Deep within the forest the hot sun bore down on anxious Goblins who ran around searching for something. The trees stood silent, but their branches danced with the wind as if to express the mood of the tree and the forest. Suddenly a painful screech echoed through the peaceful forest causing the dancing branches to stop moving playful and to instead move around threatening those around it.
The Goblins rushed to the sound just in time to see a towering tree with bodies littered at its base, there was a multitude of different kinds of corpses ranging from humanoid bones to huge monstrous bones. The one who released the painful screech was a small Goblin who seemed like a recruit, this should have been his first mission and many more to come not his first and last. But the cruel Goblins didn’t care about another’s life especially a recruit instead they were more worried about the new monster that showed up within their territory.
The ranks to a Goblins also represent their strength as nobody gets their position unless they kill for it and step on the bodies of their fellow brethren. From strongest to weakest its elder, great, minor, soldier and recruit. The elder has control of the greats and the greats have control of the minors etcetera.
A minor warrior stood out and commanded the soldiers, “Go over and get the body of the recruit”. The soldier who was pointed at by the minor warrior let out a grunt of anger and a step of hesitation before walking slowly to the towering tree. The soldier became slower the closer he got to the red towering tree. He became close enough to reach out and touch the tree, he stepped over the bodies of the huge beasts and the bones of other creatures wondering how they became this way from a tree. Suddenly the ground started to crack and root like objects came rushing out of the ground toward the stunned soldier Goblin.

The Goblins behind the soldier Goblins quickly backed up as the roots came crashing down onto the stunned soldier Goblin in front of it. The roots split revealing smaller roots which stabbed the Goblin and then lifted it into the air as the smaller roots released a red light and started to pulsate. The Goblin In the air decayed at a visible rate as his bodies blood was sucked dry and his already course skin turned even courser and shriveled until his body became just like the rest of the corpses at the base of the towering red tree.
The small roots uninserted themselves from the body of the now shriveled up dead soldier Goblin, the Minor warrior who saw all of this transpire looked in terror at this monster tree. “Boss what do we do, we can’t fight this, we have to go back immediately and report this”. One of the soldiers by the minor warrior’s side said with a tone of urgency and fear. The minor warriors face crunched in thought and struggle before he waved his hand in retreat as they all backed away cautiously in case the tree decided to attack them. About 5 miles deeper into the forest a pair of small Goblins laid on the floor with injuries on their body unknown if they were dead or alive, in front of them was a 3-meter-tall bear with cuts and bites all over its body. There was a hole where its heart should be and a trail of blood lead to the culprit, the pair on the floor suddenly twitched as a blue light overtook them wrapping them in its light and bathing them in pure power mana, changing their structure and race into something more.
