I remember my mother always told me my life is what you make of it. But is that actually true? Can I truly decide what I want to do with my life? There are always variables that go into what makes your life good or bad. Whether you can adjust to your surroundings is the key. The problem I’ve always suffered from was not feeling like I belonged anywhere. The kids in school enjoyed picking on me because I’m an easy target. Also with my tall stature they can look cool to their friends picking on the big kid. Can I really control this kind of outcome? I’m sure the most logical answer would be just try to fit in. But not everyone has an extroverted personality and can mingle with anyone. I enjoyed being by myself and don’t see the reason of trying to suck up to these people. Why should I have to change just to fit in with those who look down on me? These were the kinds of thoughts I had going into my senior year of high school. Who would have known just how much my outlook on life was about to change. There is someone out there for everyone is what people hope to think. I would soon come to find out just how true that statement was when I met her.
