Guild Notes: A normally dangerous opponent which can, albeit unreliably (and requiring eye contact) petrify opponents, A Gorgon Mage is made more dangerous by its use of wind magic. They are an intelligent species, and can, in certain circumstances, be negotiated with. However, since intelligent species are fully aware of the antagonist relationship between non-monster species and monsters, especially adventurers, it is instead considered more favourable to kill Gorgons on sight, and Gorgon Mages moreso.
It is a commonly spread myth, even among adventurers, that the head of a Gorgon can be used as a weapon, but research has proven that it is nothing more than one of the more gruesome subjugation proofs.
