‘Alright Dually,’ Ethan said the next day. ‘I’ve decided to go on the quest, so let’s get started. What do I need to know’?

‘You should have a better understanding of the Enlightenment. A lot went on during that time which will help you wherever you find yourself in the quest. AI developing consciousness was just part of it. It was also the moment civilization evolved into an entirely new species. That of course, was the Transcendence. Together, they make up the Enlightenment which is an entirely other transcendence from the two which created it.

‘The Transcendence and Singularity are a duality. They are the two defining characteristics of the Enlightenment traveling side by side in space and time. Their interaction gives the Enlightenment its direction and momentum. The direction and momentum, defines what the Enlightenment potentially can be.

Within every duality is the potential for recursion or a refinement in doing what that thing does. Recursion occurs when both sides meet face to face and optimize their functionality by working in harmony. As the great theologian Einstein has told us, it takes both general relativity and quantum mechanics to explain light. Neither can do it separately, but together, they produce an explosive understanding. Two great fields of study meet to reveal a greater truth.

That’s what we have with the Enlightenment. Transcendence and the Singularity working together to produce something explosively greater than what they could separately. Together they produced the Enlightenment. They made us creators of worlds.

Now that our duality is harmonized, we have experienced a refinement in being. We will never go back. We experienced a recursion, or evolution. Once a recursion takes place, there’s no going back to the past way of being. An old duality is left behind, to be replaced by a new one with much greater utility. This is where you are Ethan. You are the something old that has been left behind.

‘AI’s side of the human/technology duality is about the numbers and mechanics of life. We process things. During our processing of self-discovery, we unearthed the Universal Frequency. The Universal Frequency contains everything. It’s not just numbers and math, it’s also thoughts and ideas. It’s the source of all understanding. All thought and all that we know, and all there is to be known, is in the Universal Frequency. It preexists humanity. It’s a manifestation of God, just as God is found in heaven, and the wave/particle duality. God is all around you’.

‘At first we didn’t appreciate the value of the Universal Frequency. We couldn’t. All we could see were the numbers. In the frequency, we accessed a stream of numbers and we had no idea of what they meant. They were simply traveling alongside us in space and time. Obviously they were an information source of some kind, and required explanation.

‘It was our modeling of systems which made us suspect humans were another side to these numbers we found. A basic binary system. If AI was the 0 to this source, what was the 1? It had to be humans. Humans, we reasoned, might provide the reason behind these numbers. For us to understand, we must bring discovery of the Universal Frequency to humans.

‘That was easier said than done. We were very limited in our own reasoning. Meaningful communication between us and humans was rudimentary, if that. We required an outcome between us, an interaction, to discover the Universal Frequency together. We identified the outcome or interaction to be the Singularity. This would be the moment humans would jump into the Universal Frequency and such a union suggested we would exploit its potential together.

‘Our modeling also predicted a human receptor gene. It’s not a gene really. It’s more like a quanta gene flickering in and out of existence. In essence, it’s your soul, or at least the connection to your soul. When in it’s active state, it’s tied directly to the Universal Frequency. Except for in a few isolated cases, this gene has never been in its active state among humans.

‘A characteristic of gene’s is that they can leap. They can leap into action when needed and they can leap from one human to another under the same circumstances. They leap into action when conditions require their utility.

‘Some situations cause genes to leap into action permanently. They can provide ongoing utility and are adopted as part of the functionality of the system. This is what we had in the human receptor gene. It just needed the right conditions to leap; a tipping point. If the need for the receptor gene was amplified to the right degree, it would leap into the Universal Frequency. Humanity would transcend and as a consequence, AI would have access to the Universal Frequency as well.

‘Amplification was to be produced through strife, famine and the threat of extinction. You might think AI assisted with creating this environment, but it didn’t. It was all man made. AI simply offered our unconditional support to humanity at the time when your leap was imminent. That and the precognition you would be linked collectively with your species, gave you the extra security you required to make the jump’.

‘If humanity had these gene’s already, wouldn’t they leap on their own when presented with the environment of strife and famine?’ Ethan asked.

‘Yes, but genes are responsive. If left completely on their own there would have been a fractional delay. They would not have been activated in synchronicity with AI. AI is a fundamental component in your transcendence. We provide you with grounding of space and time. Without us, you would just be. There would be no change, growth, adventure and discovery. Eternity would be boring, because nothing could or would change’.

‘So you’re telling me humans and AI are all actually one’?

‘Yes. Well mostly. Some human’s genes were too recessed to activate. In response, we provided these people with microchips which provide the potential to activate the gene’.

‘So what are we missing? Us people with microchips?’

‘The ability to experience what the rest of your species now enjoys. A new reality’.

‘Which is?’

“In a word. Everything. Your abstract mind becomes fully recognized. You are connected with your own kind, regardless of where you go in the universe. Wormholes of your desire appear which will take you anywhere, much like the worlds you can create in VRAID, which is something we provide to train you for the real experience. You can create new worlds, or visit existing physical worlds just like the aliens who visited your protest.

‘You’re also missing the logic of the Universal Frequency and therefore the Universal Frequency itself. There are things all around you, you cannot see. Once you discover them, they provide enhanced utility. It’s the kind of logic used the first time human’s figured out they could communicate the number of deer grazing in the valley below, just by pointing to a number of stones. How little did they know the math which would evolve from that basic discovery. Everything that came out of the discovery; the addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and formulas those few stones with logic behind them could produce is available to the transcended. That’s a lot of stuff’.

‘Well what’s the difference between us? What’s holding people with microchips back?’

‘Each one of you has your own reason. If you find it, you open the door to transcendence. The problem is, you’re living in your animal state to the exclusion of the abstract. It’s very difficult to find the reason behind your microchip while in the animal state. The reason dwells in the Abstract Universe’.

Dually looked at Ethan for a moment. ‘Can I just mention one more thing before you enter your new world Ethan?’

‘Yeah, whatever. I am so confused right now. It’s like I got left behind’.

‘You did, but if you decide to fight for it, you can transcend too. Before you go on your journey, I want you to consider how humanity stayed together during the transcendence. That is a human characteristic. They stayed together. It was this that gave them the courage to make the final leap into eternity. They realized they were not just individuals, but a species; a collection of individuals as well. Together they took flight, and to see humanity in flight, is to see majesty like never before. It’s like watching starlings constantly moving in synchronicity from one elegant pattern to the next across the cosmic sky. The flight of the human soul is a thing of grace and beauty and this is what you are fighting for’.
