As dawn painted the Faeriefall woods in hues of gold and green, Dragbaki and Lyria awoke to a feeling of a subtle shift in the air. The forest seemed to hum with an unfamiliar energy. Sensing the weird atmosphere Dragbaki looks around to see if the others notice the sudden change of atmosphere. But seeing no reactions from the other members of the group Dragbaki decided to pay no heed to the weird feeling. The group then packed up their temporary camp and headed back to the cave where they fought kobolds and the goblin warband.
Arriving at the entrance of the cave the feeling that's been bothering Dragbaki has been getting stronger. And venturing deeper in the cave has made the uneasiness within Dragbaki grow as he notices that the cave looks fairly clean since they've massacred kobolds and goblins along with a couple of bugbears in the battle that they've fought in yesterday. Finally decided on whether to tell the others about the weird feeling he's been getting. Dragbaki opened his mouth to speak when suddenly...
"Hey uh... Sir Reynard, Lady Brielle, I have something to tell you two" Dragbaki calls out to the two knights. Stopping their walk, Dragbaki continues "I don't know whether to alert you guys about this, but I've kept getting an uneasy feeling since this morning. Something is very different in this forest than yesterday and as we venture deeper in this cave the feeling has been getting stronger. It's weird that there's no traces of the battle yesterday and it feels like someone is--"
Just as when Dragbaki is about to finish his explanation, they've suddenly heard a loud shriek coming from deeper within the cave. Their instincts instantly told them to run. And without looking back the group immediately turned back and ran toward the entrance of the cave. Though the group is fast the shriek is getting louder and is closing in on them. After a while the creature got close enough to see its appearance. To the horror of the group, even more so of Dragbaki, his fear regarding the accuracy of his intuition intensified as they finally saw the creature chasing them. It's an amalgamation of the creatures the duo fought yesterday: a grotesque combination of body parts from various kobolds, goblins, and bugbears. Held together and empowered by the weird energy surrounding it, the energy emits a black and dark green hue.
The creature attacks the group as it closes in. The group is able to dodge the blows but annoyed at not hitting anything the creature unleashes a powerful blow with its gigantic club which the group wouldn't be able to dodge. Just as when the attack is about to hit the group, an iridescent blue and purple light envelopes the group as they suddenly vanish from where they originally are.
The group is then transported in an ethereal plane, with lush and vibrant forest covering the lands. The knights are both mesmerized by the view but are also terrified of where they are.
"This place... This is the Feywild!!!" Lyria yelled as she’s surprise at where they were, as she then continued to say “Is it possible that someone transported us here to save us?”
The group speculated about their situation as they looked around to survey their surroundings and make sure that there’s no hostile creatures around them when suddenly a shimmering figure materialized before them. The figure slowly took a more defined shape, revealing itself to be an archfey with a regal aura, adorned in flowing garments that seemed to blend with the colors of the surrounding nature.
"Welcome, travelers, to the Sylvan realm. I am Elowen, a servant of the Seelie Court. Your presence here was not planned, but circumstances have guided you to this realm of enchantment." The archfey welcomes the group of Dragbaki
Lyria, still in awe of their surroundings, managed to stammer, "You... you saved us from that abomination in the cave. Why?"
"The balance of the Feywild is in peril. An abyssal entity has tainted the heart of our sacred land, threatening both the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Your presence here is a twist of fate, and I believe you may aid us in rectifying this disturbance." Elowen explains.
Sir Reynard, maintaining his composure, inquired, "How can we assist? We are but travelers from the material plane."
"The taint of the abyssal presence has spread to the inner zones of the Feywild, where both Seelie and Unseelie Courts hold their realms. To restore balance, we must unite forces. The Courts have formed a temporary alliance, a rare occurrence in the face of a greater threat." Elowen continues to explain.
Lyria exchanged glances with Dragbaki, both realizing the gravity of their situation. Dragbaki, with a cautious tone, asked, "What must we do?"
"Venture with me to the heart of the Feywild. There lies a convergence point where the Courts have set aside their differences. Together, we shall face the abyssal entity that threatens our realm." Elowen gestures to the group as she guides them.
The group, led by Elowen, traversed through the enchanting landscapes of the Feywild. Vibrant flora danced in the breeze, and luminescent creatures flitted about, creating an otherworldly symphony of sights and sounds. Elowen spoke of the delicate balance between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, emphasizing the rarity of their collaboration.

Upon reaching the convergence point, the group beheld a surreal sight: representatives from both courts standing united against a swirling vortex of abyssal energy. The air crackled with tension as the archfey leaders discussed their plan of action.
“Welcome to the realm of Fey, Son of Mystra, We’ve been expecting your visit.” The Seelie Queen welcomes the group to their realm.
While the Unseelie king releases his power to examine the potential and current abilities of Dragbaki and Lyria… “Hmm, not yet…They’re too weak, Queen!!” The Unseelie king is dissatisfied by the current abilities of the Duo.
The Seelie Queen, with a regal demeanor, addressed the group, "Welcome to the realm of Fey, Son of Mystra. We've been expecting your visit." The knights exchanged perplexed glances, realizing that Dragbaki held a connection beyond their understanding.
The Unseelie King, his gaze lingering on Dragbaki and Lyria, released his power to examine their potential and current abilities. "Hmm, not yet... They're too weak, Queen!!" The Unseelie King expressed dissatisfaction with the current strength of the duo.
The Seelie Queen, unperturbed by the assessment, spoke, "Strength is not always measured in raw power. There is a unique weave in the tapestry of fate that brings these mortals here. We must consider their potential, their essence."
With a subtle nod, the Unseelie King conceded, and the group listened intently as the archfey leaders unveiled the dire situation that plagued the Feywild.
"Our once serene realms are threatened by an abyssal entity that has breached the inner zones. Its corruption spreads like a blight, endangering the very essence of our existence," the Seelie Queen explained.
The Unseelie King added, "This abyssal presence has disrupted the balance between our courts. For the first time, the Seelie and Unseelie must join forces to face this common foe. The convergence point is where the fabric of our realms is weakest, and that is where you, travelers from the material plane, come into play."
Lyria, feeling the weight of the situation, asked, "What do you need us to do?"
The queen then stepped forward her majestic Dress elegantly flowing in the air, "As powerful as we are, it’s also our regret to say that because of this power, Intervening in the material plane would pose significant challenges for our realm. And should the Abyssal gain enough power and try to force its way here, well you can guess at the extent of the damage that would cause to the material plane. ”
”The abyssal entity has a foothold in the inner zone, where the Courts' influence is strongest. Your task is to venture into the heart of the Feywild, confront the abomination that pursued you, and ultimately face the abyssal presence." The Unseelie king said, standing beside the queen with crossed arms and a frown on his face, reflecting the graveness of the situation.
The Seelie Queen continued, "You carry with you the essence of the material plane. This connection may be the key to severing the abyssal link and restoring balance to our realms. But be warned, the dangers you face will not be ordinary. The Feywild is a realm of unpredictable magic and ancient power."
Sir Reynard, though initially wary, nodded in determination. "We may be out of our element, but if the fate of this realm rests on the shoulders of the hero's party and it's our duty to teach and protect them, we will face this challenge head-on."
Lady Brielle, echoing her companion's sentiment, added, "We'll need information about the inner zone, the nature of the abyssal entity, and any help we can muster. So that we can help plan the fight with the hero's party."
The archfey leaders shared their knowledge, providing a detailed map of the inner zone and recounting ancient lore about the abyssal entity. Elowen spoke of potential allies among the fey creatures residing in the inner zone, emphasizing the delicate alliances that could be formed.
As the group prepared to embark on this perilous quest, the Seelie Queen bestowed a magical blessing upon Dragbaki and Lyria, enhancing their connection to the Feywild's magic.
“The Seelie court shall send Elowen to support your fight, she’s one of our most capable fighters and is also good with support magic.” The queen gestures to Elowen as she explains.
The Unseelie King, while not openly expressing approval, acknowledged the necessity of their involvement.
“This is an artifact, The Unseelie court hopes that this could be of help to your battle, this artifact is very powerful, use it with great discretion as it would release powerful enhancements that i’ve put inside it. Release it before you battle that bastard abyssal; its strength is far greater than normal abyssal as it’s an elite that has the Duke rank.” The King advised the group as he handed the artifact to the two knights trusting their wisdom. After which the king headed back to his throne as he excluded an aura of pride.
Elowen, now joined by the group, guided them towards the convergence point, where the Courts awaited to commence the battle against the abyssal presence. The fate of the Feywild hung in the balance, and Dragbaki and Lyria were thrust into a realm of magic, mystery, and impending conflict.
“Can we really take on that guy? I mean they said the guy is a duke rank… We haven’t even fought a normal rank one” Lyria said in worry, as she wondered whether they would have enough power to takedown the abyssal duke that’s in the inner zone.
“Well, there is still time for you two to level up before we reach him, besides you can get an experience on the basics of fighting an abyssal right now, and you two are already stronger than a normal soldier rank abyssal” Lady Brielle assures Lyria.
“which is exactly why Faeriefall woods was chosen as your training grounds to gauge your current abilities as the fae enhance monsters here are as strong as a soldier rank abyssals." Sir Reynard adds as he then continues " Now we must face that amalgamation first, don't worry about getting injured we can help you guys if it comes to it, we're knights for a reason you knight we need to be able to take down atleast a knight rank abyssal in a one on one."
After hearing advice and information from the two knights and Elowen, the duo then concocted a plan on how to takedown the amalgamation fast.
" Is everyone done with their preparation? The creature would detect us once we're back, the cave is full of abyssal energy so it's possible for it to have a fast regeneration” Elowen asks the party as she prepares a spell called Planeshift.
After making sure that the group is ready for the fight, Elowen then proceeds to open the portal back to the material plane to confront the amalgamation.
Coming back from the Feywild, the group is back to the place where they suddenly vanished from. The creature is nowhere in sight which to Dragbaki and the others is a great sigh of relief as they can then proceed to set up their plan. The group then get to their position as the duo wait in the, center of the cavern waiting for the creature knowing that it would come to them naturally and that although it can detect them. Its detection is not accurate enough to really detect their specific location.
