Chapter 7

(Haru POV)

My eyes open, and I looked up at the familiar ceiling. The first thing that entered my mind was everything yesterday just a dream? I felt some pressure on my right side and looked over to see Akari still sleeping next to me. To think it all actually happened and is truly my reality. I couldn’t be happier about that because it means I will be with Akari for the rest of my life. Something I very much need is a rock to lean on, and she does an amazing job at that.

Even though it’s only been a day since we met, but it just feels so right. Especially after we completed the imprinting, all my feelings for Akari just bloomed. There’s this extremely powerful feeling inside me to possess her. I’m sure with how I’ve understood her personality, she would be extremely happy about that. At the same time, I feel her urges towards me. Just like Akari, I’m completely content with giving myself to her. Beastkin imprinting is such a powerful thing and can get you addicted to someone.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

I slam my alarm with my hand and noticed Akari’s eyes have opened. She looks at me for a few seconds and smiles. Then she gave me a peck on my lips. This is by far my favorite morning, I’ve ever had. I’m going to have so many favorite moments from this point forward.

“Good morning Akari” I said as I kissed her back.

“Good morning Haru.” She said with a smile.

“I don’t feel like going to school and also is there even a reason anymore?” I asked.

“There is no reason to go at all besides having fun.” Akari had a wicked look on her face.

“What did you have in mind?”

“Why don’t we show everyone in this world what Beastkin are like?” She said while rubbing my ears.

“You’re saying we go to school without hiding any of our features and do whatever we want?” The idea sounds extremely thrilling.

“That’s right and during the class you call P.E. we can do some magic training.” She said with a giggle.

“I have to say the idea of that does sound enticing. But we would have to leave the city right after.”

“Do you really want to stay here any longer? Your parents pretty much said last night they choose their career over your safety.”

“That’s a great point, but don’t we still have to stay for a few more days before we can go to your world?”

“It’s not necessary; I have everything we need in my ring. We can live anywhere for a while and not have to worry about food or water. It’s the perks of being a princess.” She winked at me with a chuckle.

“Awesome, let’s get dressed, and head out.”

Akari knew a spell called clean that she used on our clothes from yesterday. They were the perfect things to wear for our display today. I really liked my Akari shirt, and she smirks every time she looks at it. My parents were nowhere to be seen; when we were leaving the house it was probably for the best. We decided to wear our hoodies and take them off just before entering school. There was no need to get unwanted attention before we entered the campus.

Arriving in the front of the school Akari and I look at each other nodding. I take off my hoodie and give it to her to throw back into her ring. We clasp each other’s hand and walk into school. My body had made quite an interesting change last night. I became a lot buffer then I was yesterday. A lot of my fat got put into muscle because of my Beastkin transformation. With my changes to my body last night, I look a lot better next to her. Akari told me that look’s never concerned her; she was after the feeling of being the right person for her by instinct.

It didn’t take long to get most people’s attention as we walked through the front entrance. Akari’s hand started to tighten, as if something was annoying her. The next thing I know she snaps her fingers and an extremely bright light burst out from her. It was impossible to view us anymore, as we made our way to home room.

“Those damn bitches looking at you with those eyes. They should know their damn place and not get any ideas.” Akari said with scorn.

“I felt that exact same way about some of those lust filled eyes looking your way. Akari you’re just too damn cute and I have a feeling it’s going to cause a lot of issues in the future.” I said with a light sigh.

“Haru you already know my heart and there isn’t anything in this world or the other that can change it.” She said with confidence that I’m the only one for her.

“That goes double for me; I would never want anyone over you.” I cupped Akari’s face and kissed her just before we got to our homeroom showing a few people a scene.

We both went for the back of the room, where we sat yesterday. Akari positioned herself on my lap and leaned back into me. I put my arms around her mid section and squeezed a bit. In everyone else’s eyes, I’m sure they see two cosplayers being way too friendly with each other. Literally every single person was staring at us in class and when anyone would enter the room they would look bewildered.

“Do we have to charge for a show or something?” Akari said as she looked at the people staring at us.

Someone bravely spoke up, “So, what the hell are you two suppose to be?”

“What are you talking about isn’t that obvious? This cutie sitting on my lap is my fox beastkin wife, and I’m her object of affection also known as her husband.” I said with a smile on my face, then kissing Akari on the cheek. The fact all this just came out of my mouth so confidently is astounding to me. She gives me courage and I feel comfortable around her.

“Oh really, I didn’t know today was Halloween. The word freak is the only thing explaining your actions.” Another classmate chimed in.

“Look at my current predicament, and you think calling me a freak would hurt?” I said with a loud laugh.

Akari turns her head to me and puts her lips on mine. The normal wet and moist sensation, I’ve grown to love. I immediately open my mouth letting her in, and we play tongue battle right in front of the class. We do this for a good two minutes and not one person says a word, “Freak you say? I think I’m ok with that.” Akari said as she gave me one more peck on the lips and looked at the class with cold eyes.

Now you could see both men and woman envious at the fact were so open in front of everyone. They also probably want to join the freaks of the class and being able to make out with such passion. But none of these people are even on our radar and only being used for entertainment.

“Aren’t you Haru? Who always keeps to himself and usually gets bullied on a daily basis?” A random girl asks.

“What’s it to you” Akari said with venom in her voice.

“I’m just curious how he changed so much in one day.”

“Well the short answer is Akari here came from another world to find her fated partner. I turned out to be that partner and after we mated with each other. I turned into a fox beastkin the same as her.” I said with confidence.

“So is this like your story to tell everyone for your little act.”

“What makes you think this is an act” Akari asked.

“Coming from another world like a fantasy novel, shut the fuck up. There’s no way anyone would believe a word that comes out of your mouth.”

“Have you ever thought how people get their ideas for the novels they write? Maybe they actually saw the world they’re writing about or had visions of somewhere far from us.” I said with sarcasm in my tone.

“Yeah ok and Santa Claus is also real.”

“Akari show him what you can do.” She nodded at me.

She put her finger up as all the class took one step back on reflex. A red light started to emerge from the top of her finger and starts increasing. The temperature in the room rising as the fireball gets bigger. By the time it got to the size of a basketball, you could see the panic of people in the room. Then just like that, Akari snaps her fingers, and the fireball disappears.

“You should know your place before you talk down to your betters humans.” Akari said to the students of the class.

Not a person said a word and that’s when the teacher came in, “Get to your seats now; it’s time for roll call.”

As the teacher was going down the list he still didn’t acknowledge the way Akari and I were being. Then he said, “Haru”

“Here” I said as the teacher glanced at me and paused.

“What do you think you’re doing? We don’t allow any kind of relationships on school property. If she doesn’t get off your lap soon, then I will give you both detentions.”

We just both stare at the teacher without saying a word and the class is dead silent. I could see a few blood vessels on his forehead start to bulge. He walked up to the both of us and gave detention slips, “Both of you see me after school.”

Akari grabbed both slips in one hand and burned them to a crisp, “What detention slips?”

The teacher looked back at us with both slips having disappeared. The whole class saw them go up in flames, but he was turned around at the time. Akari turns and kisses me on the lips, turning back to the teacher with a smile. He looked like he was about to have a heart attack he was so angry. That’s when the bell rang, and we walked out of the classroom.

The first and second period went pretty much how homeroom did, with us messing around with our act. During third period Akari started to show me how to start controlling mana. I would try to ignite a fire on my finger and don’t let it grow. People were staring at us in awe, while we would spark a small fire on top of our finger. Normally a fireball would keep increasing as it feeds off your mana. Having it smaller allowed me to increase my control.

Fifth period is next and probably our last class of the day before we leave this place. It’s P.E. where we will be able to be outside and show some more impressive stuff.

“I will be able to teach you how to fire off something big in our next class.” Akari said with a smirk.

“Sounds like fun.” I chuckled back at her.

Normally you would have to change into your P.E. clothes, but neither of us cared too. We just showed up to our class in our normal attire and waited for it to start. It was pretty funny at this time because most people around us knew of our antics throughout the day. You would hear people talking in a whisper trying to figure out, what our true motives were. It’s extremely easy to hear these people with my new hearing.

Akari and I would just laugh to each other, when we would hear another crazy theory. Not one single person believed Akari was from another world, and we were legit fox beastkin. The opinion of us, I’m sure is about to change with the spectacle were about to perform.

“Haru, we’re going to find out which element you have an affinity with. There is a high likelihood it could be fire, but it’s not certain. We do have the same mana, but our control over a certain element can vary.”

“I’m in your hands, please teach me well!” I said with a smile.
