I looked up and saw the cause of the voice. It was a little girl with snow white hair a fair face and stood no taller than me. However her eyes the were like an abyss. I was completely stuck in them i couldn't even move as she raised her hand and back slapped me."Ow! What was that for."
“She chuckled softly. I thought it would be troublesome for us to talk if you kept staring. “The voice that came from her mouth was hard to describe. It sounded like it could be male or female and the intensity of her voice made my entire body shake. However it did wake me up and I finally got a chance to take a good look at my surroundings. I was in a completely white room which seemed to stretch on forever.
“You haven’t answered my question mortal. Were you the one who has given me my sacrifice?”
“Sorry, it was indeed me who gave you the sacrifices.”
“You seem hesitant in your answer” she said giving him a cold smile.
“I was indeed the one who sacrificed them. However they intended to sacrifice me and I kind of ended up killing a few members of your cult.”
“Hahaha you you’re but a babe and yet you ended up killing some of my cult and from the content of the last soul. You’d have quite a bit of power. You’re a truly amusing boy.”
“I’m not a babe and I did kill them!”
“DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME BOY. I COULD SHRED YOUR SOUL TO PIECES AND FEED THEM TO YOU and then snapped her fingers.”
I felt my body rip, organs quake and as if my very soul were shattering.”I’m sorry I won’t do it again.”
“I suppose you learned your lesson” and then she snapped again.

“No problem now on to business”. She said sitting on a white chair that appeared out of thin air. You have given a significant sacrifice and as such and demonstrated great power for someone so young. As such I deem you worthy of being my champion. You will carry my banner and spread my word and in return I will give wealth and power beyond your wildest dreams.”
“I’m good.”
“WHAT”
“I mean as great as your offer is I kind of don’t want to” I explained hurriedly.
“You don’t want wealth.”
“I can make money on my own.”
“And great power?”
“I’ve just discovered a pretty cool power myself”
“Well what do you want?”
“I’ve been trapped in a church my whole life so I guess I just want to explore.”
“Pathetic I bet you want to slay monsters and become one of those pain in the ass adventurers.”
“No I just want to explore.”
Her face turned thoughtful.”So you want to be a drifter.”
“A drifter?”
“A couple thousand years ago they were the ones who used to wander the untamed world, well actually more like the plane you live in. I guess they could be called the original adventurers. However unlike the adventurers now they just went where they pleased and did what they wanted. Of course they all had a bit of power to be able to survive the land back then.”

“So were they all master and grandmaster rank.”
“Of course not. That would be way too weak to survive the world back then. Most of them were immortals”
Impossible there were very few immortal ranked people in the continent and yet she says that most of them were immortals.

“Well yeah very few people actually make it that far. Most people only make it up to the peak of the mortal rank. Only a select few can make it up to the level of immortals.”
“Is it really all that special.”

“I haven’t been down to the mortal realm in several thousands of years you’ll have to explain how you rank yourselves to me.”
“OK but I only know what the priest told me. There are three different types of power the espers, Warriors and the mages. The espers have unique powers and are the hardest to train so they only have 10 stages of power. The Martial artist and the mages gain power by cultivating mana which is easy to train so they share the same ranking system. Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Master and grandmaster. All of them are then split into sections low tier and high tier. Of course this is only the mortal rank once you past these you eclipse human capabilities and gain the title immortal.”
“You humans always make the little things so complicated. So what rank would you be.”
“I don’t know I’ve never got my rank tested. But my power is kind of strange so I don’t know how they would test me in the first place.”
“Weird. How so?”
“Well mana is separated into two forms the raw which is spiritual and the elements which is elemental. You know how all mages use elemental energy to control the elements and how warriors use spiritual energy to strengthen the body. I don’t”
“What do you mean.”
“Well I couldn’t use elemental energy to become a mage so I used the raw mana instead.
“That’s pretty interesting. I’ve only heard of immortals who possessed high spiritual energy.”
“The immortals?By the way could you please tell me where I am.”
“That’s easy I took you to one of my personal planes.”
“So could you take me back?”
“Sure but first I need to find a decent gift for you. After all you’ve denied all my other offers.”
“Can I request something?”
“Sure.”
“Could you make my body tougher? It’s too weak to handle the amount of mana I use. I had to enhance it a little and my foot is still in pain.”
“Of course I can. You see to make a body stronger you just have to destroy and rebuild the muscles. For you I’ll even make a special exception and do your internal and external muscles. Alright let’s get to it you’d better clench your teeth.”
