I did it, the start of my master plan, the greatest grift of my life was destined to be a success of course, the whole family, the servants, the maids, the guards everyone was shocked by my amazing entrance.
“What nonsense is this!?” The head of the family said with an angry expression.
To be honest, I was more worried about the fact that his old bald head might explode, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“What? What’s so funny, boy!?” Asked the old man filled with rage. “Don’t you know who I am!?” It seems like my laughter really hurt his ego.
Okay, If there were any doubts left, now it’s completely confirmed that I am a scumbag, entering inside a house without announcing myself, I'm technically breaking in, I'm also making a show out of this beautiful room and this almost beautiful family (they would be perfect if it wasn’t for the old man who has a weird pink evil aura around him).
And to make things worse I make a fool of their guards who luckily are unaware of me being so weak that even trained humans like them could be able to take me without a problem, it’s such a good day to be thankful about the awful reputation we sorcerers have in this world.
And now, to add more salt to the scar I make fun of his appearance, but you can’t be a complete scumbag if you aren’t completely honest.
“I’m sorry… It’s just that I imagined your head exploding due to your anger!” I said between giggles and this just made the old man get angrier than he already was.
“Okay, you got a ticket pal! Now you’ll be suffering the wrath of ‘Sir Lord Churchill Ferguson De McAllister Von Di Sanstach’!” The old man was truly getting out of control.
The old man was brave I couldn't deny that because he was about to do something people rarely do... Slap me, and there's a good reason for it.
"Boss... Don't!" Said Louis trying to stop his boss.
The knight's words were worthless, he still ended up slapping me but it didn't hurt me, instead, the old man quickly realized his mistake as his body suddenly started to shake.
"Oh, sorry... I was born with the electrical skin ability," I said calmly while the old man was shaking like crazy.
This old man is truly stupid and I'm glad I'm not the only man who thinks that, it seems like Louis thinks the same as me.
And what’s with the number of titles? His name sounds as if he read a book and just used the lamest names he could find… And the worst of all is that he’s combining a lot of names from different cultures and names of monarchs… Does he truly believe he’s above royalty!?
“Layuz…. Calm down!” Suddenly the beautiful lady who was sitting beside him intervened and after hearing that word, the old man’s face got redder and now I really got worried he might explode.
“Amyllica… Don’t call me that name again!” The old man complained as he calmed from the shock my skin gave him, but his wife didn’t change her calm expression.
And now I can see why he acts like this, he’s completely dominated by his wife, she has no respect for him, and my suspicions were confirmed the moment she sent a glare to him and he quickly calmed and became a good boy.
If only this man had bought Doctor Sigma’s book titled “Males going their own way” like me he wouldn’t be in this state, luckily thanks to his teachings I would never be in the same state as him.
“Young man… Or should I say, young sorcerer? I hope you forgive me for being so ignorant when it comes to sorcerers,” She sighed after she said that. “I try to learn as much as I can about the world's minorities but your people are too secretive so please forgive my ignorance.” She bowed before me and I couldn’t help but gulp, this was the best treatment I’ve gotten in ages.
“No, don’t fall for it, young man… She’s just trying to manipulate you!” The image of an orc said in my head.
“Doctor Sigma!” I said surprised. “You are an orc?” I asked confused, I thought he was a short bald white man according to his book covers.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“I don’t know, this is your imagination boy, maybe an orc is the definition of an alpha male for you?” The orc shrugged his shoulders. “Anyway, that doesn’t matter right now… Listen the important thing here is that you need to focus right now, this is no time for you to think about gentleness, you need to think about richness and that would not happen if you don’t convince these parents to let you take their strong daughter with you!” The orc said in a loud tone like the father figure I didn’t have.
“Oh right! Thank you, Doctor Sigma!” I said before the fantasy disappeared and I got back to reality.
The people in the room were staring at me with confused expressions. I hope I didn’t spend too much time in my head.
“Lady Amyllica, I’m truly honored by your respect, you can call me in any way you want, Kazz would be fine as I would need to apply a spell to your tongue for you to be able to fully pronounce my name correctly…” I said with a calm expression before closing my voice.
I need to fix my reputation as soon as I can, it seems like the husband is starting to be wary of me, and that’s something I can’t help but respect, it seems like low-life creatures like us can truly recognize the danger the other represents.
“I’m sorry for laughing at your husband, in Sorcerer culture laughing about someone is actually a sign of respect,” I shamelessly lied and the people in the room were surprised. “I sometimes forget it’s not the same amongst non-magical people for that I offer my deepest apologies to 'Sir Lord Churchill Ferguson De McAllister Von Di Sanstach',” I hope I didn’t mess up the names.
“Oh is that so?” The woman was delighted. “I think he deserves an apology… Don’t you think, Layuz?” His wife asked with a soft yet scary expression and even if he didn’t want to, the man ended up apologizing, this woman is incredible I think I'm in love!
“Don’t worry Lord Sanstach… My magic guided me to this place and when that happens I act without thinking, I offer my apologies for entering into this sacred place and interrupting your activities,” I bowed after them and it seemed like only the wife was impressed.
The old man was hesitating, and it seemed like he didn’t want to give in, and this made me feel frustrated, bowing after a non-magical human was something I hated so much but sometimes you have to make some sacrifices to succeed.
“Fine… Your apology has been accepted, now, what was the thing you were saying? Some nonsense about my daughter being the hero or something like that?” The man truly was an idiot, but still, I didn’t want this to take more time, so I stopped myself from insulting him.
“Yes, I want your daughter to come with me to travel around the world to defeat the demon king, trust me, she’s the hero destined to destroy the demon king… I saw your daughter pulling the sword in the pedestal in your garden!” I said in a dramatic tone.
“Alleena… How could you? That’s something given to us by our ancestors!” The man was getting angry once again.
And I couldn’t believe his guts, his daughter had been rewarded with the amazing title I gave to her and he didn’t even hesitate to deny my request… Is that thing really more important than the glory that awaits for her? I’m speechless right now, but still, I need to keep myself calm.
“Yes! I did it, and I would do it again, I hate that you care more about that stupid stone rather than your daughter… I don’t want to get married!” Suddenly the young lady who looked to be around my age exploded not only surprising the rest of the people in the room but also me.
It seems like they’ve never seen her acting like this, it’s going to be complicated to convince them now, well, there may be a way, I’m going to need to break into her room to ask her personally, it seems like her life is already bad enough so, I still may have a chance to convince her to come with me.
“Alleena!” Her mother cried out as she followed her daughter who slammed a door after she disappeared from our sight.
“You must be happy now… You’ve ruined our day, and you did it because of stupid games!” The old man told me with an angered expression.
“Sir… Defeating the demon king is not a game, this could bring fame and glory to your family and—” I tried to explain but he quickly stopped my words.
“We don’t need that,” the old man said in a surprisingly calm tone.
Now that he was completely alone with only the guards, his personality seemed to have changed, it was incredible but he was showing his true colors.
“We have enough wealth and about the fame and glory, well… Once my daughter marries the king she’s going to get more than enough fame and glory and it will take her very little effort compared to defeating our Lord…” The man said with a smirk that made me feel uncomfortable.
“You…” That’s the only word I could mumble due to his sudden change in attitude, it seems like this man has everything figured out. “I get it now… You’re one of those who benefited from the rise of the demon king… Right?” Even if I asked I knew the answer to that question.
But the old man didn’t answer my question, he just smirked at me confirming what I suspected, so this is why I had a very bad feeling about him, now everything makes sense.
“Boy… There are some things you must not question for your own good… Trust me, you don’t want to mess up with someone who has direct contact with the demon king,” the old man whispered into my ear before he started to laugh.
I felt angry right now, I couldn’t believe that there was a bigger scumbag than me in this town and the worst of all is that he was wealthy!
This makes me really angry but instead of being discouraged for being denied the request to take his daughter, this only motivates me more to do it, though I need a better plan.
“Well… I guess this conversation is over… Go away and never come back boy, don’t try to put yourself between me again… Unless you want me to call the local healer, I heard she needs an specific material right now… She calls it 'magical dust',” The man started to laugh once again.
And I couldn’t help but flinch, I started to run away from here, that material comes directly from a sorcerer, and trust me, you don’t want to know the process to get that thing, it was banned a few centuries ago!
“I better forget about her,” I said before sighing, I started to get paranoid, I couldn’t believe a commoner would know something like that, a knowledge that only magical people should know, the local healer was surely a corrupt witch who would do anything for money, how disgraceful.
But I shouldn’t be surprised, after all, everyone has adopted money as their new god ever since they dropped the ancient gods after the great cataclysm.
“There’s no point for me to stay in this town, I guess it’s time for me to go back to the illegal activities,” I said to no one and I just walked without direction until I reached the outskirts of the town.
“You took way too long,” A female voice told me and I couldn’t help but flinch.
The person who said those words was covered in a hood but even if she was dressed like this, I still could see who she was due to her eyes.
“Alleena? What are you doing here?” I asked completely shocked.
“What does this it like I'm doing? Coming with you, of course, my parents permitted me to come with you to defeat the demon lord… Come on, let’s go!” She said before she started to run with a huge grin on her face.
To say that I was confused would be an understatement, however, even if I had a lot of doubts and questions about the veracity of her claims, in the end, my plan succeeded, and that was the most important thing, the first part of my plan was a success.
Curiosity #3: The last time someone tried to fight a sorcerer, that person’s whole town disappeared as if it never existed… Or at least that’s what one legend says…
