George rolled his eyes before kicking Lu Bu in the face, "Don't waste our time Lu Bu! Info! Now!" He shouted.
Lu Bu got back up with a bruised face and stared at George before putting on his suit properly, "I don't know how I can help you." He replied.
"I already told you, don't play with us! You better get that mouth rolling, or we'll roll your dead body off the hill!" Major Ivan Sharp stepped in and grabbed Lu Bu's collar.
"I said I don't know how I can help you! I have no idea who gave me the money! I always got instructions through messages and emails, never even calls." Lu Bu replied quickly, seeing that they misunderstood what he said.
"That can't be true... How did you first get to this kind of business?" Major Ivan asked.
Lu Bu looked at the floor and bit his lips, "Uhm, I don't know the exact date but, it was when I was using one of the laptops given by the UN, and I just got a message ordering me to do something, to change a certain number in the budget files... And uhm, shortly after that I received about 2 million dollars and was promoted to where I am now." He said before looking back at them.
Major Ivan sighed and closed his eyes before looking back at Lu Bu, "That's really convenient." He said before looking away. "We are never gonna get to the bottom of this aren't we?" He asked.
"I think I might know who the person might be..." He said while looking at them.
Interested, the three of them got closer to Lu Bu, with Major Ivan being the closest, "Who?" He asked.
"Whoever this person might be, he is certainly a high-ranking official for the UN, it might even be the secretary-general." He replied.
"That's a very bold claim, son. Those guys in the UN don't take that kind of statement very lightly." Major Ivan laughed before he stopped and stared at Lu Bu, "But what makes you say that?" He asked.
"Well, first thing, in the office that I work at, we deal with highly secretive files, and we send, receive, and dispose of them. And because we deal with private information, we don't use the internet." Lu Bu stated, but before he could complete his sentence, Major Ivan interrupted.
"What? Bluetooth? Radio waves?" Major Ivan tried guessing.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Lu Bu shook his head, "No, we use something called UNICS; it stands for United Nations Internet Connection System, and hacking is basically impossible unless you have a key, which is about a few million digits that only the highest-ranking UN official has, and only they could send me the message. And also, whatever we do use UNICS is being monitored by a team. So it is safe to assume, that there might be more criminals involved." He said.
"That's a long-ass information to process, son. And why are you so open about sharing this information?" Major Ivan asked, suspicious about the information that Lu Bu gave.
"I swear to all the money I have. I'm telling the truth." Lu Bu replied before his eyes opened wide, "Ah! One more thing. They also send some guy in a suit, an expensive one, with a half-a-million-dollar Rolex, and a mask that emanates this light to cover his face to give me information. These guys are like the messengers." He continued.
Major Ivan nodded, "Finally, some leads." He said, turning to George and Drago, "So what should we do now?" He asked.
George shook his head, "I don't know, sir. I will follow your orders." He said.
Meanwhile, Drago was straightforward with his reply, "Kill him, we can't have him telling the UN about us. Then we go find those sons of bitches."
As Lu Bu heard this, he stood up, "Hey! I am not loyal to them; I am loyal to the money! But more importantly, I am loyal to my life. If you think that I will leak out your information, you can just send them an email, saying that I leaked out information about them, and then they'll kill me." He said as sweat drenched his shirt.
Drago raised his eyebrow, "You just gave us an important piece of information and one that could get you killed, why?" He asked.
"Do I look like I have a choice?!" Lu Bu shouted while taking out his coat to cool down.
Major Ivan stepped closer to Lu Bu and tapped his shoulders, "Don't worry, we won't kill you, not now at least. But you will have to do certain tasks." He said with a slight smile.
"What?" He asked while moving the Major's hands away from his shoulder.
"The guy, the one with the mask that emanates light, get him for me. If you can, I promise that your life will be spared forever." The Major promised.
"I can't get him, but I can bring you near him. You guys figure out how to kill him." Lu Bu replied, sounding annoyed.
Major Ivan nodded, "Fair enough." He said before turning to Drago and George, "What do you guys think?"
"As I said, sir. I will follow your orders." George said.
Drago nodded in agreement as well, "I'm fine with that. However, you must keep an eye on him. Something about him makes me think of him like a fox. A Russian fox. Cunning." He said while staring at Lu Bu.
Upon hearing their response, Major Ivan turned to Lu Bu, "You hear that? Try anything funny and it's your head."
Lu Bu grinned before turning it into a fake smile, "I've got it. Now if you will excuse me, I'll get going. The sun is setting and I need at least 8 hours of sleep to function like a normal human being." He said.
"Alright, but don't forget to give me a call when you are about to meet that guy." The Major reminded him.
Lu Bu sighed before turning to the Major for one last time before walking out of the garage door, "I told you, I've got it."
