Doll is happy. It clearly gets better the more food it eats, and, best of all, it didn't have to run away from adventurers!
Doll doesn't quite know why they were so scared, nor, in fact, does it know how it understood them. But they were, and it did. And as a result, Doll knows more.
Doll knows that its knife is part of its body, but a part that doesn't hurt when it breaks. Doll knows that it's faster than adventurers when it jumps. The adventurers didn't know, but when Doll jumped past them, it was scared. It thought it had been noticed, and it panicked, running forward rather than backward. But it was alive, nobody attacked it. Apparently, nobody had time to attack it.
It knows that adventurers don't have food inside them. At least, they don't have Doll's kind of food, not that Doll can recognise. It seems to have felt the difference, although it couldn't say what that difference was. But it knows that adventurers are enemies, and enemies not worth the risk of fighting. They're much bigger than doll, and one, Rex said several things Doll agreed with.
Doll is different. It can attack monsters. And monsters don't mind attacking It. It didn't know the knife was a part of its body, or that it bled, but this was good to know. After all, it's a part that doesn't hurt when it breaks, and so long as it doesn't break completely, doll can still kill.

Being loud attracts monsters. It sort of knew that, but thanks to those adventurers, it got two distracted meals, and it moved quietly and quickly to kill them.
Doll moves much faster leaping, and it's beginning to get better at leaping too.
But what Doll doesn't know from what Rex said is just as important. 5th... 5th, 4th, 6th... Doll knows, somehow, that 6th is down, and 4th is up, so 6th is bigger, and 4th is smaller. It knows that this dungeon has a name, although honestly, that doesn't seem important to Doll.
What you think are "rules" don't apply here.
That. Doll isn't part of the rules. There are rules to dungeons, things that, apparently, can be expected, but they can't here. Doll thinks. Other monsters don't seem to, but there are monsters that think. And, since they weren't expecting Doll to think...
Doll feels oddly disappointed. The other Doll talked. But it apparently doesn't think. It just looked like it did. Adventurers think. If doll had attacked, maybe it would be too quick for them. But if even one could hit it, Doll knew that it would die. And they seemed to be keeping Doll away from the two without blades. Adventurers without blades might be more dangerous.
But Doll is thinking while leaping, backwards, then to a new forwards, because the other thing Doll knows is that it wants new food. And new food isn't here. New food is elsewhere.
Maybe.
Corridor, corridors, corridor, corridors, corridor... Doll wonders if this is a kind of rule too. Or if the quiet is.
It hopes not, because while corridors let it leap really quickly, from wall to wall, or ceiling to ground, it's...
Boring?
Doll doesn't quite understand why all these words for the way it feels keep appearing in its head.
But yes. It's boring.
