father’s study room before, so she understood what a stock market site was and tried to buy shares of the Unicorn which at that time had just formed, due to low stock price she bought almost all stocks owned by Unicorn.

Erica parents found out that she bought the shares when Unicorn contacted her and asked her to come to the annual shareholders' meeting, she could manage her share without the help of anyone, but this time she had to attend the annual meeting of shareholders, in the end she asked her mother to represent her to attend the meeting, since that day her mother became her secretary.

It had been 10 years since then, Unicorn turned into the biggest gaming company in the world and Erica became the richest teenage girl in the world,

Erica and Anna walked to school while discussing about Royal Road (Actually the one who talked the most was Anna) until they reached the school, Anna said goodbye to Erica and promised to have lunch with her.

After school Erica didn’t go straight home but she went to Unicorn headquarters first, her mother told her to come because she had to took care some documents before Royal Road was launched.

Even though her mother became her secretary and helped manage her stake in Unicorn, she still had to do some paperwork that required her approval, she worked for several hours, when she finished, she realized that it was time for dinner, her mother took her to nearby reataurant, after that they went straight home,

Erica wanted to return to her room, she was walking to her room when her mother told her to took a bath before went into the capsule, she took a bath and changed into her pajamas after that she went into the capsule which was located beside her bed.
