I will clear some misunderstanding :

First, Aria didn't and never pretend to be an NPC, the other players thought that way because the other NPCs treated her like one and told the other players that she was an NPC, Aria NEVER said or pretended to be an NPC.

Second, Aria gave the quest to Van just because she wanted to test if she could give a quest to players, Aria didn't know that Van and the others also treated her like an NPC and no one told her that, she only realized that after Van asked for a quest.

Third, Aria didn't pretend to be a newbie, she was a real newbie, RR was her first game, she never played any game before. and she even spent almost all of her game time just to read books, if you ask why she could fight then the answer is she had learned and mastered Jujitsu and Aikido in Real World, it was her real combat skill, experience, and talent in martial arts.

Fourth, the only thing that Aria wanted to hide was her absurd/insane stats and class, the game was released about 2 months and 1 week, how could there was a player with that kind of absurd stats? And also when Aria tested Van, she only use 1/100 of her stats to hide her real stats and didn't hide her true combat skills from real world.
