{+ Chapter Four +}
The dark, eerie cave is filled with grunts of pain. The infant spiders whispering in the corners, the fathers curled up and sleeping, finally the mother, she scurries and bustles around, watching Nyrida with her sharp eyes narrowing. The giant black spiders, half the size of a human being, scurried along the wall circling her, watching with their eight eyes as dark as the tunnels surrounding Nyrida never ending, twitching at the slightest sounds. The giant spiders were coming closer with every breath Nyrida took. Sensing her fear, they advanced inching closer with every breath she took. The spiders were now only a foot away from Nyrida. Observing, watching, the largest spider otherwise known as mother pounced on Nyrida slamming her into the ground, her bones creaking and aching, pleading for the pressure to be relieved.
“Stop! Please! That hurts!” Nyrida screamed.
The mother’s head bent down and seemed to smell Nyrida. Mother seemed unimpressed, then grabbed Nyrida’s leg with her mouth ripping it out of the socket, putting it in her watering mouth. The mother crunched down on Nyrida’s leg; the bones screamed as they were snapped in half the sound of breaking bone echoed throughout the tunnels in this open cave. A bloody waterfall decided to take form at the socket of Nyrida’s leg. Nyrida heard screaming, make it stop. The screaming is getting worse, make it stop. It’s hurting my head, make it stop.
“MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!” Nyrida screamed at the top of her lungs, tears welled from inside her eyelids and ran down her cheeks, using all the air inside her chest.
The screaming ceased. It was at this moment that Nyrida knew that she had been the one screaming. Mother tilted her head in curiosity, swallowing Nyrida’s leg chomping loudly. Arousing the curiosity of the Fathers and Infant creatures as they began to awake crawling on the walls and ceiling.
Mother looks even more terrifying than before, as blood is dripping down the sides of her watery mouth, her dark barbed fur stained in rusty, dried blood. The scent of corpses reeked off her, but Mother didn’t seem to mind. Her body completely resembled a spider, but with human arms and legs instead of spider legs like the rest. As if Mother had ripped off her legs and made human legs her own.
Mother still was hungry after eating the leg and moved in for more.

“Please…” Nyrida pleaded even though she knew mother wouldn’t stop, “Please stop…”
Mother’s sticky barbed legs reached for Nyrida’s arm and took it for herself as a snack. Mother appeared to get a high from this and hurriedly grabbed another leg making Nyrida scream out in agony and pain once again. Nyrida’s throat clenched together making it hard to breathe. Her stomach turned threatening to make her vomit at any given moment.
“Why do I feel as if I need to-“ Nyrida cut off quickly as a loud gurgle in her stomach forced her to use her last arm to support herself, her heartrate rapidly growing faster as she vomited all over one of the young baby spiders.
Nyrida rapidly became lightheaded, and her arm gave out forcing her to collapse.
“God please, help me survive this nightmare” Nyrida pleaded through tears as she lay in her vomit and blood.
This time god wouldn’t save her, instead he would welcome her to his world. Nyrida was lying on the floor staring at the ceiling, blood staining her skin a blood red.
“Where did my energy go....” Nyrida breathed out exhausted,” I need to get out of here…”
Mother crawled away from Nyrida being bored of this as she has had her fun.
“My skin is so cold, why… why is it so cold,” Nyrida wondered aloud as she held herself with her one remaining arm,” I want to warm up… will someone warm me up...”
Nyrida eyes opened and closed, repeatedly then settled on being half-closed. Her head swarmed by drowsiness, eyes taken by black spheres, and body taken by gravity forcing her to lay down underneath all the weight of the world. Her head pounding but she paid no mind to this as Nyrida stared at the ceiling when a thought appeared in her mind. What if I don’t make it? I can’t leave Myra alone in this cruel world! I won’t let Myra be left alone. I won’t! With newfound determination I decided I must survive for Myra.
Nyrida tried to prop herself up with her only remaining arm, but my weak body decided not to support me. I fell once again, hitting my bruised head forcing the black dots to come back larger than ever.
I heard running, the pounding of feet. Sirens wailing, red and blue flashing. I saw her I saw Myra… she came. I was filled with joy as I saw Myra. She came! I happily thought to myself.
“Nyrida!” Myra screamed running towards me.
“M-myr-a…” My broken voice squeaked out.
“It’s going to be okay! You’re going to be okay!” She screamed tears welling in her eyes as she held Nyrida’s limp body to her chest, “Please! Be okay Nyrida I can’t… live with- NYRIDA?”
I heard someone yelling my name as my eyes glazed over in a foggy cover. I knew I loved them, but I couldn’t remember who they were. My eyes throbbed. Everything was hurting. I wanted to speak but no words came out as if someone had stolen my voice. Then it all went black, then I forgot the person I was, and I drifted away being carried by the wind and I left her alone in this cruel world, but I will come back for you Myra, I promise.
