“Kazz… You’re going to pay for this, you idiot!” The giant form of Sir Whiskers said as his eyes started to glow with a red color.
“You’re crazy Whiskers… This needs to stop!” I tried to negotiate with him but that seemed impossible now.
The rest of the people in the room were looking at me with confused expressions.
“Don’t worry guys I can completely understand this cat, I’m a sorcerer too just like his owner,” I said to the people who were with me, I can be a lot of things, crazy is not one of them.
And it seemed like Whiskers was running out of patience as he didn’t think twice about stomping the ground with his paw, luckily I managed to avoid the attack, and the people who used to be toys started to run away in panic.
“Yes… Run away from here guys, this cat is crazy!” I screamed at them before I looked at Whiskers with a defiant expression.
“You should be following them… After all, you’re as weak as them,” this stupid creature tried to mock me.
“I won’t run this time, after all…” I grabbed a stick that I found close by. “I’m stronger now,” the cat was confused by my words.
But it didn’t take too long before I launched into the air the stick that I previously found and then I grabbed it with one hand and I started to fly close to the cat's face, and he was taken back for what I just did, however, he didn’t hesitate in using his paws to try to attack me as if I was a mere insect.
After all, I was acting like a fly, pestering him on his ugly face and most of all, being a nuisance to his emerald eyes, and at some point, I remained static close to his eyes until he slapped himself and fell on his back in one building.
“Take that you stupid cat… That will teach you that no cat will be better than me, ever,” I mocked him and suddenly he jumped up towards me and destroyed the place where I was, I needed to take him to the other side of the city or at least far from here.
“Don’t say such nonsense… As long as I have this you will never defeat me,” and suddenly, this cat took something out of his fur, it was a collar with his name.
I couldn’t help but smirk at the sight.
“You’re an idiot... You’re so arrogant that you even revealed your weak point, but I guess that must be expected of a cat,” I said with a smirk and he was about to say something, but then a thing in the sky caught our attention.
It was Jaggi and it seemed like he turning himself into a flame arrow, I knew this technique, it looked like Allee had pushed him to the edge to use this technique that not only would destroy the objective if it hit the ground, but it would also leave the user without energy, I needed to do something.
“Better than worrying about the two of us, you should worry about your friend… She’s going to end up roasted!” Whiskers was amused and entertained by the sight as he sat calmly while his tail was moving around.
“Don’t think you and Jaggi won already I just need to take care of your collar and that’s it!” Suddenly I started to fly around this place once again and it didn’t take too long before I started to fly towards him.
Whiskers didn’t say anything, but suddenly his eyes started to glow once again.
“Cats of the city… My humble servants, get back to your fire forms and join Jaggi to make his attack stronger than it’s supposed to be…Sacrifice yourselves and give him your energy!” Whiskers said loudly and I’m sure that humans could hear him meowing.
A scary sight appeared in front of me, raising from the ground countless fireballs were rising in the sky, it seemed like they were ready to become one with Jaggi’s attack, I needed to do something.
“Oh no you stupid cat, I’m not going to let you do that!” I screamed before I started to move around the giant Whiskers, it looked like he was expecting me to attack him as he got in the usual attack position a cat usually uses.

However, I did something he wasn’t expecting while he was ready to attack me, suddenly I took a turn and I started to fly towards the sky, nothing could stop me now, or that’s what I thought before my eyes widened at the sight under me, this cat did something I couldn’t believe, his head started to separate from his body, his head was spinning around until it finally became free from his body.
“Damn it!” I couldn’t help but say as he started to chase me but not only that, he was sending attacks towards me with his eyes and mouth.
He was trying to hit me with giant furballs that he sent with his mouth, he also had some kind of green laser coming from his eyes, this wasn’t good.
“Come on Kazz… Play with me, just like in the old times!” He said in a mocking tone as he resumed his attacks.
“No thank you!” Those are the only words I could mumble as I tried to escape, but that seemed impossible.
He was getting closer and closer to me but I needed to reach a certain height before giving up, so, even if he was attacking me from all fronts, still that wasn’t going to be enough to defeat me, that’s for sure.
“Give up Kazz… Neither you nor that girl can stop us!” Once again he tried to distract me, he was desperate I liked seeing him like that, and that’s the motivation I needed to keep going.
I was so close to reaching the height I needed, but then something happened, he managed to strike me in the arm I was using to sustain myself in the air, it didn't take too long for desperation to take over the logic and reason.
“I give up,” I accepted my faith until I remembered what was going to happen to Allee. “No! I need to try this at least!” I took my staff and concentrated the most I could.
I didn’t even care that I was falling to the ground or the fact that the head of a cat was chasing me in the air.
“Goddess…Please give this humble servant of yours the power to turn fire into ashes,” I said in an ancient language as I pointed my staff in the direction of the sky, surprisingly my staff launched a red ray towards the sky and the clouds became of the same color as the ray and it didn’t take before a violent storm started.
“You idiot!” The cat’s head said before I landed on top of it. “Get off me you—” he was about to rant about my current position but instead I decided to hug his head on the top.
“SHUT… UP!” I screamed loudly as I released my elemental power.
Soon, this attracted a huge thunder that struck us, of course, thanks to me having the electrical element the thunder didn’t do a thing to me, all the opposite, the power of the thunder increased thanks to the power of my element, and the cat’s head suddenly fell violently on the ground like a meteor on the other side of the city.
While I was falling to the ground I realized that the cats that were turned into flames suddenly turned into ashes due to the rain I conjured, I felt bad for them but they for sure had been terrorizing this whole town, and this served them right.
I managed to make the stick come back with me to help me safely reach the ground to reunite with Allee, and I felt that the cat wasn’t done with me, I knew he was chasing me, however, I paid him no attention for one reason.
“Kazz… You’ve recovered!” Allee said before she hugged me.
“I’m glad you’re fine, I was worried for a second due to that scary flame arrow attack,” I sighed after saying and I hesitated a bit but I ended up hugging her back.
“What do we do with him, Kazz?” Asked Allee with a worried expression as we looked at Jaggi who was on the ground completely defeated, I knew he had no power, he looked so pathetic.
“Well… It’s time to do the logical thing Allee… You need to give him the final blow,” she didn't say anything, it seemed like she was hesitating.
Soon we were joined by the population of this town who were waiting for us to make the final move to defeat Jaggi or else they would take matters into their own hands, I could see those were their plans considering they were holding farming tools, machetes, and many other stuff that shouldn’t be used as a weapon.
“Come on knight… Do it or we’ll do it!” One of the habitants said and Allee was hesitating.
But before she could say anything, the giant Sir Whiskers appeared once again, and now his head was back to his body and it didn’t take too long for him to pick Jaggi with his mouth, the two of them were frail at this moment, I’m surprised Sir Whiskers was able to do this considering his head was completely burned, it seems like he was the one who ended up getting roasted in the end.
“He’s escaping!” The mayor of the town said angrily.
“Don’t worry… He doesn’t have his collar!” I said with a smirk before I pulled out the collar out of my clothes.
And it didn’t take too long before I destroyed the collar and it turned into two spheres of energy, those spheres suddenly flew and inserted themselves into the quintuplets' mothers, as for Jaggi and Sir Whiskers, they gradually got back on their feet and now Sir Whiskers had a normal size.
“Get them!” One of the habitants screamed and the whole townsfolk started to chase them.
With the little energy Jaggi had he took his cat and they started to run away from here, it wasn’t easy because as a sorcerer he wasn’t used to physical activities.
“Let’s follow them, Allee,” I told my friend and she nodded, so, I took her hand and then we started to fly around the place with the stick I used before we followed the two fugitives who were even attacked by the angry guardian mothers of the quintuplets.
“We need to stop them, Allee… If we give Jaggi enough time, he’ll recover his powers,” she nodded at my words and surprisingly Jaggi was coming back to his headquarters, I had a certain idea about what he wanted to accomplish with this, however, I didn’t say anything until we were in the room were I found the quintuplets guarding the gem.
“Where is it, Sir Whiskers!?” He was desperately looking for something.
“Hey Jaggi… Did you lose something?” I asked with a smirk on my face as I raised my fist which had a red glow right now.
“No way… Don’t tell me that…” He was speechless.
“Yes…My body absorbed the gem, oh my friend you've condemned this world the moment you stole this gem alongside the others and decided to frame me for it,” I said in a tone full of arrogance, this jerk deserved to be treated like this.
“Kazz… My friend, my buddy… You need to help me… For the old times—“ He was desperate, however, we soon were joined by the townsfolk and they were angrier than before.
“Get them!” And the chase started again.
“Run Sir Whiskers!” He told his cat as he freed him.
“Don’t let that cat go!” I screamed at the townsfolk who suddenly caught Jaggi. “Don’t let him escape Allee…I’ll help them with the cat!” She nodded before I joined the chase and the cat was running towards the room where I was about to be used for a sacrifice, he was cornered, and he had only one option to escape from here and that was jumping from the window, however…
“Oh no!” One of the adults said before they covered the kids’ eyes.
It seems like Sir Whiskers forgot that the dogs were confined just outside the window, the only thing we heard was a loud meowing that was quickly silenced by the savage sounds of dogs attacking something, and as soon as the cat landed the meowing was cut as if it didn’t even exist while the dogs were barking and howling like crazy as if they were celebrating.
Curiosity #13: Sorcerers have a limited source of energy and it's easy to break that source, that's why most of them don't involve themselves in fights unless they have to.
