3 Years Later
In a wasteland covered in snow, a lone woman stood in front of a rather savage looking wolf-man. He was known in his galaxy as the Undefeated Big Bad Wolf. The two were exhausted and beat up, both with slashes covering their bodies. Rain flashed forward for the final push. With the final exchange of blows, the wolf’s head was sent flying. Rain dropped to her knees in exhaustion. This had been her toughest expedition yet, and she could barely move her body.
Rain was now known throughout the smaller galaxies as a rather strong person. While she didn’t have Universe shaking strength, her constant battles had earned her reputation as Rainbringer. Throughout this expedition, she had become very lonely. She had begun doing her missions alone, for it was easier to infiltrate governments. Laying on her back in the cold snow, she stared at the stars in the sky. Any time she felt lonely, she would think back to her younger sister’s faces. The cold snow reminded her of winter, and the dazzling stars made her think of Skylight. ‘For them, I can keep going. This path isn’t so bad, as long as I know that they don’t have to do it and are living life as young girls should.’
Suddenly, while fading into unconsciousness, she heard a voice from behind her.
“Rain Starr?”
The voice was raspy and indifferent. Jolting her from her rest, Rain lugged her tired body into a fighting stance.
“I have come to take you away.”
The man shot forward and sent a kick towards her head. Rain blocked with her hands, but realized that the leg was actually a resemblance of a goat’s.

“The Gladiator Tournament, huh?”
She had heard of a contest held every few years on Planet 043. The contest’s participants were usually people from across the neighboring galaxies that had either gained a reputation of power or showed potential. The goal of the contest was to gain money while showing off their captured “goods” to potential buyers. It was an incredibly savage and despicable event, even in the eyes of the Rainbringer.
The man ignored her words and shot forward again while releasing his Cosmic ability. His entire body Enhanced, he was essentially immune to any physical attack.
Rain released her Cosmic ability as well. In order to meet the oncoming tank of a person, she released her full remaining strength. ‘If I don’t end it with this, I’ll have no energy left. It will be troublesome if that happens. After all, if I disappear, that means that my sisters will be dragged into Father’s antics. However…That means I just have to win.’
Darkness cloaked her body. Despite being called the Rainbringer, she was actually an incredibly rare Dark user. She met his assault head on.
A thundering boom resounded throughout the area. The snow exploded at the moment of impact, and the heat from the collision and release of Cosmic energy caused the falling snow to melt, turning into rain.
The navy-haired woman lay in the snow unconscious, with the wounded man standing over her. Out of her pocket had fallen a small book that had functioned as a diary throughout the expedition. The loneliness had caused her to write down her emotions.
Her only thoughts, despite being completely aware of her impending fate of slavery and hardship, were those of the smiling sisters that she loved so much. She truly hoped, from the bottom of her heart, that they would continue to live smiling, unaware of her love and reasons for her actions. She stared into the stars and started to cry for the first time since Awakening. She wasn’t aware if it was due to her own fate or her worry for her sisters. ‘At least… they will have each other. In this world, I know better than anyone, the importance of having a purpose to live…’
With these thoughts, and a tear running down her cheek, Rain Starr slipped into unconsciousness.
It wouldn’t be until the distant, distant future that she would see her sisters again.
