Abduction

“I have decided to conquer this world. The shadow figures said that there were over one thousand different galaxies watching this broadcast, meaning that they are watching this scene and can hear my voice right now. This is my declaration as a human of Earth that has been brought into this world for your entertainment: I will conquer every galaxy, and enjoy the looks of despair on your faces as I steal all of the enjoyment for myself.”

Planet 099

“Boss… he’s really…”

“Winter, I believe that this human is the person that we’ve been searching the universe for.”

“What is your decision, Winter?”

The woman, donning the winged helmet and silver armor, stared at the screen while gripping the arm rest of her chair tightly.

“Prepare for transportation… I can’t risk someone getting a hold of him before us… I… want him... the child of prophecy… will be ours to manipulate… I want him…”

The valiant looking woman’s body was shaking with excitement.

“Understood. We can leave immediately.”

Broadcast HQ

“Sir, we just got an emergency message from the security of the games.”

With these words, the man with antennae instantly became visibly worried. He understood better than anyone the possible results of Jensen’s declaration of war.

“Read it to me.”

The servant quickly read off the tablet with a stressed expression.

“We have identified multiple sources of interference in the force field protecting the planet. We have not been able to pinpoint their location, but it can be assumed that they have landed on the planet and intend on disrupting the games.”

The man sat with a crushed expression as he thought over his options. He made a decision and declared it with a pained face.

“They will certainly come for Jensen. I do not have the power to defend the outcome of the games on my own, and it would take almost an hour for my superiors to arrive. The only thing that we can realistically do, is observe from a close distance and hope that the abductors are not those that live in the dark.”

Mary’s POV

‘He’s frightening. I get the feeling that this is Jensen’s true self. I can’t believe that such pure malice was hidden behind a simple narcissistic personality…’

Looking at the man in front of her, with the markings on his body stirring and a smile while slaughtering opponents, Mary realized that she had never truly understood Jensen. As Jensen approached Ort, he slowly raised his hand to reach around his throat. Ort knew that his struggle would be pointless, and awaited his death with a bitter look. As the hand reached out, a whirl of wind ran through the field. In the next moment, a beam of light slammed into the ground roughly 20 feet behind Jensen. He quickly turned to see an incredibly massive figure dressed in a dark cloak. The only visible part of his body were his legs, and Jensen noticed the abnormality. ‘Hooves… This must be a lifeform from another planet.’

“What are you doing here? I believe the game has not ended yet.”

“I’m not associated with the Galactic Survival Games. I have come for you, Jensen Livelot.”

The raspy voice had an air of confidence.

“Oh, how wonderful. I was starting to wonder just how strong I had become. After all, if I’m going to conquer galaxies, I will need to be stronger than others.”

With these words, Jensen shot toward the cloaked man. Two large shadows formed from his back, and as he sped toward his opponent, the shadows resembled the wings of a crow.

Crows are mean creatures. In human standards, they could even be described as evil. Killing other birds for sport, they are truly formidable predators. Dark as night, crows are truly superior birds. However…

“Insolent.”

Jensen’s POV

“Huh?”

Jensen had charged toward his opponent at full speed. Considering he was no longer holding back, both the size of the shadows and the speed of his movements were significantly faster than fighting the others. However… ‘Where… did he go?’ Despite focusing on the figure in front of him, it had vanished from sight. Occasionally, a crow encounters a fierce hawk in the sky. At that point, despite its speed and strength, the crow can only hope to escape with its life.

Before Jensen had even stopped his charge, he sensed a presence above him. Looking up, his eyes grew wide with shock. The only thing that he could see were the eyes of the man before a fist slammed into him from above with crushing strength. The ground exploded from the force, with a shockwave pushing the surrounding onlookers to the ground. Due to the speed at which he had made his counterattack, Jensen only had time to cushion the point of impact with his shadows. Flipping his body to bring his arms for added cushion, he was able to avoid a fatal blow. ‘Such… power…’

Lying on his back, with his arms and ribs shattered, Jensen stared into the red sky above. The cloaked man stood above him looking down.

Jensen pondered on his past as he felt his consciousness slipping away. ‘I… lost? Just like that, and it’s over? So, this is what it’s like to lose, huh? Is this how others feel all the time? It’s… not fun at all.’ With these thoughts, his consciousness was moments from completely fading as he heard the man speak.

“You survived, huh? Well, if you had died from something like that, you wouldn’t be worth taking.”

With the condescending voice ringing in his ears, and pain swelling throughout his body, Jensen passed out.
