Chapter 4: Talk about No Magic! YIKES!

Chapter 4: Talk about No Magic! YIKES!

It was only the fourth week of classes, but Professor Magnolia was sending her fairies on their first field trip. More like a let’s give the students an outside field assignment so she doesn’t have to grade papers. Their assignment was simply to be in a group of no more than four and find their way back to the school without using any magic. To make sure no magic was used, Professor Magnolia cast a temporary defragmentation spell on her students. The spell removes every ounce of magic inside of a magical being and can last for three days at its max. Thus, Professor Magnolia only removed her students’ magic for this one assignment: so, for about two to three hours.

“Umm like what if something bad happens to us and we need our magic?” asked Paris, one of the students in the class.

“Don’t worry Paris, no life-threatening creatures preside in this realm. Alright, well girls, enjoy this beautiful scenery in nature, I’ll be waiting on the other side,” explained Professor Magnolia, right before she teleported to the other side.

“Oh, and then she has the nerve to use magic in front of us to teleport to the end of this ‘get to know nature field assignment’ more like torture assignment,” complained a student.

“Ugh! I can’t believe we can’t use any magic! Do you know how much these shoes cost!” said Crystal.

“Chill, Cee. Being in the swamp isn’t that bad… scratch that, I think I just saw a huge mosquito,” said Serena.

“Yeah, more like a pre-historic mosquito,” Kristy cried.

“Girls, come on! Don’t worry we’ll find our way to the other side in no time. All we have to do is listen to the Voice of Nature,” said Ivy.

“Umm! Well, aren’t you the Nature Fairy? So, how do you assume we get out of this maze?”

“Shh! I’m trying to listen to nature.”

“Okay, she’s lost her…” Ivy spoke before Crystal could finish her comment.

“This way,” said Ivy.

“Never mind! Let’s follow Miss Nature.”

“Ugh! I’m bored out of my mind right now,” wailed Jewels.

“I know right! We haven’t wreaked any havoc in about four weeks,” said Ices.

“If you consider making the underclass nerds do all our homework then we caused some,” Storm supposed.

“Shut up Storm! I’m still trying to grasp why KD told us to take some time off because we mentioned the brownie got a scepter?” Ices wondered.

“Maybe it holds some type of ultimate power,” Jewels assumed.

“Hmm or maybe it was just luck. Anyway, I’m tired of sitting around… let’s see what those losers are doing,” said Ices.

“Hmm, Look ladies! Looks like the sprites are on a no magic nature hike,” said Jewels.

“Wicked! This sounds like a perfect time to summon a beast to steal all of their life energy and exterminate them once and for all,” said Ices, as she smirked.

“Yeah! So, babe let me tell you about my day so far,” Zoe blabbed on the phone.

“Zoe! Get your butt off the phone and come help us with this spell!” yelled Ices.

“I got to go, babe! Talk to you later. Smooches.” Zoe stated while making kissy noises.

“Hashtag: gag me,” replied Jewels.

Zoe finally got her butt off the phone and joined hands with her best witches to summon another creature from the Dark Planet.

“We call upon Plantartrex!” shouted the Vortex.

“It kind of looks like Bruce; don’t you think?” said Jewels.

“Minus the OBO (ogre body ogre),” Storm added.

“Hahahaha!” the witches laughed.

“Now listen up, Plantartrex. We created you, therefore, you work for us. We want you to steal as much fairy energy as you can and return it to us. Also, whatever you do, make sure you zap those four insects dry,” said Ices.

#StillWanderingInTheSwamp

About thirty minutes had passed and the girls were getting tired.

“Ugh! We’ve been walking around in circles. Vee, are you sure you’re listening to the right voice?” complained Crystal.

“Yes, trust me Cee for the one-hundredth time,” said Ivy.

“Hold on girls! Do you feel that?” Serena stated, as she stopped walking and held up her right index finger.

“Yeah, it’s major negative energy in the air,” said Kristy.

Without warning, a group of girls screamed and Serena and her girls rushed towards their route. The four witnessed an ugly venomous plant-like creature sucking the life energy out of their classmates. Serena and her girls knew they had to stop the creature and save their classmates before they became pixie dust.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

“Hey ugly! Who do you think you are stealing poor innocent fairies’ life energy!” Crystal shouted.

“Guess it’s time for some deforestation!” said Ivy.

“Umm, girls! Our magic hasn’t returned yet,” Serena reminded them.

“Uh-oh! I forgot about that! RUN!” shouted Crystal.

#LookingThroughTheCrystalBall

“Ha-ha! Look at them running like cowards,” said Storm, as she grinned.

“Like a little herd of gazelles about to be ripped apart by a group of hungry lions.” Ices stated as she began to laugh.

#BackToHidingOut

“Ivy, can you sense a way out of here?” Serena asked.

“Yeah before the creature finds us. We can’t keep running forever,” Crystal cried.

“Uh-oh! It sounds like that thing is getting closer.” Kristy gulped.

“Come on, Vee. We believe in you,” said Serena, as she patted Ivy on her shoulder.

“Okay, got it! This way!” exclaimed Ivy.

Serena, Crystal, and Kristy followed Ivy and winded up surrounded by a bunch of moving plants. Ivy told her besties to be as quiet as possible around them because they were not ordinary plants. These plants were known as La Sinfonias. Magical plants that only allow tranquility around them or they go haywire and end up squeezing the noisemaker until the person explodes. The fairies quickly tiptoed past the magical plants, and just in time because Plantartrex had found them.

“Alright! Enough being quiet! RUN!” Crystal screamed.

“No! Watch this,” said Ivy, as she grabbed Crystal by the arm.

“I’m going to get you! What the! Hey, let me go! Let me go!” Plantartrex started panicking.

Due to the creature being extremely loud, the La Sinfonias weren’t happy and seized Plantartrex.

“Good work, Vee!” shouted her besties.

“Ugh! No way! We’re not about to let them beat us again that easily! Zoe!” Ices shouted as she watched the fairies cheer through the crystal ball.

“I’m already on it,” said Zoe, as she disappeared.

Zoe teleported herself to the swamp to release Plantartrex from La Sinfonias’ tightening grip.

“VEINS BURN!” Zoe shouted.

“Thanks, your Wickedness,” Plantartrex replied.

“Whatever! Now, go eliminate those fairies!” screamed Zoe.

#Meanwhile

“Alright, I’m sensing the exit is less than five minutes away,” said Ivy.

“Wait girls, do you hear that?” Serena asked.

“It got out!” Crystal screamed.

“Girls, look out!” yelled Kristy.

Right before Ivy and her besties became plant food, Professor Magnolia sprang into action. She was not about to let some barbaric plant-like creature take out any of her students.

“Leave my students alone!” shouted Professor Magnolia, as she blasted Plantartrex.

“Thanks for the save, Ms. Mag,” said the girls.

“No problem girls! Now it seems to me it’s time to grant everyone’s magic back, so here you go.”

“Alright girls, ready?” Ivy asked her besties.

“Ready!” Serena, Crystal, and Kristy shouted.

Now that Professor Magnolia gave back her students powers, they all could help her exterminate Plantartrex.

“The sooner we wipe him out, the sooner we can go and find the rest of the class,” said Professor Magnolia.

“Ladies, it looks like our monster needs our help again.” Jewels exhaled, as she placed her right hand on her forehead.

“Well, let’s split up the team,” said Ices.

Just when the fairies thought they had the upper hand the Vortex appeared.

“Hello, brownies! Last time I checked, wasn’t it more than four students in a classroom? Jewels and Zoe, go find the rest of those freshies and destroy them!” Ices commanded.

“We’re on it!” said Jewels and Zoe.

“Kristy and Crystal go make sure those witches don’t harm the other students. Don’t worry Ms. Mag, Ivy, and I will handle Ices, Storm, and the creature,” said Serena.

Seems like everything was going according to plan: the witches had split up the group.

“Look, I spy a pair of freshies.” Jewels smirked ominously.

“Oh no! witches!” The group of defenseless fairies cried.

“SCORCHING FIRE BLAST!” Zoe shouted.

“ABSORBENT SHIELD OF SUNLIGHT!” yelled Crystal, as she jumped in front of her classmates.

“You fairies, get out of here and go find the rest of our classmates! We’ll handle the witches!” said Kristy.

“Looks to me like you two should have been the ones running.” Jewels began cackling.

“What’s going on?” Crystal asked.

“Seems to me Jewels used her dark magic to turn the plants against us!” Kristy noticed.

The plants had wrapped up Crystal and Kristy into two giant energy-absorbing chrysalises.

“Looks like you two are in a bit of a tied-up situation. Bye now.” Jewels laughed.

“Shouldn’t you young witches be in class?” Professor Magnolia asked.

“They let us out early on bad behavior, PIERCE ATTACK!” Ices shouted.

“MELT US! Please you think that was going to hurt me!”

“ELECTRONIC ZAP!” Storm shouted as she did a sneak attack on Professor Magnolia.

“Ms. M! Behind you!” yelled Serena and Ivy.

“AHHHHH!” Professor Magnolia screamed before she hit the ground and passed out.

“I bet that hurt,” said Ices as she laughed.

“Ugh! You witch! SCEP…” Serena was cut off before she could summon her scepter.

“Quiet!” Ices shouted as she blasted Serena.

“AHHHHHHHH!” Serena screamed.

“Serena!” Ivy yelled.

“We got rid of Miss Sine Bright and Miss Timer, so what did we miss?” Zoe asked.

“Ha looks like Ivy’s the only one left… so, let’s finish her off!” said Jewels.

“Why don’t we attack her all together?” Ices suggested.

“It’s over, tulip!” Storm shouted.

“Oh no! What am I going to do?” Ivy stated in her mind.

The Vortex were channeling their dark powers and getting ready to turn Ivy into pixie dust, but suddenly a bright light appeared. Then, out came a rose-shaped scepter. The same voice that helped Serena out told Ivy to shout the words, “Nature Mineral Power!” to undo the witches’ dark magic in the swamp.

“Another scepter!” Storm cried.

“NATURE MINERAL POWER!” Ivy shouted, unleashing a wave of thousands of shining flower petals.

“Let’s get out of here!” Ices commanded.

The Vortex managed to escape just in time, but Plantartrex wasn’t so lucky.

“Wait! What about me!” Plantartrex screamed before he exploded into seeds.

Plantartrex was defeated and the chrysalises that Crystal and Kristy were trapped in opened.

“Hey, we’re free!” Crystal cheered.

“Looks like Ivy and Serena defeated our foes.” Kristy smiled with bliss.

Thanks to Ivy, not only did she defeat the monster, but she also freed the dark magic Jewels had cast on the plants. The positive energy was once again restored.

“Thanks girls! One more minute and Crystal and I would have been goners for sure,” said Kristy.

“Yeah, I’m still recovering! Those plants really took more than a nibble out of my powers.” Crystal began to yawn.

“Girls, it was actually Vee who saved us all, and she managed to get a scepter,” said Serena.

“Ivy, you got a scepter!” Crystal and Kristy cheered.

“Yeah and I believe the same voice that helped Serena decided to help me too,” Ivy explained.

“What’s going on! Is everyone alright?” said Professor Magnolia, as she regained consciousness.

“Yes, we’re fine! We defeated the monster, but those witches ended up running away,” Ivy replied.

“Alright then! Time to make sure all the students have made it out and I’ll be giving everyone A’s after this chaotic day.”

“Yeah, I’m ready to hit the hay. That scepter wore me out.”

“But one more thing, who can I send my shoe cleaners bill to because my heels are definitely damaged?” Crystal asked.

“Oh, Crystal.” Everyone started laughing.

“I’m serious,” said Crystal, as she scowled.

“Hmm, so now there are two magic scepters? Interesting!” said King Darwin.
