The Dungeon Of A Forest God
V1 | Ch 0 | Prologue

V1 | Ch 0 | Prologue

Darkness enveloped the world.

It was a world with nothing but pure blackness.

The sky was pitch black with no clouds, stars, nor moon. The earth was ebony and so barren that nothing grew on it.

A white cloud suddenly came out of nowhere. It gathered and formed into the shape of a boy with white hair and skin in contrast to this dark world.

A strong gust of wind enveloped him. Then, as if the air could wash away the darkness, it sucked all the black matter of the world and enveloped the boy with condensed ink.

Before long, the dark world vanished and left behind a bright blue sky and fertile soil. Small buds sprouted and rapidly grew into a healthy forest.

The black wind that enveloped the boy like a cocoon slowly dispersed. Floating in the air, there was nothing that changed in him except 2 black horns that appeared among his white hair.

“You are indeed quite a promising child,” an old man’s voice came from behind him. “This is my first time to produce 2 god-class children in the same century. I wonder if combining 2 different elements together really helps with the success rate, hmm?”

The dimension distorted and showed an old man with his long gray beard. He slowly approached the boy and carefully inspected his body.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

He let out a sigh when he pinched the boy’s arm, but then his eyes grew wide when he noticed the horns on the boy’s head.

“Really, your physical power is merely on the level of a human child, but what is this condensed magic power? How can this immense magic power be stored in this weak vessel? Is it because of these horns?”

The black horns were still small, but the tremendous dark-elemental magic was overflowing from it. It was as if the horns were made out of pure darkness.

“This smoothness and this shape. It’s different from demon’s horns. Are these… antlers? But there is no deer beastman in this world. Oh right, you must be a new species. I see... I see... Since you are like a deer, let’s call you Oscar. It’s from ‘Os’ that means deer and ‘Car’ that means friend.”

While touching the boy’s antlers, he looked at the surrounding forest.

“You have this immense power of darkness and the power of governing over forests. Truly befitting the name of a forest god. Your power materialized splendidly.”

With a swoosh, he produced a cane from thin air and swung it sideways blowing the forest along with the dimension away. What was left was only a pure white dimension stretched to no end.

The boy twitched a little as if he was having a bad dream

“Now, I’ll send you back to the outside world. Considering your nature… let’s set it in a forest somewhere. After that, find your home and we shall talk again.”

While still half asleep, the boy tried to open his eyes and sat up, but the old man tapped his cane on the forehead of the boy creating a black hole underneath.

“Well, see ya.”

The power that made the boy float suddenly disappeared and he fell into the black hole while trying to grasp what was going on.

“Oh and don’t die too quickly. You got it?”

Was what he heard before his vision was once again dyed black.
