"If only life had a reset button, it would make everything so much easier. But even if it had, those memories will stay engraved in our souls." -Fuji Chisei

I had many dreams while I was in a deep coma that I can’t recall; at this point, I thought I was dead… but wait… why did I die? I slowly opened my eyes realizing that I had a throbbing headache. I woke up in a room that I’ve never seen before. It had cement walls, a couple of candles here and there that were off; dust particles moving through the rays of light that were shining through the little cracks of the wooden window. Where the hell am I?
I slowly got up from the bed and noticed that I had casual clothes, a white T-shirt, brown cargo pants, and white socks. Was is the last thing I remember? I tried recalling back my memories, but nothing came to mind, not even my name, age, families nor what the present time was.
I noticed a bowl with clean water by my bed; someone must have been taking care of me. I went up to a mirror and saw that I had brown hair and black eyes.
“Hmm... I don't look half bad!” Right now I felt as if I was inside another person's body. Like if I invaded their life out of nowhere... it was a weird feeling. I looked down on my neck and noticed I had a golden heart locket-necklace, I opened it, and there was a picture of a charming girl that had crimson hair and dual-colored eyes.
“Wow… she is so charming. I wonder who she is, and what did she mean to this person?” As I was looking at myself, the door slowly opened, letting out a screech. A young woman around the age of 20 opened the door, she had another bowl with some more clean water on her hands. As soon as she saw me, she dropped the bowl on the floor, gasped and covered her mouth.
“Good... morning?”
“You're finally awake!” She exclaimed.
“Who... am I?” I asked. She took a deep breath, sat down on the bed and said,
“Come here, I'll explain everything.” Without hesitations, I sat next to this mysterious woman; the curiosity of my past was killing me. I started looking at her even more. She was wearing a maid outfit, she also had her brown hair in twin braids; personally, I think she looked very gorgeous. I looked into her eyes as fast as I could to not make it awkward and noticed that she had beautiful pink eyes.

“Wow... you're eyes... they are pretty!” She got startled and said,
"Oh! Thank you." She said with a smile and a blush. I crossed my legs and looked straight at her with a curious smile.
"So, who am I?"
"Your name is Rukito, and you've been in a coma for 1 entire year."
"A coma? For a year?!"
"Yeah, I found you at the edge of the south coast and decided to take you in."
"What was I doing there?"
"You... went on a rampage a year ago, killing many people and... splitting the continent in half."
"M-me?!"
"Yeah, you're a devil Rukito, a powerful one at that!" This all sounded like a fairy tale, but I have no one else to believe in, so I have no other choice than to have faith in what she is telling me, she doesn't seem like a liar.
"Why... why would I kill so many people?"
"I don't know that part... but I brought you in hoping that I could... change you, but as I see, you have no memories of what happened."
"I was... a horrible person."
"That doesn't matter anymore, you don't have any memories."
"Yeah, but... I am mad at myself now."
"Well, you're being hunted by the whole world right now... so I changed your hair color and eye color for your safety."
"Wait, really? What color do they use to be?"
"You had red hair and golden eyes." I noticed that these were the same colors that the girl in my necklace had, so maybe… she was my sister?
"Wow... such weird colors." She softly giggled and said,
"Don't say that! You actually didn't look bad." I smiled at her, bowed and said,
"Thank you so much for helping me..." I instantly looked up and said, "Wait, I never got your name."
"It's Fuji."
"Thank you, Fuji."
"Don't mention it; I always help people who are in need."
"Weren't you scared?"
"I was... but the urge to help you was stronger than my fears."
"You're a nice person, Fuji."
"So, what are you planning on doing?" She asked me.
"Hmmm... I'd like to stay here for a bit if you don't mind. I would love to hear more about this world and many other things I don't know. But for some reason... I remember one specific thing out of everything that I forgot," I said while looking to the side.
"What is it?" She asked while tilting her head.
"I need to find all of the divine gemstones... and it's vital that I do before it's too late."
