My name was Willow and I had a nice life. I lived on a farm world with my mother and father and little sister. I spent my days helping my family farm the fields to get crops and give them to the empire as yearly taxes. Me and my family were poor but we were happy all the same.

Until one day the empire had increased the taxes and demanded more from us, since we had nothing to give they decided to take our family members instead. They said they would take us as slaves for compensation and would use us however they pleased. They took us on a ship and transported us to a lab on another planet. They said We would be used for experiments and for testing stuff that is not public yet. We were scared of what was going to happen to us and scared for each other's safety. They put us behind iron bars and locked us up until we were needed. They first experimented on my mother, and we never heard from her again. Then they took my father and I can still hear his screams. Then they took me… they had put me in a tube and filled it with a strange fluid and then I had passed out.

I had woken up and everything was blurry, all I saw were silhouettes of the scientists.

I wanted out of here, I wanted to escape and free my little sister from this nightmare.

I started scratching at the glass, kicking the glass, and slowly the glass began to grow cracks, and the scientists started to panic and run away.

The glass broke and I was left on the floor of the lab, dazed and confused I tried to get a sense of what was happening. Then I noticed that I look a lot different now, I have light brown skin color and a sharp exoskeleton with a pair of antennae and some mandibles. They had turned me into a monster, but that doesn’t matter now, I need to save my little sister and escape from this lab with her.

I started running through the hallways, trying to look for the cell that she was in. When I found the cell, All I saw was her dead malnourished body. I was immediately saddened but when I tried to cry I realised that no tears came out of my eyes.
