Chapter 1.1 - Dungeon Sight

When I came too I was once again in an empty world, or at least it seemed that way. I could vaguely feel something faint surrounding me on all sides, key word being that I could feel. This implies I now have a body of sorts so I guess I should try to identify what and where I am.

Could whatever makes this blue box please give a warning next time? My non-existent heart almost had a figurative heart attack.

Oh so it responds to user input? Nice. Well for now judging by the warning about potential "fatal accidents" I should probably just sit back and relax for a while... Speaking of which how long till the tutorial starts?

So whats first?

Tutorial 1: Dungeon Sight In order to adapt into life as a dungeon core you first need to learn how to use your five senses as one, this can be done through the skill known as dungeon sight and it is an essential part of life as a dungeon core. In order to unlock the dungeon sight skill attempt to concentrate on your surroundings.

So i've just got to concentrate? Well then for now I guess i'll concentrate on that "feeling" I was getting earlier. It feels slippery and... liquidy? Almost like a goo, quite frankly i'm not sure what it is at all. But I continue to concentrate on it, to feel it, to perceive it, and everything begins to become clearer. The goo like feeling gradually began to clear up becoming clearer and less murky, almost like it was being purified, and with it I began to form the first vestiges of sight... Only to find myself in the middle of an open field. The sky was a clear blue with naught a cloud in sight, the suns radiance bore down on the grasslands covering my view in such a way that it seemes rather beautiful, although not enough to emotionally move me or anything; T'Was just a field of grass after all.

I then moved on to looking at myself and was woefully dissapointed, what appeared to be my body was a perfectly spherical orb coloured a dull grey, it had a diameter of 6 cm's and could be easily held in the hand or stored in a pocket. The orb was lodged into the top of a grey pillar about 50 cm's in height and although I call it a pillar it was more like a block of stone with an indent at the top for the orb to fit into, all in all i was completely unremarkable in any way. To say I was not satisfied would be an under statement and so I decided to go above and beyond what the tutorial required of me- I concentrated even harder than before, attempting to grasp at any sort of invisible force that might be in the surroundings.

I searched, I searched more, I searched even more. Time seemed to fly as I scoured through every blade of grass, through every chunk of dirt, through the sun's rays themselves until I finally turned the search towards myself and perceived something. I wasn't quite sure what this something was but I sure as hell wasn't going to pass up the chance that's turned my way and so I concentrated harder that I ever have before, and eventually my efforts were rewarded. The world seemed to light up in a cresendo of colour, a formless energy flowed through everything, strangely it was all colour coded I saw blues, reds, browns, yellows, whites, and finally a blackish colour. All this colour in itself would be amazing but I saw that all this energy flowed through a single point in the lands, almost like a central hub or maybe a river crossing? It was my previously unremarkable core, my core which from my eyes now had a rainbow-like aura surrounding it.
