Status Report of Camp Lejeune

DEPARTMENT OF THE MARINE CORPS

Date: May 1st, 2023

Time: 1305 hours

MEMORANDUM FOR Commandant, United States Marine Corps. ATTN: Secretary of the Navy.

SUBJECT: Status Report of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina

1.) Status Report

Several hours ago, we were attacked by a force of entities identified as "Uruks" and "Diluvians." They breached the perimeter through an unknown method, and we took significant casualties. We have not yet had time to count fatalities, but we suspect about 25% of our active-duty soldiers died within the first hour. Brigadier General Oswald Hawker was killed during the fighting, and I took command. After less than thirty minutes of fighting, we were able to secure the perimeter once more.

Our weapons were useless against this new enemy, but we were able to adapt. This is a whole new world of warfare, Commandant. Our enemy completely ignores hard cover, and I suspect our armored divisions would pose no threat to them. Only by making use of this "Revelation System" were we able to regain control.

2.) Recommendation for Future Action

A few minutes ago, I received a troubling report. My men tell me that the sea level will rise by approximately two hundred feet over the next few days. The unidentified object over the Atlantic Ocean forces me to accept the veracity of this prediction.

Due to this clear and present danger, I am requesting immediate authorization to transfer all personnel from Camp Lejeune to Fort Bragg in Fayetteville. If I do not receive a response within twelve hours, I will begin operating under the assumption that the chain of command has broken down and will begin the transfer to Fort Bragg.

God bless America.
