The deep blue colored has long since disappeared in the wind and what was left was a pair of brown colored Goblins who stood around the size of a human. The male of the pair had long flowing black hair which seemed sharp to the point, his long fingers now held sharp black fingernails which looked like small daggers. On his body were runes which depicted a humongous bear that fought against the moon.
On the other hand, the female of the pair had no nails and her hair though long was not pointed at the end, instead her body was covered with runes depicting a bear controlling the earth to attack a horde of enemies. Her face became more human like and on her body was a robe which magicians would wear. As to what purpose the clothes serves and as to how she acquired them is a mystery left for another day.
The pair of human like brown Goblins lied on the ground breathing softly and calmly making their chest rise and fall ever so slightly. The trees seemed to welcome this new pair of creatures as their family as they danced with joy making small whooshing sounds as their branches shook and moved to an inaudible beat. The forest seemed peaceful and happy no semblance of its former ruthless self was death occurred every second.
But, the peace didn’t last long before a creature that resembled a boar came strutting into this small paradise. It saw the two newly evolved Goblins, an easy target it probably thought as a save expression overtook its confident face.
Crunch, crunch, crunch
The leaves and fallen branches from the previous battle broke under its every step as it picked up its pace causing the sound to become louder and faster as it neared its unconscious prey. The trees which were just dancing with happiness came to a complete stop as they stared at the intruder with hostility. The trees wished they could attack this intruder and save the new additions to their family.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Sadly, they weren’t trents and had nothing but thoughts and feelings and were unable to actively attack and move around. Suddenly when all hope seemed lost and the boar became close enough to fit the pair in its mouth a tension breaking crunch was heard as the biggest of all the trees stood up.
The tree was the only tree that stood still out of all the previously dancing trees but suddenly two eyes and a mouth popped out from beneath the bark. This is the Trent Oscar the Wise, this Trent has been around in this world for hundreds of year and no body knows exactly where he comes from or how far his power truly lies but long ago after it witnessed the death of its closest friend it decided to lock itself away and today was the day it finally decided to show itself to the world under the pleas of its children.
Root after root shot out from underneath the soil leaving fissures in the ground, the roots wrapped around the scared boar as it strangled and blead the beast dry before throwing it to one of the random trees to grow and evolve as it truly understood how hard it is for their race.
The forest became overturned with unrest became quieted as one of the overlords of the vast forest rooted itself back in the ground and closed itself off again. But before falling into its eternal rest again its eyes underneath the bark shined as a divination occurred without warning.
Shock, pure utter terror also followed as its eyes trembled, it looked at the one its saved as calculations flashed through its mind, too many to count but finally it made its mind up as something cut itself off from the Trent and buried itself in the body of the sleeping Ben. With that the Trent truly and finally laid to rest again, unknown if it will ever regain consciousness again.
